WHY NOT Hillary, Obama? Let's get right down to it...why not her?

So, Barack Hussein Obama says he loves his country. He'd do anything for it, right?

He believes in his brand of politics.

He believes his platform is going to save America. (sorry, the WORLD)

Hillary Rodham Clinton differed very slightly with Obama and his platform. She still has supporters 20% of whom are saying they won't vote for Obama because she's not on the ticket.
Hillary got millions of votes. Obama had millions of votes. Together, they would certainly win the presidency of the United States. Or at least have a far easier time than Barack and Joe will.

WHY DIDN'T HE PICK HER?

If you believe FIRST in your country and YOUR PLATFORM, YOUR DREAM FOR AMERICA....why wouldn't you pick someone you know you could get elected with? With almost total certainty, considering the numbers. THIS is the person with whom you'd succeed for your country!

Is he too timid to serve with a smart woman?

Does he fear Bill Clinton and has too little confidence to feel he can overcome that?

Are his puppet masters (Soros, etc.?) who pull his strings foes of the Clintons so Obama got the memo? "THIS is who you will choose...let Caroline help you, she has experience at this." (what?)

WHY DID OBAMA NOT PICK HILLARY? Doesn't this show he's scarier than we even think?

NO ONE who truly loves America would choose HILLARY. She's the scariest thing there is next to a monitor lizard or a giant python.

Come what may, I am truly glad that she and her "consort" are all-but out of the picture–––IF they are.

The Clintons remind of that old Sci-fi horror flick THE THING THAT WOULD NOT DIE!

All kidding aside, why would Obama choose to put himself between the presidency and Hillary? It would be like signing his own death warrant.

Sorry, but I've never been able to bring myself to disbelieve The Clinton Deathlist.

Obama may not be The Man for Our Time, but he's no one's fool.

Hillary Clinton won 355 Electoral College votes' worth of states to Obama's pathethic 180.

Hillary Clinton got nearly 2 million more popular votes than Obama.

Barack Obama is the presumptive nominee via affirmative action only.

Why wouldn't Obama choose Hillary?

Hillary Clinton is easily the most hated woman in American politics as a whole.

And he couldn't beat her in a fair nomination fight.

The one thing Hillary Clinton on the ticket would do is make John McCain's impending landslide that much bigger than the one he'll enjoy against the Hope and Hairplugs ticket.

If he had been a republican, they'd have accused him of sexism. Shall we do the same? After all when you cut through the spin and all that, the Democrats, the party of women's rights, ultimately chose a man over a woman.

I would say Obama is about as scary as they get. That said, I have to agree with Free Thinker that Hillary is and would have been almost as bad. I remember before Obama was the threat on the horizon a lot of the stuff that came out about her, none of it good. The worst of it as far as I was concerned was her attachment to the teachings of one Saul Alinsky (who Obama incidentally also adheres to). With the two of them in together, the one bright light on the horizon is that they might just fight themselves out of action. Well, one can hope.

I have said this before and I still believe it. Hillary's path to power is littered with bodies of people (Foster, MacDougal, etc.) who have gotten in her way politically. With the only thing between her and the Oval Office being him, his life would be in serious jeopardy.

I know that Snopes has supposedly discredited this but they have been wrong before and I seriously believe that they are wrong this time.

I don't care for Hillary at all, but the reason he did not choose her is that he realizes she would be the Alpha Male of the two!!!

LOL, Jungle Mom is right! :)

Also, Michelle hates Hillary. Can you imagine what he would have had to go through if he had picked her? Can you imagine this coward running our country? He can't even stand up to his own wife!

I'm very happy he didn't pick her though. It would most certainly have united the Democrats. This is a wonderful gift!

Z,
You're assuming Hilliary would accept the VP job, I'm not so sure she would. Hilly could barely contain herself during her husband's Presidency. One could almost hear her thinking...so close...so veeery close!

I do think a Obama/Clinton ticket would be a dream come true for the far left, but the Biden pick helps shore up Obama's clear weakness on foreign policy and experience in general.

It's an appeal to the middle.

Ducky's here said...

Come on Z, Billary play second fiddle?

Not going to happen. One reason there is so much backlash against Hillary is that we want to get rid of Bill and his Democratic Leadership Council conservatism.

Of course, while getting suckered by the "change" message we get more of the same anyway.

Bloviating Zeppelin said...

I believe it's because he took her campaigning personally. She took shots at him and he won't forget it. I should imagine that, in a private past conversation, she said something similar to "and you can shove your VP slot, too."

Well put Jungle Mom. I said in an earlier blog that she was the most manly Dem running this year.

I also agree that if they were GOPers it would be sexism. I think McCain needs to name a woman. One it would be a political homerun but also it is about time we had a woman in the White House (a conservative that is). A qualified woman that is, no affirmative action here. Plus wouldn't it be nice if the GOP were the first to do it?

I'd still like to see Hillary drop a bomb on the DNC, just for fun.

However, I think you're correct in, for whatever inexplicable reason, Soros gave Obama his marching orders.

Brooke said...

McCain should pick someone like Sarah Palin.

Anonymous said...

If Obama loves America, what does he have to say about America that's positive? I have yet to hear it.

Why would anyone want to "change" everything about America, if he/she loved it.

If it is your goal to redistribute wealth, you can't be for the individual pursuit for happiness, and capiltalism.

If you want a national civilian security force as powerful as our military, you can't be for individual liberty.

If you have demonstrated in your former actions, that you're Afro-centric, and not America-centric, can your first priority concerning foreign policy be America's national security?

Obama and Hillary are internationalists as is Joe Biden, by the way. Perhaps what they really love about America, is that this is a place where they can gain power by using the freedoms that now exist.

What they want is power for themselves, and they certainly do love themselves. But, love America for America's sake? I don't think so.

Pris
PS. I don't think Hillary wants to be tied to the Obama star. She wants her own star. If McCain wins she can go for it again in four years.

Honestly I think Michelle nixed that one. She obviously wears the pants in that family and there is no room for 2 strong women for the Senator to deal with. This will cost him the election imo. Perhaps its arrogance perhaps its insecurity...poor decision making it is for sure. I think the threesome idea may have been a factor too. But the troops would have been rallied. its a missed opportunity. Yep he messed up. :)N

Sorry to be blunt and obvious, but . . .

Barak Hussein Obama needed an old white male to make the ticket seem respectable. With Hillary the candidacy would resemble an affirmative action fight rather than presidential material. Biden looks better in photos.

The question is, will McCain pick someone who is not an old white male to spice up his fogey image?

I haven't a clue as to whom McCain might choose as VP. If he --- and the Republican operatives --- were SMART STRATEGISTS, which very sadly they are not --- he'd choose STAR PARKER.

Who is Star Parker? She's a truly marvelous, articulate, attractive black woman of middle years who pulled herself up by the bootstraps and overcame a brutal ghetto background with drug addiction, sexual indiscretion, numerous abortions, and all the rest of it after she found Christ and the principles of conservatism implied in Christian Doctrine.

Her story is truly inspiring. I consider her a great lady in the best sense of that old term. That she was able to reinvent herself completely simply by "seeing the light" is astounding.

Maybe Star Parker is only one-in-a-million, but Oprah Winfrey–––whom conservatives somehow feel obliged to despise–––did almost the exact same thing, and is now one of the richest people in the entire world–––truly a GREAT American Success Story.

If these two supremely "disadvantaged" black women can do it, why can't others?

STAR PARKER should be considered The Great Black Hope of the Republican Party. If you don't know her, get busy and GOOGLE her name.

FT: Star Parker is marvelous with no experience.

if SHE could be picked with her lack of experience, I'd be rooting for MICHAEL STEELE, whom I ADORE. I can't get enough of watching that guy slam Alan Colmes. It's worth the show just to watch that when Steele is on!! LOVE that guy.

SO: with all these great comments (and I, too, believe a woman would be McCain's DREAM TEAM TICKET, Palin is terrific, apparently, but I doubt she WOULD run with all those kids and a newborn!), let me just say this again:

HE WOULD WIN with Hill. I think we're all agreed on that. HE KNOWS and the DNC KNOWS HE WOULD WIN WITH HILLARY.

I do believe she would have run, ego or no ego (and let's face it, her ego's as big as her.... yup..well, okay, maybe not QUITE!)...and, since he did NOT pick her...this is ALL ABOUT HIM, FOLKS.

ABOUT OBAMA, not his DREAM of HOPE AND CHANGE for this country. NO WAY. If you're an altruist, you pick someone you know will get you the prize with which you can LEAD THE WORLD TO SPLENDOR AGAIN (gag)

Pris is right; He's NOT putting his 'great love of America which he can't wait to change' first. And, by the way, the ONLY TIME I personally have heard or read him say anything resembling loving this country is when the end of that sentence included "...so we have to change her". go figure.

The man hates America... I've also been thinking maybe Hillary doesn't share his ONE WORLD ORDER GEORGE SOROS edict and that's why she's not there....she's in the way.??

The good thing about BIDEN is that the Obama people can't jab at McCain's age much anymore, right!?
There is some solidity and maturity exhibited by those who only SEE Biden and don't know him, but I'd say it might backfire because it's so obvious he picked somebody HE THINKS can fill in for his weaknesses plus makes him look even more immature and young, like a tall skinny kid...

Michelle Obama hates Hillary? I wonder...anybody read anything that pointed to that, or just a hunch? COULD BE!!
heck, I DO.........well, you shouldn't HATe, but.........!!!

I'm inclined to agree with Shoprat. No doubt MetLife contacted Obama and told him that if he selects Hillary, they're cancelling his life insurance policy.

Let's face it, if she were in the line of siccession his life would be in CONSTANT danger. Yes, even with Secret Service around. Michelle wants her "baby daddy" around for awhile, and after the Clintons and the Kerrys it's sort of nice to know that not all dem marriages are shams!

Morgan, I just saw Neil Cavuto warn an ex Hillary supporter-now-McCain voter ("I will not be swayed, I'm decided") that she had better have come to the DNC with a food taster. !! LOL!

Ya, you can excuse a death here and there..every admin has one, I'm sure. But about 120? With the same car spotted at many of them? Remember PRIMARY COLORS, the Kathy Bates character is offed on the side of the road after Hillary yells at her that she doesn't care how this young woman had thought they'd be 'different' and not 'business as usual',she was to tell a governor or sen. from the South that they'd blackmail him if he didn't support them? The book's TRUE and nobody made ANY mention of that pesky little situation afterwards, imagine?

That happened....they never found what killed the idealistic young woman who confronted Hillary!

Vince Foster, MacDougal...and, what...96 more or so? WHAT a coincidence, huh?

ducky, do you believe there's anything truly great in America?

I know you're not a big Obama fan, but have you heard him say anything great about America? I'm curious.

To tell you the truth I think there are a couple of reasons for Hillary being passed over and never considered. I think the first reason is that it's not her style to play second fiddle. Even in her campaign you saw from the start that even Bill was never front and center. My own belief is that Bill and Hill have not been a caring couple in a marriage for years. They are more of political partners. But that's beside the point. The second reason is that she was negative enough during the primaries that had she been the VP pick there would have been endless sound bites of her negativity that would carry greater weight as the VP than they will as someone not on the ticket. The start of the convention holds the key to my third reason. The convention will be kicked off tonight with the very farthest left branch of the democrat's rotten tree. The speakers tonight are Nanci Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, and Michelle Obama. In truth, the democrats seek to move the farthest left that they have ever dared to move this year. Bill and Hill were more centrist than far left even if it was because of being good politicians and not following their hearts.

I think McCain has a great opportunity here. He could make a huge jump with the selection of the right running mate.

I'm terrified, however, that he is also going to make the mistake of picking someone who alienates rather than inspires.

We could know before Friday. Please, please, PLEASE use your freaking head McCain and make the right choice.

Because he's too dang scared she'd pop him off.... who would want to live looking over their shoulder. Just my take on it.

If McCain is ACTUALLY brazen enough in his disregard of conservatives to consider Lieberman, he ought to just go ahead and pick Hillary.

IMAGINE the chaos; the Hillary supporters voting McCain/Hillary... Mwaahaaahaaaaaa!!! Obama would wind up with about 25% of the vote.

She also has a uterus, which will appeal to all those dissed Hillary voters. ;)
