Bin Laden's driver gets "stunningly lenient sentence" You won't believe this.

We are so doomed.
Was someone paid off? What a stunning message this sends.....he was found guilty on enough counts to possibly warrant 30 years to life. He will be out in 5 months.
Chew on that, folks. Does this jury decision say this? : "We're America, we're so sorry to have hurt this guy's feelings; we're so sorry that he had to suffer at Gitmo, we're just so sorry that this happened at all. We're over zealous, we know we have nothing to fear and sending strong messages to those who want us dead isn't nice." of course it does

5 months is fine with me as long as afterward they release him here in Missouri. Maybe within sniper range of Fort Leonard Wood.

Why am I not surprised?

He wasn't found guilty of being an Al Qaeda member. Maybe he was simply a registered Democrat.

Now if we take out Osama Bin Laden in his car with a Hellfire missile and the blast kills his driver too, can the driver's family sue for wrongful death?

I love funny responses......even on a dead serious subject like this.

I hear this dope's going back into custody as an enemy combatant AFTER he's served his paltry five months. Have you heard that, and how does that WORK, if it's true?
Priscilla heard that....can anybody help us out on the technicalities of this?

xx

Wow. THAT is wierd, I just read that story and came here!

I am not at all surprised. We're going to hell in a handbasket if we keep this up.

My solution? Get all of the detainees from GTMO onto one cargo plane; get the press interest flaming, showing us releasing all of the prisoners. Then, once the plane is over the atlantic in the middle of November, the crew bails, a ship picks them up, and the plane detonates into a million fragments, leaving no hope for survivors.

I can see the headline now:

"MILITARY CARGO JET CRASHES; ALL FEARED DEAD"

We'll see what happens. At least the trials are starting. Some verdicts we'll love, some we'll hate. That's usually how it works out. I do wish he had gotten a longer sentence.

So I guess it's OK to "feed my family" by aiding and abetting a mass-murderer/terrorist.

Well, at least now we all know what can be gotten away with.

Yeah, much better to shoot them on the battlefield than give them an all expenses paid 5 year vacation at Gitmo.

It may be that the jury was not privy to all the evidence, some of which may have been excluded because aggressive interrogation methods were used.

This does show that these trials are fair to a fault. But somehow, I doubt the loons on the left will recognize that fact.

good comments all..thanks so much.

He really should have rec'd many more years.......we are just appearing like TOTAL wusses ripe for the picking in my opinion.

I don't want ANY innocent person incarcerated, but this man was apparently up to his neck in guilt and now THIS? What a message it sends.

And yet the liberals are still unhappy. Like i always said, the only fair trial that liberals will be happy with for these suspects are ones where the terrorists are always found not guilty.

He's going to need a job when he gets out of prison... perhaps the democrat party can help out.

I also found out that he had a surface to air missile and launcher in his car when they found him. He's not really a terrorist though!
