"....be happy in its joy........"

"Thy Word is full of promises, flowers of sweet fragrance, fruit of refreshing flavour when culled by faith. May I be made rich in its riches, be strong in its power, be happy in its joy, abide in its sweetness, feast on its preciousness, draw vigour from its manna. Lord, increase my faith."

from The Valley of Vision, A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions (which I highly recommend purchasing) Photo taken by my neighbor of wisteria on her patio (thanks, neighbor!)

Also, speaking of Sundays: Can someone tell me which church in Washington, DC the Obamas have started attending? The media covers that "First Church Sunday" when a new First Family's in town and I never heard which one....have you seen that? I'd really like to know. Thanks.

Have a wonderful Sunday.......

and, if you haven't already done so, please check out the video below! Link it to email friends. TEACH them!

Z- Excellent question. Have the Obamas selected a new place of worship, other than going to the gym. Rev. Wright will be a hard act to follow...

That's a wonderful thought.

I haven't heard either, but there's got to be at least one black liberation theology church nearby... it is Washington DC.

Bonjour Madame Z, good morning folks. I've wondered myself why it is the MSM never mentions the Obamas never attend church. After all, didn't he spend twenty years in the pews of "Rev.'' Jerimah Wrights church, absorbing all that Christian love and tolernace he exudes? Silly question. Barrack Hussien Obama is a man of no integrity, morals or decencey. It should come as no surprise he doesn't attend church. As pour moi, I've got to hurry. I have to make 12:00 Mass. Johnymac.

The church of good intentions and southward road paving? It's just a guess.

Z,
Wisteria? So beautiful.

My running-wild wisteria vine kept the tree that fell on my house last year from crushing the roof. But those tentacles in the yard? Well, they're a problem.

Well, I don't know those folks' hearts and can't judge...I just wondered where. It's always a big deal in the media,...that first-hand holding, Bible-holding event up the church steps and then, shaking hands with the Pastor upon leaving, you know?
Let me know if I missed it.

I hope some of you are moved enough to order the Puritan Book of Prayer I quoted here..just AMAZING stuff in that book..I love it.

They -being Ayers followers- thus Alinsky followers - I can only guess it would be the 'First Church of Lucifer'.

Wisteria, beautiful Z. The fragrance is glorious.

There is one problem though, bees love it too.

I'm sure if the Obamas attend church, the media would be covering it. Or, maybe "the One" feels he IS the church.

Wisteria, yes.
There's a place somewhere in LA, or just outside, which is one big bower of Wisteria for a city block, I think...it's supposed to be amazing during the season. Imagine walking through hanging wisteria??
WHITE Wisteria is very beautiful, too, but these purples blow my mind...and they do smell nice.

Well, it's just a curiosity because I'd like to think Mr. Obama IS attending Christian services in DC...
I thought I might have just missed the news on that.
It's not too surprising the media's suddenly forgotten their 'new president and where he worships' typical coverage... I just pray he IS getting some Christian mentoring..I really do.

It could help us all.

It's a nice Sunday up here in the mountains too. The only bad thing about Sunday is that the day after is Monday.

Just a question......

Do any of you feel that you're love more by God than the Obama's?

You don't need to go to any church to have a relationship with God. I'm sure God wouldn't step foot in most of the churches out there.

Thanks for coming by, 'anonymous'.

You realize my point is THE MEDIA, I hope? This says nothing about the Obamas and the relationship I pray they have with our Lord.
I can certainly pray that they're getting less anti-American mentoring from their new Pastor. I think that would be a wonderful thing.

Media: Had a Republican dared not attend church, this would be everywhere. Every president's family is quickly shown attending church; it's what the media does. First church service, first party, first formal dinner, first..whatever.

But, the media's not really even discussing the irony of a president hosting rock star cocktail parties every Wednesday night at a time Americans are hurting...so...maybe they're just too busy!?

Also, somehow, the presidents in the past have sucked it up and suffered with one of those churches you actually believe God wouldn't set foot in. My goodness.

Could it be: Bedside Baptist, Pillow Presbyterian, Mattress Methodist, Lounging Luthern or some other organized home institution.

Just guessing. And, pretty flowers,Z.

Blessings.

IHS....glad you like the flowers, too.

As for the denominations...ain't it the truth?!!

It seems obvious the Obamas now worship in front of The Looking Glass --- aka The Cathedral of Narcisssm.

Their scared songs are I Believe in You (first introduced by Bobby Morse in the original Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), I Feel Pretty from West Side Story, and I Am the Beautiful Reflection of My Great Perfection from the Ziegfeld Follies.

And Oh what a folly The FRACTURED STATES of AMERICA have become in recent months!

Puh-THET-ick!
