WHAT WAS YOUR FOOTBALL WATCHING FOOD TODAY!? .....that's what's REALLY IMPORTANT...RIGHT?
A Philly Cheese Steak? TexMex Fajitas? What'd you eat?
(it IS 'all about FOOD', isn't it?)
Just for Elmer's Brother (a HUGE Steeler's fan), I actually kept track of the score!

Pizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzza!!..mmmmmmmm!!
Chili-cheese fondue w/french bread for dipping...
FJ! Fondue! I hadn't thought of that in years! We used to have them & I loved it!
Z, the SUPER Bowl has certainly lived up to its name so far! I am pulling for the Cards, but will be happy either way. Gotta get them Bengals going for next year!
I wanted the Steelers for Elbro....I am SO SO SO SO SO SO Bummed.
BUT, I DID like that guy who got the Cardinal's TD putting his finger up in the sky to God....I always like that!
PIZZA......mmmmm, is right!
FJ..that sounds DEEELICIOUS!!
David.....I still wanted the Steelers......so badly. For Elbro.
YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
ELBRO....THEY DID ITTTTTTTTTTT!!!
Well..what a difference sixty seconds makes, HUH!? MAN, I was screaming so loudly Mr. Z was certain the neighbors would think he was BEATING Me...nope!
It was the Steelers beating AZ, but, you know...I'd not have cared SO MUCH if it wasn't that Elbro is SUCH A FAN!
Then, I immediately went into my typical "But AZ wanted to win too, poor guys" I just CAN'T WIN!!!
Steamers with drawn butter. Oh, for those of you wondering what the heck are steamers? They are steamed clams.
They go REAL good with beer!
Steamers...mmmm!
I've got to admit; after an amazing game like that (and I'm not even a big football fan), talking about food seems pretty poultry...I mean PALTRY!!
heh
I had to take a double dose of my blood pressure medication.
Whew!!!
I'm so proud that the Steelers won. We're fourth generation fans.
We had boneless beef ribs, chicken wings, chips and salsa and someone brought mini quiches.
They're not invited next year.
Oh and thanks for rooting for the Steelers.
we had Corona and Dos Equis too.
Sounds delicious!
mini quiches? REAL football food (LOL!)........... But good, anyway!!
Ya, it was exciting to hear the excitement at your house tonight, Elbro!!
But, seriously...how exciting can a game GET?
wings, pasta salad, baked beans, ribs, deviled eggs, lemonade and sweet tea.
Steelers Fan.
Blessings.
Oh,....was the Super Bowl on today?
I.H.S.!! mmmmmm! congrats on the win!!
Sparky...you're so athletic, no football, huh!?
We pulled out the imported Doritos we have been saving since our trip to Argentina. We also managed to get one bag of BBQ chips. We ate imported Pop Tarts and drank pepsi which is only found on the balck market here, thus it is more fun to drink than Coke.
However, being in Paraguay, our electricity went out in the third quarter and we only got it back this morning. We were pretty sure the Steelers would win, but had to wait til now to find out.
It was a frozen pizza that didn't even taste that good. Didn't eat but two small slices. Drink was seltzer water. A few nibbles of cheese & crackers and that was it for me.
But what a great game....it was pleasant to see ARI-STINKIN' ZONA lose this one!
JM: I wonder if people are sending you guys some stuff, let us know somehow.
Papa's Chicken Wings, barbecue pork, beef brisket, fries, beans, pickles, chili, rotel dip, homemade chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter bars, banana bread, and Welch's grape soda.
And just to set the record straight --- THE CARDINALS BEAT THE STEELERS THEY JUST DIDN'T BEAT THE REFS!!!
Papa! YOU WIN THE FOOD OF THE DAY AWARD!
And that's SO not true.....the Steelers played GREAT...!!!
Unfortunately some of the Steelers players were in black and yellow and SOME of the Steelers players were in black and WHITE.
Papa, come on now, it was equally officiated. But I agree with Z, you do get the Super Bowl Food of the Day Award.
We'll have an official presentation as soon as Z comes up with a certificate.:)
Blessings.
I just can't understand why they didn't have a review of the Cardinals last play. It was OBVIOUSLY a forward incomplete pass and not a fumble. 9 out of 10 games it would have been called that way. The ball landed 10 feet IN FRONT of the quarterback.
That being said, Big Ben did a spectacular job at scurrying around like a squirrel in the road and STILL completing passes against all odds. The touchdown pass that Santonio Holmes caught was one of the prettiest I've ever seen. Congrats to the Steeler/Ref team!!! ;0)
Papa Frank, You have to remember in order for it to be an incomplete pass the QB has to have control of the ball and if you look close Kurt didn't, that's why it was called a fumble.
And, I agree that catch is stuff highlite films are made of ALL DAY LONG. GO STEELERS!!!!!
Blessings.
MAN, Morgan must have had scrambled eggs or something ........ :-(
