OH, I see.......The Obama's are 'authentic' because they BUMP.
Seriously. CAN we fawn over these two any more than 'we' are? I feel like I've gone to Haagen Dasz for my favorite ice cream and they keep saying "No, we only HAVE strawberry..."
"But I'd like COFFEE!" "No, we ONLY HAVE STRAWBERRY! and you will LIKE IT!"
"but, but............I don't like it." "TOUGH!" "but......but.........do I HAVE to eat it?"
I've had enough of this couple... makes me want to go stick my thumb in my mouth and yell "mommmmmmmeeeeeeeeee"!
I know you'd probably seen this stupid story before; just had to vent. Are we going to get BUMPED TO DEATH? (Ha, Hillary might just like that, "MY PRETTY!" scroll down, you'll get it)
*thanks to my blogger friends, Pinky and Frank Family on this one!
BY THE WAY...THIS might be the best thing George F. Will has ever written. But, will anyone have the guts to really ASK OBAMA these questions?

Does that mean Howie Mandell and all the greedy people on "Deal or No Deal" are real too?
Hi, Dr. John...thanks for coming by!
And yes, if those greedy people are bumpin', they MUST be real.(right?!!LOL!)
Check this out..

I'd seen Gene Simmons on some Conservative cable TV, so I thought maybe..? very interesting!
The stuff on your knee's a LITTLE more graphic than I can take, but I hope you're doing well!
Thanks Z!
the next thing you know we'll have to know the time of his next bowel movement..ugh
frank family..I thank YOU!
Elbro..you had to say BOWELS today, when I just had a colonoscopy this AM? AAARGH!!!
You're right, Z, George Will writes a fine piece there. I have given up on the media asking the least bit of a difficult question to their savior, though.
And the 'bump'? Don't get me started!
karen, the 'bump' used to be a fun part of dancing (as witnessed during the kitchen cleaning/dishwasher loading scene in THE BIG CHILL to "Heard it Thru the Grapevine"!), but now...
that's ruined for me, as well, right!!??
Wow, excellent column by George Will.
Thanks for the linkage, Z!
I heard another 87 'Mommmmmeeee!'s
today, but I slowed down to enjoy them a little more. ;-)
Pinkster, glad you liked the Will article..great stuff, isn't it.
As for the other thing? atta girl.
relish in it, sweetie...how they love you!
and soon enough they'll stop calling you and start calling their friends
elbro...you are so wise.
beautifully said.
THE LAKERS LOST.
Mr and Mrs. Z are bereft.
and NOBODY make a crack..hear me!??!!
So sorry to see the Obamas likened to Haagen Dazs strawberry, which is the ONLY strawberry ice cream worth eating. Of course I personally go for the chocolate but believe me, the strawberry is FANtastic. About the Obamas, oh well, not as tasty as strawberry.
Obama's chances of beating McCain in November are slightly less than the chances that Ethiopia will colonize Pluto next month.
I'm sorry but the best ice cream is Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey, which is one of the two greatest things leftists have given mankind (the other is the AK-47)
wrong, Beamish...
Coffee OR Baskin-Robbins BASEBALL NUT! OR pralines and cream?
What's in Chunky Monkey? I've heard of that.....'course, I'm a little afraid to ask!
Michelle & Barry are authentic allright, authentic phonies.
Never really got into B&J's. Love B&R Pralines and Cream AND their Jamoca, BUT when it comes to strawberry, ONLY Haagen Dazs does it right.
well, cj, I'll have to try their Strawberry! Thanks! you've got my curiosity up. I used that as 'the other' flavor (Obama), not as a slam to strawberry ice cream!
Jamoca is my alltime favorite...after a REALLY good vanilla.
Actually, we're getting SO politically correct I had to use COFFEE for the one I LIKE (which I do, anyhow) and STRAWBERRY ...because I was afraid to use Vanilla and Coffee, if you know what I mean. ARGH!!
I am so sick and tired of politics I went and researched B&J's Chunky Monkey. Aha, BANANA! And according to some reviews, REAL banana too, not the synthetic banana of so many other brands.

Sounds like it's definitely worth a taste some time.
Which brings me back to Haagen Dazs because that's what they did for strawberry. Not that anemic, synthetic and sometimes overripe or even borderline rotten strawberry flavor of so many other brands, but REAL strawberry, popping fresh ripe strawberry.
HD once did a Macadamia praline number that definitely rivaled B&R's Pralines and Cream, but I haven't seen it in years. It should have been popular, not discontinued.
Yeah, Z, I can see how you had to avoid certain implications. Oh well, made for a zippy conversation about ice cream.
Finally read George Will's column. He nailed it. Thanks.
I remember the bump and the dance from my younger, rowdier days. Good times. The Obamas were just trying to be cool for the kids. Blech.
Jamoca flavor of B/R ice cream used to be my favorite. Coffee is always the favorite of my husband's. I've been on a strawberry kick lately.
Beamish -- I must differ with you on the Chunky Monkey in favor of New York Super Fudge Chunk. However, I wholeheartedly agree with the AK-47. I would also add the Macbook as I love mine!
The way B. Hussein and the media are carrying on it's like there is no need for an election, B. Hussein is already joking about his second term in the white house, the arrogant ass.
The message being delivered to you Americans is that you are lucky B. Hussein is running for president. That you NEED B. Hussein. I just hope you see it for the arrogance it is.
MK..you're so right. I'm hearing the European media talking about how their leaders have said they would enjoy working with this dope, too.
He's being crowned before we pick him.
This COULD be good, though...this could mean that the public is tired of the media or anybody else (or BARACK, for that matter) TELLING us we're going to have him.
I must say, though, a lot of this is backlash to Bush. I just met a woman married to a Cuban American pilot; Since he's Cuban, I said "I'll bet he's conservative" and she said he was but the Iraq war has turned him off Conservatives... she said it had surprised her...that he feels we have to have CHANGE.
I just don't GET how supposedly bright people are falling for CHANGE with no description of what that change is other than it's said by an articulate young nominee. It's just STUPID! You ought to try living with a Conservative German husband who feel Obama's a scourage; life ain't easy for mrs. Z these days! Mr. Z isn't happy with more than half of America...BIG TIME!!! (Neither is he happy with most Germans, so don't all gang up on him, folks!)
It ain't a walk in the park around here either, Z! My conservative, midwestern Hoosier is screaming stuff at the television news on a nightly basis that I wouldn't dare repeat in polite company! It's going to be a long, long summer!
OOOOOOOOOOH< Karen, then you KNOW!! MAN!!
My husband calls it "self mutilation" when he catches me watching CNN!! SELF MUTILATION! And he's right!
He NEVER tells me what to do or how to do it in our life together, but DO NOT PUT ON LARRY KING..HELL TO PAY!!
Well, I'd like to point out the "we" don't fawn over these two mediocrities so much as the media does. Some how they became party of the American royal family, crowned by the media.
Of course the same can be said for the crushing mediocrity of John McCain who is also a media darling ("the maverick" (LMAO)).
Still, I'll take Obama's mediocrity since with McCain's you also get stupidity.
Ducky, let's see when mcCain's been stupid, okay?
And, DARN, sometimes character does matter. I know it doesn't to liberals, but around here it does.
Rezko, Ayers, Wright, Pfleger..."Gee, I didn't know that's what they were LIKE!?" pretty stupid, in my opinion.
And yes..it's ALL MEDIA. And ALL BIASED TOWARDS the left. YOU said it. Thanks. "Maverick" isn't QUITE "Messiah", is it and, let's face it, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS....Obama's pretty darned much shielded as some MESSIAH.
