Barack's Sensitivity

Hillary's making her big concession speech today in Washington, at the National Building Museum*. There's much talk about whether she'll wholeheartedly endorse Obama or halfheartedly endorse him. This is one of the biggest speeches in her life. Hillary and her family and supporters have worked as hard as any campaign has to get this far. Hillary wanted the presidency like we want to see the Liberals come to their senses. The only difference between that happening and her getting the nod was at least she stood a chance, right? All this to say how important, how life changing, how hugely emotional and wrenching giving this speech this morning must be for her and her millions of supporters. There's video now of John King and Candy Crowley shmoozing live from the museum to Wolf Blitzer at CNN. OH, they love her, oh, they're so sorry for her; This is a difficult day for their Hillary. There's video of the crowd milling around in 100 degree humidity just to see this woman who nearly 18 million people support. There'll soon be video of Hillary taking the stage. In defeat. A really big day for her and her supporters.

The video of Obama this morning is his taking off in a dark SUV to play golf.

golf? today? what message does this send to her? to millions of Americans? what?
UPDATE: I'm just hearing Hillary (again) is keeping all those people in that heat waiting for at least thirty minutes. So...............maybe this is all just a Democrat thing?
anybody know what a National Building Museum IS?

Z at the risk of sounding insensitive, ROTFLMAO!!! I hope Barack was laughing up a storm as he went off for a round of golf. :-) There is indeed a G-d!

I DESPISE THE HUMAN SALAMANDERS known as the Clintons. They endangered the very existence of 300 million Americans by selling missile guidance technology to Chicoms for bags of cash. If I wasn't so damned dog tired right now I'd throw a block party and have prizes for those who could hit a huge picture of Hillary's mug with a pie or a pile of dog squeeze!

They are EVIL and as for their supporters, they can go to @#$%!

I hope my post didn't beat around the bushes too much. :-)

I would even force myself to play boring old golf if it meant I could miss Hillary's babbling about hate Bush, hate Bush, and hate Bush.

"I entered this race because I have an old-fashioned notionpublic sevice is about helping people attain THEIR dreams."

GIMME A BREAK!!!

She looked like she wanted to BARF as she said she would support Barack to be the next President!

Sorry about the sloppy post. I was in a hurry.

VERY important: She said the word "suspend", not "I quit" or "I concede" or "I'm out of the race". She's said everything BUT that!

"There are no acceptable prejudices in the twenty-first century"

Does that include prejudices against terrorists or communists or socialists?

I heard that one too papa! When's the last time that this she-wolf picked up a raggedy hitchhicker?

Does the venue for her speech symbolize anything for you, Z?

For example, John Kerry's concession speech to George Bush was, I believe, from Faneuil Hall in Boston. Bush's last acceptance was in the "Reagan Building"

Anonymous said...

...as opposed to some place like Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia.

Anonymous said...

Obama's nomination acceptance speech was given at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Can you say Malcomb X?

Symbolism can sometimes be discounted, but one does so at their OWN peril.

IMO - Obama is saying loud and clear to the New Left throughout the WORLD... we've won. We've CONQUERED America. The old guard is OUT.

Anonymous said...

The RNC's convention will also be conducted at the Xcel Energy Center. Coincidence?

I don't believe in coincidences.

Anonymous said...

...not when there are trillions of dollars/year at stake.

Anonymous said...

Course, the real "symbolic" question is whether or not Big Brown is going to win the Triple Crown. ;-)

The line I found fascinating , for some reason, was "...so Americans can SAVE for college"...I thought that was kind of reassuring! AS IF a Dem believes any kid or his family should SAVE for something they want? As if they're suddenly not ENTITLED?!? I thought the Dems are promising it FREE, like Obama is, no? SAVE?

fj..."Xcel Energy"..fascinating.

As for Faneuil Hall..Old, traditional, beautiful and historic.
BUILDING museum? BUILDING a campaign again? I'd like YOUR interpretation (again!)

Morgan, Pops...I guess my whole point is more that any candidate would have the cool and disdain to go do sports at the moment someone's torturing herself by giving him a nomination. It's the last thing I'D have done, that's for sure.

Interesting that she SUSPENDED and never realy CEDED, isn't it.

Morgan...The "raggedy hitchhiker" line of yours reminds me of something. Hillary's worth MILLIONS, I wonder how much SHE has helped that 'poor single mother working 3 jobs and STILL can't afford healthcare..' etc.etc.etc.etc. EVER? But, she SURE wants US to.
And, we WOULD (and do) if we knew that young woman....we just would rather not have the government do it.....

Morgan..I can't even wish Barack is "laughing a storm"..I despise that man's platform, his smarminess, his lies, etc.....I can't stand Hillary, either, YOU KNOW THAT, but I think this said a LOT about Obama WE all knew.

I hope Americans wake up to it.

Thanks for bringing that up Farmer. Very interesting...

We're FINALLY getting live shots of Hill's little hottie "friend" Huma Abedin! It took THIS long to get a live picture of her on TV. No coincidences with the Clintons.

The Clintons crave three things:
1. Money
2. Power
3. Women
They're NOT that difficult to understand. This Barack thing is a loose "monkey wrench" in the Clinton machine and threatens their money and their power. Don't feel a BIT bad for these evil people.

It's more of a "masonic" thing. Carpenter's Hall is where they kept the "secrets" for building bridges, etc. It's where the 1st Continental Congress met to plan independence. Faneuil Hall in Boston is where the Ancient and Honourable Artillery Company hangs it's hat. Ben Franklin's brother was a member, and gave Ben a lot of helpful hints in designing Pennsylvania's defenses prior to the French and Indian War.

Kawanio Che Keekeru!

Huma is Hill's long time lesbian lover. She's Pali/Indian I think and a real hottie! It's stunning that it took this long for her to appear in the media. Just another instance of the media covering for Hill.

Z,

You don't know how much the Roman aristocracy used to like watching the quadriga races at the Hippo-drome.

Hippo-potamus. latin for "river-horse".

Bread and circus', Z. That's what the people crave.

We'll see. ;-)

MORGAN! WHERE do you get the feeling I FEEL BADLY FOR HER? I don't!
I feel it's about sensitivity and that he'll use this incredible lack of it EVERYWHERE should he win! THAT's my point!!

I feel sorry for her as a fellow traveler who, no matter HOW MUCH WE CAN"T STAND HER, has worked her arse off...I feel sorry like I feel for humanity, not HER. (though I have to admit it MIGHT be the very first time I felt a twinge of sad for her personally..YIKES, there's a scary realization!)....

I FEEL SORRY FOR AMERICA that a guy THIS tone deaf could be OUR PRESIDENT!

and ya...the Clintons sure do crave those three things. Especially the last one..at least for Bill.

Well..and maybe Hilla........naaa I'm not goin' there!

Z said...

OH. Was just at FPM and coincidentally found out who HUMA is. hmmm

who knew? WHERE have I BEEN?!

MAN, some of the blogs linked there on one of the guy's comments are pretty convincing there's some connection with this woman and Hillary.
Could THIS be what she and Obama discussed Thursday night at Dianne's? "Look, we'll reveal......" naaaa

oh, yaaaa

Z said...

morgan! Apparently, that 'suspended' word helps her get paid back some for the campaign...not sure how, but it does.

Apparently, she met with her high rollers at a reception afterwards. I'd have loved to have been there.

Except SHE would have been there, so.....!

I find it depressing that we are moving inexorably toward a socialist (police) state in this country, while people stand in adoration, clapping and shouting with enthusiasm. Honestly, I could not stomach watching Hillary, no more than I can bear the tripe issued by Barack Obama. On 7 June, let us reflect that those noble soldiers who died on the beach at Normandy did not give up their lives for what we have become.

Z said...

mustang, beautifully said and so sad. No, those soldiers wouldn't believe how soft we've become, would they.
I watch the crowds who love Hillary and Obama and can't figure out what they're THINKING. I keep thinking it's a kind of joke somehow....like they're just kidding.

Karen Townsend said...

Yeah, I saw the speech. Not. Impressed. Not that I ever am with her, though.

Suspend was the operative word. It allows her to get money for her debts and also, should she be needed at the convention (ahem!), she'll be available to be the nominee, ready to roll.

She was 46 minutes late. She only said a few minutes worth of her speech encouraging support for Obama. The rest, almost 30 minutes, was all about Hillary. And, she brought up her 18 million votes line several times to jab Obama.

They despise each other.

The Clintons didn't start out with millions. They came up the hard way, unlike George W. Bush who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth - which he exchanged for a bottle. Later he would start a phony war built on lies. 4,000+ troops later.... Like the Vietanm war, he will leave it for another president to clean up and he will retire to clear brush.

Z said...

Sue, nobody here wants to fight that battle again....tell us something new.
For pete's sake, "came up the hard way"? They've never owned a home till 5 years or so ago! And, she had a shower for people to give her gifts when she bought her townhouse!! We should all be that pushy, huh?
Hey, we differ on this BIG TIME, but I liked your musings at your blog. Come back. My husband's German and I enjoyed your talking about the German food, etc... "In Himmel Der Hast Kein Bier" isn't quite correct, but you get the picture that it means there's no beer in heaven! I've lived in Munich for about a year, and lived in Paris till 5 years ago, for 4 years...bliss. Germans, when explaining the best kind of life possible say "Leben Wie Gott In Frankreich" ...living "like God in France!" (we did!)

Morgan, I forgot..you're right. She was born into a very comfortable home....REPUBLICANS through and through...she was a Goldwater Girl!

Then she met MARXISM. You remember her term paper and how they hid it..you remember who she hung out with!

This would be easy to counteract/combat IF our kids weren't so indoctrinated they think Marxism isn't dangerous..and THAT is the problem we have in America today. in a nutshell, if I may be so humble as to suggest that!!

Hi All,
Those Hillary supporters aren't going to like the idea of Obama playing golf, while their idol concedes to him.

Furthermore he should have had a nice conciliatory little speech thanking Hillary for her support and welcoming her throngs of supporters, to his campaign immediately after she spoke.

But then, I should have known that to expect some class out of this bunch has been an exercise in futility for years.

Sue - It's about time a Republican President left some work for a Democrat to do, if he gets elected that is. I'm sure McCain is up to the job.

The last Democrat President had ample time it seems to diddle with interns instead of chasing down terrorists. After all, why bother with such an unpleasant task when there was so much fun to be had.
Give me a break!
