Sunday Faith Blog............

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret-it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.....
...the salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble."

from Psalm 37

I think it's a very good idea to go off by yourself once in a while and reflect on reminders like this....enjoy your Sunday!

That's a lovely photo. I remember once stopping to look at a rainbow. The lady parked nearby was staring at me like I must be stupid for stopping like that. I said "lovely day isn't it?" she just gave me an odd look and got in her car and drove off... without ever looking up. Some people never learn to stop and look at the beautiful world around them. Pity.

Also see Psalm 69 -- most appropriate for our nation's troubled times today.

Beautiful. What a perfect picture to remind us of God's promises.

Psalm 5:11-12 to add to the promise and hope God gives us.

That picture is so beautiful. I rarely see a rainbow. (could do without the OT gloom and doom, though)

lovelyprism, good to have you here...I hope that lady learned a lesson that day! Nice one.

Elbro... I'm glad the verse was for you. Seems like it happens that way, doesn't it.see you soon!

Morgan...very appropriate, isn't it...too appropriate, sadly.

Always....sometimes it feels all we have today is our "sure salvation", but that isn't too BAD, is it!!! (Smile)

Angel...You're the dear one.

I.H.S...Amen and Amen, my dear friend.

Leslie..welcome! You're right...we sure do need protection with how our country is being run these last weeks, don't we.

Sue, I'm an O.T. lover....the N.T. seems like its flesh can't stand without those "old O.T. bones"...I love the Psalms...convicting and hopeful. I loved the picture because I've been feeling like I have to be still and be alone. I've even asked some emailers to take me off their distribution lists (people I'd 'met' through other emailing friends..)..it's getting too much. It's very hard for those of us who don't agree with what's happening to America and we need the Psalms...BADLY.

I'm so glad you liked the picture, it really spoke to me.

Because it is Presidents' Day, tomorrow I am going to unveil my new plan that will put to an end once and for all the divisiveness in this country.

It is making its debut on Z's blog because if I put it on mine no one would see it.

z - I hope you don't mind that I'm using your blog to present my plan.

The truth is, it will most likely get a lot of laughs, but I figure - what do I have to lose.

It's not that long, just the basics. Thanks.

Sue; fire away.

You can take your lumps if people disagree....who knows....maybe everyone will agree! Anyway, it doesn't matter if they do or don't; we're all entitled to our opinions and it'll be interesting to hear what you have to write.
I hope it engenders more people to write their opinion and leave it here..takes guts to expose our thoughts.
