The State Department has a new legal adviser.....God help us all

Mr. Obama has selected someone to be the State Department's legal adviser....you need to know about him so you can understand America as we know her is JUST about over and how it will happen. Thanks to I HATE THE MEDIA blog for the 'head's up'.....

Please read this article from the New York Post....here's a taste of it:

"JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms." Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an "axis of disobedience" along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.

Those are the views of the man on track to become one of the US government's top lawyers: Harold Koh.

President Obama has nominated Koh -- until last week the dean of Yale Law School -- to be the State Department's legal adviser. In that job, Koh would forge a wide range of international agreements on issues from trade to arms control, and help represent our country in such places as the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.

It's a job where you want a strong defender of America's sovereignty. But that's not Koh. He's a fan of "transnational legal process," arguing that the distinctions between US and international law should vanish.

Z: So, what do you think? Has any president who speaks so directly against our sovereignty AND for Sharia Law ever been in this position before? What is Obama THINKING? Who is he working for, folks? I'd illustrate this post with the guy's picture but I don't want it here. Ever. Let him come arrest me.

Garsh, Mickey

. . . do you mean to suggest that President Obama would nominate someone to high office who is an advocate trans-nationalism, who believes that no nation should enjoy representative government, and that nationalism is an impediment to global socialism?

Wow.

So then, on Harold Koh’s planet, he actually expects Islamacists to disavow Shar’ia Law and agree to abide by some globalist’s legal concept, which could (but this is never assured) refute the right of barbarian husband to murder their children and stone their wives?

Wow.

Or conversely, in order to assuage the sensibilities of Islamacists, Mr. Koh may actually favor a trans-nationalist view that could permit American men to beat their wives and engage in polygamy?

Wow.

Thus, if I understand Mr. Koh’s principles, he thinks that depending upon each individual’s own belief system, it could be possible that American females who practice the Islamic faith might be subjected to one set of demeaning globalist standards, which could include exempting them from the protections of our Constitution and the standard of English common law?

John Marshal must be puking in his grave.

Even Obama said something a couple of months ago, before the election, about how he hoped for 'nicer' judges who put people first...it's like we're living in an alternate reality. As IF the constitution didn't put people first? As if we're supposed to be judged by how THE ONE sees the world? GOD help us all.

I thought you'd love hearing about this appointment, Mustang...should just make any good American's day to think we've got a president who picks people who think Sharia Law's a fit for us in this country....and who puts America on a par with N. Korea.

Though, you know, I was thinking about N. Korea the other day and how, all my life, I've wondered "why don't the people just RISE UP against these dopes who are ruining their lives?"

Suddenly, about a month ago, I thought "My GOD, we can't even stop this megalomaniac in THIS country....what was I THINKING?"

You know Z, if Obama hadn't been elected, one would think a coup had taken place.

I don't recognize anything American about this adminstration yet! Of course Obama didn't really live the American experience, he spent his formative years in Indonesia if I'm not mistaken.

He came here to become rich and famous. The land of milk and honey. He knew all things were possible here, and he made it.

Now, he is on a course that will see to it that no other young man from far away, will even entertain such a dream, for the land of milk and honey will only exist in history books.

However, this latest betrayal of American values only makes me more determined to resist. We all have to get angry, not depressed, there's no time for that.

The left is allied with the Islamists, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", that's what's going on. They want to follow international laws. This is how much the American left hates America, and Obama proves it every day.

P, this hit me as SO RIGHT..."if Obama hadn't been elected, one would think a coup had taken place."

You knock me out...your whole comment is so true and so scary...except I have to admit to some depression over this and, as you know, I don't have a depressed disposition. (usually)

The citizens of North Korea do not rise up against their fascist government because that government has denied them access to weapons. We don’t have the problem here (as of 31 Mar 2009).

Z,
I have become convinced BO is on track to bring at European socialism if not all out Marxism. You surely can't convince people you're a moderate when all your appointment scream that the left wing is in power.

International courts are a travesty of justice. My greatest fear is to see members of the American military in the dock in a country like France, Spain or worse yet Iran or Syria.

One thing Bush did right was refuse to even talk about an ICC. We'll try our own. At least they'll get a fair trial. For now.

The media lied constantly about Obama and the people bought it and America may have bought the farm.

I am genuinely truthful Z, when I say that none of this surprises me at all. I, & I am sure all of us here knew this is exactly what this man would do once in power. That's why we tried so hard to keep him out. Nothing at all surprises me about Hussein.

Is there anyone in this administration that believes in the greatness of America? Is there anyone who has paid their taxes to support America? Is there anyone who believes that America is the best country on earth?

It's all part of a longstanding plot by International bankers, financiers, industrialists, and owners of vital raw materials to destroy our sovereignty and force us to submit to World Government.

Why? It isn't just "Marxism" it's the hubris (overweening pride and boundless ambition) of power-mad fiends who are loyal only to Money and Power. This is nothing new. It's been in the works ever since the creation of the Federal reserve and the institution of the Income Tax.

I'm so stunned by all your comments...WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!

You're ALL CORRECT..so, now what?

Shoprat's right..we just might have BOUGHT THE FARM. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves and this new administration which, as Papa Frank suggests, just plain can't love America if they're doing things like this and weakening us so badly (by the way, the Taliban is saying the homeland will be hit soon, imagine, after 8 years?)...

FT, you're so right...

And, really..when has ANY of you felt that obama and his cronies think AMERICA IS THE BEST COUNTRY ON THE EARTH?
They seem to HATE the America of our founding fathers. This is positively OBVIOUS.

Pretty much saw this coming. Koh has been out in front with the criticism of John Yoo and Tortureboy Gonzales.

Nice to have someone experienced in international law advising the State Dept. The torture administration is being dismantled, get use to it.

I'm not sure where the sharia implementation comes in. I don't think he's going to be advocating stoning but we may do it in the south just to steam off a few red states.

I will ask once more. Why did one of the most heavily armed states in the world, Iraq, allow Hussein to stay in power.

Ducky,

Because under national socialism, such as the government of Baathist Iraq, the government controls the food supply and the sarin gas.
