Mr. AOW and I will be going to our local VFW on this Memorial Sunday. There we will commemorate side by side with two WW2 veterans, most of whom have left us now.

We need to keep the troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and other overseas locations in our thoughts and prayers this Memorial Day weekend.

Thank you to all our veterans, and those who died to keep America free. May we at home have the courage to honor those who went before us, by carrying on the fight for freedom.

God Bless America.

The photo reminds me of some things I still need to do before this three day weekend comes to an end. Go visit some old friends and family members that are no longer with us. I should take the time to do that more often. Tomorrow I will attend a Memorial at the site of a Memorial that was erected to honor the veterans of all wars. I get the opportunity to thank a vet almost daily. I work part time as a maintenance man at a homeless shelter that houses a lot of homeless veterans. A very sad situation. I wanted to stop by today to thank everyone that has ever served or is now serving in the United States Military. Thank you for everything you've done to keep our country free.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

Jesus said it. Then He demonstrated it.

Z..a beautiful, and meaningful text of scripture for this day.

My throat constricts, and my eyes fill with tears to think of all of the wonderful men and women who have sacrificed so much that we might have freedom...may we never take that for granted, and may their sacrifices never be in vain.

May God protect, and bring home, safely, the ones serving at this very moment. May He be a comfort to their families, and give them peace of mind.

Thank you to all here who have done your part in keeping our country safe, and free.

And thank you, Z, for giving us an opportunity to express our gratitude, here.

God bless our troops! Every single one that has ever served.

I will be calling my dad and thanking him for serving and risking his life in Vietnam.

Jan, believe me, it's MY pleasure.

Karen, thanks! I swear that "God writes these Sunday Faith Blogs"....stuff comes to my mind...or I get an email...or something. My Memorial Day post was ready on Friday afternoon and, sure enough, a friend sent me a video link that ROCKS and I added it...it's amazing how posts come together; that happens ALL the time...ESPECIALLY for the Sunday blogs. I love that.

Leticia, thank your dad for Us, too xxx
