That's a WONDERFUL way to start a Sunday! Thanks Z, and may He smile upon your family and ALL of your preschool patriots. That's fantastic what you're doing with those munchkins.

How very beautiful Z. The eagle as is God's Word is mighty and powerful. Daily I confess my youth is renewed as the eagles. There was a wonderful teaching on that very subject by Joyce Meyers.

Have a wonderfully blessed Sunday, but we must remember God everyday and honor Him in all we do.

Hear my prayer, O Lord, my God. Oh, hide not Thy face from my petition. Bow Thine ear to me and hearken unto the voice of my mourning ...

Pained sore is my heart within and trembling hath fallen upon me, the fear of death overwhelms me. Hear my sighing.

Oh, had I but eagle's pinions,
had I wings like the silver dove! Far away would I wander, I would hide me in the wilderness.

On wings I would hasten to hide from the storm, the storm and fearful tempest.

~ Psalm 55 (part) as set to music by Antonin Dvorak in Biblische Lieder (Biblical Songs).

I wish it were possible to share this music with you. Serious music evokes and illuminates the meaning of text as no simple reading could ever hope to do.

It is just that simple, but who often do we fail to see it?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.Psa 111:10

Blessings.

Take my hand
You know I'll be there
If you can
I'll cross the sky for your love
For I have promised
Oh, to be with you tonight
And for the time that will come

Take my hand
You know I'll be there
If you can
I'll cross the sky for your love
And I understand
These winds and tides
This change of times
Won't drag you away
Hold on, and hold on tightly
Hold on, and don't let go
Of my love

The storms will pass (the storm will pass)
It won't be long now (it won't be long now)
His love will last
His love will last...forever

Take my hand
You know I'll be there
If you can
I'll cross the sky for your love
Give you what I hold dear

Hold on, hold on tightly
Hold on, hold on tightly
Rise up, rise up
With wings like eagles
You run, you run
You run and not grow weary

(take my hand, take my hand)
Hold on, and hold on tightly
Hold on, hold on tightly
To this love...last forever
To this love...last forever

Take my hand
Take my hand...

"Rise up, rise up/With wings like eagles/You'll run, you'll run/You'll run and not grow weary" -- Isaiah 40:31

Those poor families. The world has gone mad.

God bless and keep them, and the families here who suffered the same fate.

This thread started out with a beautiful picture of a soaring bird inspiring faith.

I don't think there was anything posted about Winnenden until after several of us posted --- or am I nuts?

Seems like two separate topics rolled into one to me.

Sorry If I missed the Winnenden part the first time around. I don't even know what happened there to tell the truth.
