I've always wondered about that myself. WHY do taxpayers vote for thieves? And I have a theory
Sorry bout that, here's the theory....
The majority of income tax payers DO NOT in fact vote for the Dems, unless of course you're talking about the lefty havens on both coasts. NYC, SanFran, Seattle, etc.
The Dems get 30-40% of the taxpayer vote in any given election and 90% of the vote of the VERY rich and VERY poor. That's how they eek out 48-52% in any given national election. The middle 80% of the population have a far greater stake in the financial and national security well-being of the U.S. than do the very rich or very poor.
The ultra-wealthy are often like the Kennedys and Rockerfellers, who don't live off tremendous INCOMES, but have huge inherited wealth. Thus they don't pay huge income taxes. They enjoy their status and don't want to be bothered by ambitious young businessmen who make them look bad.
They always have enough wealth to survive a bad economy, so their "stake" in the well-being of America isn't as great as the middle 80%. They vote for the party of aristocracy, and that's the Dems.
The very poor are usually too stupid to understand the implications of voting for thieves, and vote OVERWHELMINGLY for the Dems. After all, if you struggle like crazy to pay the bills AND the Rent-a-Center, AND
the over-priced dime bag, you'll vote for the guy who promises to take more money from the "rich guys" to give it to you.
It's very emotionally satisfying to think you have less because someone else has more.
My main point is this; if you have a stake in the well-being of America, you probably vote Republican.

You should try the Democrat Bucket of Chicken at KFC...nothing but left wings and A--HOLES!
Tax money is important for welfare. It is needed to pay off lamers who sit at home and smoke medical marijuana and invite all their hippie love friends over to help them kill off a month's prescription's worth.
A note on KFC - They have sharply slid downhill in quality over the past 20 years or so. If you want salmonella poisoning, go there in the summer (hot) months.

And steve? I drove OUT of a KFC two weeks ago without my order! I'd driven up to the window and ordered one of those barbecued chicken sandwiches and could see the worker damping it down with bare hands. I told the cashier that I'd changed my mind and why and drove off! Thanks for your warning!

Not to maneuver into another topic but I once questioned what was in a plastic bucket....it was semi-frozen, and thawing out chicken. The workers were picking it out with their gloved hands and dipping the pieces in batter.
The gloves were cool, but the bucket was a bit low to the floor.
Also, try hitting a KFC's dinner buffet around 8pm. Very messy, but I think the artificial fingernail found in the corn was the showstopper.
Hey, at least she had class - these were the expensive "French cut" ones.
Yep, says it all. Although if you want to be accurate with both the candidates, the other option is like the chicken voting for Ronald Mcdonald. Sure, you're not on the 'main' menu, but you're still on the menu. Tis a small comfort though.

apparently, colorado democrats are an ehtirely different matter:
If you think taxing marriage will reduce child abuse, you must be a Colorado Democrat.
* If you plan to pay for new programs with revenues from the oil and gas boom but hammer oil and gas companies with higher taxes and ridiculous regulations, you must be a Colorado Democrat.

* If you believe an unemployed trial lawyer is a bad thing, you must be a Colorado Democrat.
* If you think freedom of religion doesn't apply to churches, you must be a Colorado Democrat.
* If you believe good education comes from relaxing academic standards but getting tough on soft drink sales, you must be a Colorado Democrat.
* If you think we should raise taxes on working families to hire more college professors, you must be a Colorado Democrat.
* If you worry more about the cost of keeping criminals behind bars than the cost of putting them back on the streets, you must be a Colorado Democrat.
* If you think its wrong for government to legislate morality - except when it pays for that legislation with other people's money, you must be a Colorado Democrat.
