Healthcare, Saccharin, and vodka.......and THE BEST VIDEO YOU HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME!

THIS INFORMATION IS AMAZING....the headline at Yahoo Homepage is "Democrats add last minute sweeteners to health care bill" Good thing leftwingers haven't banned SWEETENERS yet, huh?

How the HECK GOOD is a bill that's got Obama dissing foreign countries at the last minute to, what AP calls in the linked article above, do "last-minute lobbying at the White House on his signature issue, playing host to a procession of wavering Democrats"? What the heck does he have to do that he couldn't spare two days or so? What's he DOING? What appointments is he offering, what senate committee leadership is he dangling in front of whom, or is he threatening to take one away? If the bill is SO good for America, why does he HAVE to 'lobby' so hard?

The article goes on to say...
"Citing reports that Obama had told members of the Hispanic caucus that his presidency depends on the bill's passage, he (John Boehner) added, "I'm sorry, Mr. President, this isn't about you." "CITING REPORTS?" Since WHEN did something Obama said not get taped on someone's cell phone? REALLY, you think this just might have happened and "citing REPORTS" just hides it a BIT? And, really, is it more important to protect one's presidency or to do the right thing?

Here is an AMAZING "coincidence": "Rep. Bart Gordon of Tennessee, a moderate Democrat who is retiring at the end of the year, announced he would vote in favor of the bill after opposing an earlier version. He did so as Democratic leaders included in their revisions a provision worth an estimated $99 million over two years in higher Medicaid payments to Tennessee hospitals that treat large numbers of uninsured." Well, GOOD FOR TENNESSEE! CaCHING for TENNESSEE!!$$$ (by the way, Mr. Gordon is only 61, kind of young to retire, just sayin'...)

Oh, and get this: "Federally guaranteed student loans would now be made only by the government, ending a role for banks and other for-profit lenders who charge fees." Wait, I thought that Mr. Obama hates earmarks and had promised those days were over? And,what does this have to do with health care? Is this constitutional, by the way? How long before they tell us what we can study if we want a loan from the government?

Give me real SUGAR, not Saccharin....Give me a healthy bill that Americans can appreciate and politicians understand and vote for because it's good for us, not good for their careers....one which will really save money, one which doesn't need artificial sweeteners.

And, then...did you hear that Pelosi said “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy." WHAT? They're supposed to vote for the bill and THEN find out what's IN IT?

Skip the sugar...Give me VODKA.

And get some for Jack Cafferty....Looks like even CNN is turning on THEIR HERO, OBAMA? Check out the video....it'll lift your mood, I promise!

Now THIS is REALLY sweeeeet!!

There is NOTHING good about the Obamacare bill. Even it's INTENTIONS are pure EVIL.

We'll ALL become Vodkaholics if this MONSTROUS thing become "law."

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that these morons are pushing so hard to force us into something we don't want. Don't they work for us? Of the people by the people FOR the people? This administration is all about what IT wants and shoving it down our throats. And they'll never convince me this bill has anything to do with actual healthcare.

Well, Obama's doctor did tell him to cut back on his drinking! Maybe this is the problem.

It's tough to be a pretender, don't you think?

I mean when one has to lie I would think it's because the truth would be unacceptable and it's a strain to remember which lie to focus on at any given moment.nOr if today's lie is consistent with yesterday's lie.

Why, I would think that would drive anyone to drink. His head must be spinning every day.

Is it any wonder the teleprompter is so necessary?

Yes Mr. Cafferty, what a bunch of crap!

Cafferty's denunciation is a definite mood lifter. Best thing I've heard in a long time. Even the liberal media can be sane sometimes. Thanks.

I posted a picture from, The People's Cube, that calls it as it is...none of this is about America,Americans, or sanity. it's all about grabbing as much power as possible in as short a time as possible.

Totalitarianism is the name of this game.

If I remember my unrevised history, we had this problem over 200 yrs ago. Taxation without representation was the key...here we go again!

GREAT post, Z!!!!

Do I have your permission to link it to my Facebook page?

I LOVED listening to Jack call them out!!! Wonderful!

Cafferty ripped Obama.

One of the best quotes this week was from Obama himself

"I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate,"

Translation: do whatever we have to do to pass it.

Not to be forgotten in the great debate are the doctors, themselves. Current polls indicate that 45% of doctors plan to either retire or leave the profession. How will that work out if the system brings in 30-40 million new users and there are fewer doctors? I'm sure the messiah himself will be calling the doctors "evil" for not supporting his pretense at good intentions.

Are you kidding, mw? The corporatists haven't had much power left to grab since Saint Ronnie Raygun started and Buschco finished. Obama's just grabbing a few scraps that Clinton and Bush didn't get to.

Don't they work for us?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!

Check out the last Supreme Court ruling on campaign contributions. Now who do they work for.

Americans are so bloody naive.

Sue, absolutely....people need to call.
We're going to lose, it looks like...more votes going YES this morning with more arm twisting.

Ducky, um....Bush and Reagan? Your party's setting new lows most Americans didn't even know could happen. But, I know..."Americans are so naive"...
Yes, they are..they don't even realize how bad this bill will be, they've actually bought into the lefty mantra about Republicans and they've ignored the truth about this unethical and sneaky president since he swore he didn't know Ayers.

You know Ducky, you're nothing more than a broken record.

For any of us to explain the facts to you, is a waste of time. I've tried, and you waddle back to whatever mud filled, algae ridden pond you paddle in, with out so much as a quack.

What a puny brained little fowl you are.

REPORT from FT:

I just finished my FIFTH round of attempts to reach the "key" members of congress whose numbers Dick Morris published on his website a few days ago. (I've posted them here twice.)

Nine out of ten times I get a busy signal, or a "Sorry! You cannot leave a message; our answering machine is all filled up." And several are simply letting their phones ring indefinitely -- as though there was no one there to attend to calls. I let one ring over FORTY times. And this was during BUSINESS hours.

HOWEVER, I have been able to get through to, perhaps 12 of the targeted "fence-sitters." A few have actually had a real live person answer the phone.

Needless to say I left a brief, clear message with full ID information every time a was given the chance, and I was always very polite -- and honestly grateful -- to those few who actually ANSWERED their phones.

Everyone I made contact with was VERY polite with two exceptions:

1) Paul Kanjorski's office was downright GRACIOUS and seemed genuinely receptive. His was the only office I was able to reach TWICE. Heaven knows how Kanjorski will vote, but at least he acts like a gentleman. Refreshing! UNIQUE in fact.

2) Tom Bishop's office answered the phone this afternoon, but the twerp who talked to me was an absolute SNOT.

He said, and I quote, "Save your breath, he's voting FOR it." I told him the tactics employed to ram this thing through against the will of the people were OBSCENE. He just CHUCKLED and then hung up.

BRAVO, Kanjorski! As for the rest, I don't know whether it's worse to be totally unavailable, as most of the seem to be, or openly insolent as the office of Congressman Tom Bishop.

At any rate, I'm glad I've made this much effort. I wish with all my heart that ALL of us on the right had done at least that much. I know it's hard when you have job, a family and are trying to have some kind of a life, but if WE don't do SOMETHING, who else in the world could possibly save us?

Excerpt from ROLL CALL (posted at DRUDGE)

Phone Calls Continue to Batter Congress

March 19, 2010, 12:38 p.m.

By Emily Yehle

Roll Call Staff

Members continued to be inundated with phone calls from constituents and interest groups Friday thanks to an impending vote on health care reform this weekend.

Calls to the House numbered close to 100,000 an hour, creating a bottleneck in a phone system only meant to handle 50,000 calls an hour. The chamber has been similarly overloaded for four consecutive days, beginning on Tuesday when radio host Rush Limbaugh told viewers to call the Capitol switchboard phone number.

Jeff Ventura, spokesman for Chief Administrative Officer Dan Beard, said the problem was essentially unsolvable. The issue lies with the capacity of the cables buried underneath the Capitol complex — and even if those could be dug up and replaced, Members simply don’t have enough staff to answer so many calls, he said.

“Our capacity rate is about 50,000 calls an hour, and once we hit the 40,000 mark, we start to get these signals,” he said. “We’re beyond that. There’s no other way to say it other than the system is at capacity.” ...

FT...that TWERP is right. I had to deal with a councilman here in W Los Angeles about something and the guy who answered HIS phone was downright NASTY and dismissive and demeaning...and, like you, I always keep it polite. Well, mostly...as long as I CAN :-)

Thanks SO much for this information...GOOD that people are INUNDATING! That's all I'm hearing on talk radio today, tho I haven't been able to listen MUCH, I must admit...CALL CALL CALL

I don't think we have a ghost of a chance, however. I really don't.

I just HOPE this goes to the Supreme Court and they hold it up for YEARS...until we can get a president who loves America enough not to hurt it this badly.

I'm afraid your pessimism is justified, Z.

I'm a diehard with the disposition of a pit bull, when I get riled up, -- I've been furious for months and recently and I've lost three nights' sleep in a row over this travesty -- but THIS crowd in D.C. is no longer playing by the rules. They're just making it up as they go along.

If this Health Care Nightmare isn't a clear cut case of Abuse of Power, I can't imagine what might be.

It's a lot like the Johnstown Flood, if you've ever read about that? David McCullough wrote a book about it, and did a SPLENDID documentary based on his book for public TV. Anyway, Washingtin, DC is experiencing a POLITICAL version of the Johnstown Flood -- or the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1912, if you prefer.

Anyway you slice it, it spells DISASTER.

BUT, we must remember that God is good and the ONLY true power. If we continue to believe in Him, he WILL sustain us, even if we wind up being martyred.

"Give me liberty or give me death."

Not mere words.

"If the bill is SO good for America, why does he HAVE to 'lobby' so hard?"

Exactly, it's a question obama was asked repeatedly but simply doesn't have the brains or the balls to answer.
