This is quite an article about how Obama vows to fight hard against "race-based ads".
Is anyone seeing anything like that where you live?
I haven't seen a single thing; the only thing I've heard about race in this election around here is "Why'd the first Black candidate have to be someone I don't agree with on anything?"
Tell me... are you seeing anything about "a Black in the White House" or cartoons with him in a turban (maybe like that one he posed for in the photo you've all seen by now? oops...mustn't let facts get in my way, that COULD BE racist)? And, really...the Left keeps whining that using Barack's middle name isn't fair. Hillary RODHAM Clinton? John FITZGERALD Kennedy? Richard MILHOUSE Nixon? George WALKER Bush? How would I even KNOW their middle names had they not been used?
If Hussein's his middle name and people are going to draw conclusions from that, (right OR wrong?? We can't know because it's RACIST to ask, right?), that's HIS PROBLEM. Grow up, Barack. And then, please leave this race........ and, really? It has SO NOTHING to do with race.
By the way? I firmly believe race is playing FOR him. White guilt, as Shelby Steele says.
But, maybe I'm being racist............but I'm hoping Obama spends a LOT of money on these 'racist ads' he's talking about. Americans don't like feeling guilty. He can't have it BOTH WAYS.

That guy's gotta lotta growing up to do, Z. I'd really prefer he do it outside the White House.
Z, the dems assume that white America cares a whole lot more about race than we really do. I hope he spends a ton on race ads. I hope he wears himself out over it. I don't care what color our next pres. is, as long as he/she is the right person for the job. The dems will keep whites and blacks under the oppression of racism as long as they can, because that's what keeps them in office. As long as there's 'the man' to fight against, the minorities will need the humble politicians to do the fighting for them..
ahem.
I'm stepping off my soap box now.
He's a jerk and a total phony.
oh, and I've said it before. But where I live?? Most of the folks who are voting for him are voting based SOLEY on skin color. Now THAT's racism.
"Every word will be twisted to make it about race," said Sen. Lindsey Graham, (R - Gay), a McCain friend and adviser. When he and others confront Obama on issues such as national security and the economy, Graham said, it will have "nothing to do with him being an African-American."
Notice how that maggot Graham frames this. He mentions the race being about race when it fact there haven't been racial accusations. So what the unthinking R base will take away is that they are being called racists.
Hasn't happened but their news sources are so limited they wouldn't know otherwise. Very nicely spun by Graham, a real piece of junk.
Like all leftists who don't like being questioned and having holes poked in their theories, he is laying the foundations for his escape card. Any issue where he's weak and incompetent on, which incidentally is a lot, he'll smear those that attack him as being racist. I believe this is why McCain was refusing to allow his middle name be brought up and applauding the fact that a black candidate was running, he should have those video clips ready to go. i hope his attempts at taking the wind out of Obambi's sails has worked, time will tell.
Ducky, maybe you want to read the post, it's Obama asking for it, saying he'll fight racist ads...YOU ever heard or seen one,DUCKY? He's brilliant, Obama....telling Americans the R's are racist when they haven't been.
Graham IS a weasel, but he's done right on this one.
I guess they mean a campaign ad that says "if you vote for George Bush black churches will burn".
Oh no, I forgot, it's only racism if it's aimed at a democrat.
So far, the only one who's talking about race being a problem is Barack Obama.
Tell you what Barack, if you don't engage in ageism.......
Pris
OH, Priscilla..GOOD one about ageism.
Here's an ad for McCain:
"I'm tired of being demeaned for my age and I'm ready to fight the ads which are doing that. I'm John McCain and I approve this ad...
Oh...there ARE no ads about my age? Well, Barack's talking about RACE and we don't have any ads on THAT, so........"
edge..by the way? GREAT point. Me, too. Funny, if mcCain had flip flopped like Obama's doing, Biden would have nailed him, but Biden said 2 weeks ago that Obama's changing his mind is just a matter of his LEARNING..it's good that he's LEARNING>>>ARGH!!
LEARNING? He's supposed to be LEARN-ED!!!
Race is a factor, for as long as Osama can capitalize on it. He first introduced the topic and has reiterated it to the media. We must assume, therefore, that Osama plans to use the same tactics as Jackson, Sharpton, and Farrakhan: Intimidation. You know, these tactics ought to be a violation of the Ricco Act.
New topic: Did you see where CNN is now claiming that the flooding is Bush's fault? Yep. Since FEMA didn't force homeowners to purchase flood insurance, it is the White House who caused so much suffering. MEANWHILE, Senator (climb in bed with Countrywide) Dodd wants to make it MANDATORY for all homeowners to have flood insurance.
Socialism, anyone? Get'em while they're hot.
Groan.
Mustang, it's real rich for Dodd to be even saying the word HOME OWNER, considering there's a letter going around in the senate to start an investigation into the loan he got from Countrywide for 75K less than he should have paid...while he's on the senate committee investigating Countrywide and subprime loans!! ooops! Too bad only the conservative media's telling that truth.
I'm waiting to hear about how those midwesterners have looted and killed and cheated the government, demanding to know why the buses weren't there. Oh, they've just rolled up their sleeves and pitched in and done what they can with what they have? Oh, gee, THAT'S FUNNY, huh?
Thanks for your remarks..it's horrifying to think how much Obama will do to persuade Americans HOW WONDERFUL he is. Don't you think for a second there isn't some Democrat sabre rattling behind blaming FEMA again, either. Bush didn't go into Louisiana because the LAW told him he couldn't without the governor asking...but the media doesn't let THAT out.
Let's see what happens now with the Midwest. great post, thanks...z
Obama and Michelle my belle are both very sophisticated race card throwers. She kicked it off when the primary season began with her Barack can be killed filling up at the gas station 'cuz he's a black man in America riff. On and on after that. She's being madeover to be all soft and cuddly, just one of the girls,(good luck with that) so now he's the one insisting the only reason white voters won't vote for him is race. Whomever is marketing him is certainly earning his/her fee. And, the sheeple lap it up.
In Texas we had the daughter of James Byrd do against Bush. She insisted that since Bush wouldn't sign a hate crimes bill into effect, he was a racist. Nevermind that the person who killed her father (dragged him behind a truck) was already on Death Row.
He vows he will work hard to fight the racist ads..oh . someone pinch me.
Obama has made his entire campaign about being a black man running for president..no issues, no stances on anything..just vote for me, I am black.
I deserve the job because I am. like God.
WVDOTTR
Obama has worked hard and long to manufacture just a bit of the victim image to add that little bit of pathetic poignancy to his image. It goes so well with the person of power for the left-leaning voters.
No Z, this is the same old crap. The McCain campaign will condemn any race based attacks. Nicely done. First Gramps makes it look like he's above the dirt while calling attention to race.
He's done this before. Buy a cheap ad in a small community and have some nobody start cracking wise so that you can make the message a national subliminal issue for the base while seeming to disavow it. It's already happened several times.
Just get up there and say he won't be a part to calling attention to the fact that Obama's middle name is Hussein. You get the picture. All real high class stuff.
Meanwhile he loves John Hagee who thinks that Hitler was the Jews friend. Right?
No, I've never seen an ad blasting Obama's race. The only one talking about race has been during the Clinton campaign and Obama himself. Democrats themselves bring it up. The GOP has not!
You are also right about Obama's middle name. It does happen to be his middle name! I can see why some people don't want it used though. If his middle name was "John" there would obviously be no problem. But of course "Barack John Obama" sounds rather ridiculous. :)
ducky, you're TOTALLY ignoring the point.
THERE HAVE BEEN NO RACIST ADS.
OBAMA SAW HE VOWS TO FIGHT THEM.
WHICH "THEM" OBAMA? Ducky..get that rose colored set of glasses with OBAMA written across the fronts off......it's silly.
I'm not sure I've ever seen McCain say he loves Hagee.....ya, I'm quite sure he hasn't.
We both know all kinds of nuts will support both candidates. Heck, MOVEON is pushing Obama around like they own him right now about the wiretapping idiocy....Say it ain't so, ducky!
Time to be just a LITTLE more even in your judgment......if you can't admit this Obama, even I'm surprised about you.
Gayle..Barack John Obama sounds dumber than Hussein. BOY, YOU sure said a mouthful.!!!
And Aurora..he's said any criticism of his wife is off limits! WHAT? It's never been off limits for others...but, then, others haven't QUITE said the kinds of things she's said. No WONDER he'd like her off limits!
Funny that you don't see McCain attending Hagee's church, being married by him, being baptized by him, sitting his kids under Hagee's teaching, writing books about how Hagee inspired him, etc...
Come out of the dark ducky!!! Even ducks pull their head out of the water from time to time.
yes, and pulling their heads out of water is far easier than pulling a head of out of one's.....
sorry. You're right, Pops...McCain doesn't even GO to Hagee's church. There is no comparison. The Klan might come out for McCain, too......is he a Klansman?
oh, no..that was Dem Robt Byrd, I FORGOT :0)
