"Arizona school children are told they can't pray in front of the Supreme Court building ... Two University of Texas Arlington employees are fired for praying over a co-worker's cubicle after work hours ... In Cranston, R.I., a high school banner causes controversy when a parent complains it contains a prayer and demands that it be removed."

STOPPING PRAYER IN AMERICA

So...get off your knees and realize that perhaps...you'll have to grip something more effective than your Bible?

Z,

This is a good prayer for all of us. So often, I fear we (me, especially) get caught up in temporal drama and forget to ask what God would have us learn from the experience as individuals.

I've often contemplated Jesus' instruction to the Laodicean Church (which strongly resembles much of modern, Western Protestantism). To be able to see like Jesus does has become a frequent request.

I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Reveleation 3:18

Hi, Z! Sorry I have been so busy with school I am blessed I can blog every few days and now am forced to hop around to make blog rounds, which I never get to everyone.

I wish you a blessed Sunday and you have my e-mail if you need to write or a listening ear if you would like to call.

I knows these are hard days for you and you are in my prayers. I did not forget you.

Hugs,
Layla xoxo
