300 Bibles confiscated in China

This article discusses how Bibles were taken from Christians hoping to help Christian Chinese.......

Do you suppose Ko rans would be intercepted and done away with, too? I wonder.

Not surprising at all, z. But that picture is certainly a shocker! How is it in a country that is rabidly anti-religion, the spiritual symbol of the crescent is silhouetted against the sky like this? The power of Islam never ceases to amaze me. It's an inexplicable occultic power. Driven perhaps by the blood of their martyrs. I believe everything has a spiritual parallel in this world.

Yes, Korans would be confiscated too. The commies fear religion as much as they fear opposing armies. I hate to admit it, but I hope the Chicoms STEP on Islam and step on them HARD! We teamed up with the Ruskies to defeat Hitler, and now we need to team up with the Chicoms to smack Allah's gangsters real hard!

My hat's off to the brave Christians of China.

I doubt the Koran would be confiscated in China, Z. That picture is what makes me doubt it.

My thought is that the Chinese being who they are would confiscate the Koran.

Z, would you e-mail me, please. I'd like to send you a link to an article I received in an e-mail.

several in my wife's family have smuggled Bibles into China for years. They've only been caught once. One of the border guards took a copy for himself, they returned the rest after making them leave.

Elbro, the guard "took a copy for himself" is exactly WHY they're taking the Word to China. That's a beautiful confirmation that they're doing the right thing.

That story about the cross in the dust in Viet Nam that McCain told was so touching, too.

I think the fact that there is a mosque in China (it IS near the muslim region of China, but....is there a Christian region of China? Not) leads me to believe ko rans are not confiscated.

This is like a world attack on Christianity lately.

Morgan, I always admire your beautiful support and appreciate it.

Oh come on! The Chinese, as they already said, were simply holding them for safekeeping, to ensure their structural integrity!

You Righty Guys! Can't you just let the Chinese alone for even a minute??

Well Islam has been in China for 1200 years so you can expect a mosque or two.

Chinese Muslims also have female mullahs.

Now just what the history of Islam in China has to do with the Chinese Olympic crackdown is unclear but leave it to the right wingers to find a way to make anything a comment on Islam.

This grave discrepancy by the Chinese government only illustrates the difference between Christianity and Islam. Christianity is persecuted and we 'turn the other cheek' Islam will not tolerate such a thing and therefore is often left unchecked as fear is shown by those who would persecute other groups.

Ducky, is it just historical context or confusion which is compelling muslims to kill Christians in their countries and denying Christians in those countries something as nonthreatening as a Bible?

But, maybe they're smarter than we think; they know the Bible is the least nonthreatening but most powerful thing on the planet.

I'll wait for a comment from you against the 2 abortion-doctor- killing-Christians and how they represent all Christians. It's so odd how 2 muslims who blow up a Christian church full of Christians never get that same general condemnation, isn't it?

Z said...

Oh, so mosques are okay but ko rans aren't?

I don't get it. There are state-sanctioned churches. Well, maybe this is a state-sanctioned mosque.

I still pray for the Christian missionaries, 5 of whom I know personally or have heard of, who're putting their lives on the line for their faith.

z, this was part of the Olympic crackdown and has nothing to do with Muslim vs. Christian in China.

Anyone who thought they were just going to bring in a few hundred anything to pass out during these Olympics wasn't thinking straight.

Z said...

Ducky, you're partly right..And, as corrupt as these Olymipcs have been, it doesn't mean others should overstep that country's bounds/rules in the name of the Olympics, but I don't think the O's had anything to do with this bunch of Bibles being brought in, do you, really?
Apparently, there are millions of Chinese wanting Bibles and they deserve to have them, is my opinion...

Me, I'll just go to my favorite Chinese all you can eat buffet and go nuts on General Tso's Chicken, a delightful dish named for the general that in the late 1870s crushed the Muslim rebellions in western China, often doling out the Emperor's "Ling Chi" (death of a thousand cuts) punishment to captured terrorists.

Those were more enlightened times.

Brooke,

I think once the Olympics are done the terrorist Muslim sect that attacked China will find itself in a collection of ziplock evidence bags in VERY short order.

Nah. Look for them on the Body Worlds 4 tour.
