Partying vs Partisanship?

Here's a partial list of politicians who were invited to Mr Obama's Super Bowl party:

Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA)
Rep. Rick Boucher (D-VA)
Rep. Joseph Cao (R-LA)
Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN)
Rep. Brad Ellsworth (D-IN)
Rep. Baron Hill (D-IN)
Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA)
Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT)

Of course, Mr. Cao is the only Republican to vote for Obama's Health Scare Bill.
Oh, and Huffington Post (where you'll see a list of invitees, including two other Republicans among the eleven Democrats) lists Arlen Specter as (R-PA) R? Isn't he a D now? Please, God, tell us he's a D now!?

The Huffington Post article includes "White House spokesman Robert Gibbs portrayed the invitations as part of a continued effort by Obama to erase partisanship in Washington."

I'd be happier if Obama was including Republicans in decision making....... inviting them to parties at the White House doesn't make anything less partisan, but maybe that's just me.

It's the same old pay to play for the WH. Mr. Cao is being rewarded, and courted. So what else is new.

Z, yes, Specter is still a (D) right where he belongs.

A partisan party! How NOT bi-partisan!

Like Romney says, it's the new monarchy. I'm reading a bio of Lafayette right now and there's little difference between those parties and the ones at Versailles.

The American democracy needs a serious cleansing.

I was hoping that the roof of the white house would have caved in right in the middle of their little party.

Smacks of the "Beer Summit"... you know Obama opens his mouth and creates a problem, then pretends to solve the problem with a little beer party!!!

I would like to take the time to point out the fact that a major miracle has occurred... in fact 2 miracles for which I wish to thank God.

The Saints won their first Super Bowl and given the hardships they got through to do it... well deserved and... Today the US Government in the "District of Criminals" is SHUT DOWN!!! God is helping us make our point I would say!!!

Somebody paint an 'R' on Mr Cao's chest...

That R means RINO.

partisan is an understatement girl!!

Being party to a partisan party is anything but bi-partisan, looking more like partisanship than either bi- or non-partisan parties would look.

To a Democrat, bi-partisanship is simply a matter of "branding"... and all that takes is one self-labelled 'R' at the party. Think of it this way, if its' even 1% true, then you can claim it to be 100% true... and who can refute you? Mr. Cao is, after all, an 'R'....

The Democratic masters of political "officialism" have spoken.

I've "found" a worthy candidate --and - conservatives nation-wide should consider supporting him-a US Senator's vote affects everyone!

I would like to know where the MSM is on the fact that Obama is throwing parties while hundreds of thousands of people suffer in Haiti and rape gangs and thugs run rampant?

Clearly, Barack Obama doesn't care about black people.

Oh, wait. That only happens to you if you aren't a Democrat.
