A Message to Friends on Election Night

Dear Fellow Conservative Bloggers,

You did great jobs on your blogs trying to show Americans the truth.....you questioned, you informed, you advised....thank you. You did your best. You were FANTASTIC these last months.

Here's the question: It wasn't enough to show Americans that they were falling for lie after lie, cheap trick after cheap trick. There are Americans who saw how the obama machine went after Joe the Plumber for simply not swooning at the feet of THE ONE and still voted for him! So, how do we change this around?

What's the first step now? Do you realize McCain did VERY well considering he had roughly 1/10th the campaign funds? Do you realize how well he did considering the media was 95% in the bag for THE ONE? How about ACORN and driving homeless to vote? How about the many soldiers who never got ballots! McCain did very very well.............

Congratulations....considering what we were fighting, we did well. And we'll continue to do well. That is, if terrorists aren't already celebrating and planning how to deal with their new appeaser: a whole new page in American history. How thrilled Hamas must be, Farrakhan must be, Ayers must be...so many really admirable, upstanding people and groups are so excited!

So, we can STAND TALL. We did NOT vote for this man who these terrible people admire. We did good. And we'll do more. Tell me what you think we might do.......

I am so very proud to be among you.

Z

I, for one, will continue to do what I have been doing...praying for this country, and the safety of its citizens. I pray for our troops, and hope for their safety and security in the immediate worldwide wake of the election.

I pray, knowing that God is omnipotent, and will always be there to guide those who seek Him and His love.

Z, I have enjoyed reading your posts leading up towards the election. They were informative, thought-provoking, and entertaining.

Z, good post. I wrote roughly the same thing tonight. We have to see this as a beginning and keep up the good fight.

I couldn't agree more, I believe that Z and everybody else of her fellow bloggers did an outstanding job trying to get the truth out.

On the other hand, I have lost all confidence in the U.S. election system and the intelligence of the U.S. electorate (the left wing education system and the O.-Supporting media have had a large contribution in that).

Since destroying is always easier than building up, the U.S. is going to develop now into an under-water buoy (as opposed to beacon of light) in record speed.

The last time a celebration like the one O. has planned in Chicago has happened was on 1/31/1933. Bravo.

Dear Lord Messiah Obama,

Please forgive Z for her blasphemy against Your Oneness. She still has not recieved word that in the Spirit of bipartisanship, even John McCain voted for You.

In Your Name I pray (5 times a day). Amen.

Mr Z is a little (BIG TIME) upset, folks. not fun around here tonight.

beamish....well said.
I wonder how many months before the fairness doctrine is implemented and I really will have to apologize for criticizing THE ONE. Think what they did to Joe the Plumber, etc.
Maybe he's in REAL trouble NOW.

couldn't write much tonight.. too sickened by the choice the shallow American people made. Will write more..

I am going to get more involved in party politics to bring more people in the fold.

And continue blogging about all Obama's failures, if we don't get censored.

Great post Z. McCain did very well considering he was walking into a strong headwind the whole way (thanks to the media). I hope we, the people, can continue blogging and not have our free speech taken away in the name of "fairness". I hope that we, the people, can still question and criticize the choices made by the President (who works for the people).

Three items of silver lining for me: 1) The "buyer's remorse" might finally smack some sense into people; 2) No Hillary until at least 2016; 3) This should make charlatans like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton obsolete (can we finally move on as a society?).

Oh, and I just thought of #4) we will have ample things to blog about over the next four years (again, if we are not shut down).

What's the first step now?

Just a thought....

It seems we are losing in the "indoctrination front". Conservative ideology just isn't espoused in education, in Hollywood, in our pop culture.

We need conservatives in university, in journalism schools and media, in entertainment and Hollywood.

I feel like young people are caught up in the excitement of doing something "revolutionary". Prop 8 has been characterized by opponents to be the next "civil rights" issue. Fighting that is attractive to the idealistic youths who think they are "fighting the good fight".

We've let liberals run rough shod for too long, in painting the GOP as the party of racists, bigots, and the filthy rich. We have to change that image around.

As close as most states were it's very clear to me that had we had a conservative that would have actually took a stronger stand in the debates and called Obama on his BS, things would have been different.

"What we might do."

The country needs to be educated better in American history and institutions, in the foundations of conservatism, what socialism is and why it's a bad thing and so on and so forth. None of us got a good enough education in all that but the younger generations have been getting none, along with indoctrination in the other direction and they really don't have a clue. Whether bloggers can accomplish any of that I don't know.

As grim as the situation looks, let us not be driven to despair. In many ways, conservatism is stronger and more robust than it was decades ago. Unfortunately, too many people identify conservatism with the Republican party, which to a large extent in the last decade did not govern in a particularly conservative fashion. As the Republicans go into the wilderness, I hope they come to realize the importance and power of their conservative base. Also, conservatives need to once again learn how to appeal to, talk to, and reassure the average American, like Reagan was so successfully able to do. If we can do all this, and if Obama governs as we all expect he will, then the trip into the wilderness should last only two years rather than four.

Z!

I'm so thankful for folks like you as well. Our real true hope of course is in the genuine Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ! He is not surprised & is still in control. We hope in Him!
I appreciate your friendship in Christ. The light is often seen much more for the genuine light that it is against a black backdrop as we have in America right now! May the Lord bless you Z.

Our voices may be in the minority, but Obama hardly achieved a popular mandate. Even so, our conservative voices are not silent (yet); we will continue to observe and offer commentary on the politics of the day—for as long as we have the right of freedom of expression. Sam Huntington offered a good recap of the election, where we are now, and what we should expect in the future. Interestingly, Russia today issued its first salvo against the Obama administration. They didn’t threaten the United States, only made promises that we should expect they intend to fulfill.

I agree with your sentiments entirely, and those of Mr. Z (whose opinion I respect). Wordsmith is correct to suggest conservatives must undertake serious introspection; it must widen the base, and should start to do that even now.

It is a sad time for me personally because what I see in the election of Barack Obama is popular repudiation of such concepts as civic virtue, or country-first attitudes among the American people, favoring instead “me first.” Honestly, I have never understood how any thinking American can repeatedly elect individuals on the order of Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank—but I suppose it takes all kinds. This morning, I wonder what kind of people live in Minnesota who could ever seriously consider electing someone like Al Franken.

It is good we maintain our faith in God, and in one another. We’re going to need it.

I admire and appreciate ALL of your comments.

I must, however, nod to Wordsmith for the new direction.

Incognito and I spoke (and wept) on the phone last night. We agreed that SCHOOLS ARE THE KEY (cj touched on this, too)...we MUST help people to realize that the following equation, something the media and professors have created so well, must not remain:

Democrats=RIGHT
Republicans= EVIL

We must get back to Dems = one side, Republicans = another. Stop the demonization. I just heard that nut presidential historian Doris Kearns suggest obama is not the "type to demonize" She apparently missed what happened to Joe the Plumber.

We'll write more on this in the coming months....We must not go squishy left, we must stand strong. Reeducate, and somehow fix our media and our schools.

David....I love your comment about the light shining better against darkness. Let us pray. I have hope this morning.
God help me, I dont know why, but i do. go figure.
