A rancher is dead. Please read about him and what happened;

Please pray for rancher Rob Krentz's widow and children.

THIS ARTICLE HERE is something we should all be aware and alarmed about. Here is a clip from it:

The body of Rancher Rob Krentz and his dog were found shot to death on his ranch. Krentz, who always was good-natured and willing to help people, had called in that he had found an illegal alien at one of his watering holes and was assisting him. That was the last that was heard from him before his body was discovered.

Rob Krentz was a lifelong rancher in Southeastern Arizona, 12 miles north of the U.S./Mexico border and 25 miles northeast of the city of Douglas. He was the father of three children. The ranch has been in his family for three generations, more than 100 years - since 1907, and sits on about 35,000 acres with 1,000 head of cattle. Running a ranch is hard work and with the influx of illegal aliens increasing, Rob was at ground zero of the stampede that is destroying the fragile desert landscape.

So, Mr. Krentz is dead at the age of 58 and leaves a grieving family.... Here's what he said in 2005:

"We’re being over-run, and it’s costing us lots and lots of money," Krentz said.

"We figured it up over the last five years and it’s cost us over $8 million," Krentz said. "Cattle don’t like people walking through, so they move. So, cattle weight loss, destruction of fences, breaking our pipelines, they break them in two and (the pipes) run for two or three days before we find it."

"Krentz went on to say that when he was a boy he actually knew the few illegal aliens that came through looking for work, he said it's nothing like that now as hundreds of unknown illegals stream across his land."

So, does this just continue as is? Are we going to lose more good Americans because we're allowing millions to cross illegally into our country and, to boot, paying for them in various and maddening ways? I know Mexicans here in LA who work at my car wash and at friends' homes, etc....they're some of the very sweetest people I've EVER met. But, they probably came here illegally, too. I know none of them would have murdered, but it's starting to happen more and more.........

What can we DO? I know we don't have answers but, mostly, I wanted to mention this rancher's name and ask you to hold up his family in your prayer. This shouldn't be happening. But, America's weaker than she's ever been now and we don't have the guts to really stop anything.........what's next?

It's planned weakness, Z...I sent you an article by Jan Markle...I will send you the previous one I got.

The sick thing is, once a nation loses it's rights and freedoms, it doesn't regain them by the ballot box.

And what part of ILLEGAL is too hard for people to get? And has anyone looked at how mexico treats those who enter their country illegally?

America has lost respect and thrown her dignity into the sewer...

First, this has nothing to do with Mexicans. I too come into contact a lot with Hispanics in the ER. By and large they are good people with a strong family orientation. My experience is that they are mostly polite and grateful for the care they receive.

I say this because one of my great annoyances is how the left tries to turn this into racism, ignoring the fact that the illegals are criminals.

As far as this rancher, one has to wonder how much these people on the border are supposed to take? They are, quite literally, risking their lives doing business in this area. In the meantime the federal government, which is responsible for protecting us, is ignoring what is going on. It may simply be time for the residents of this area to band together and take care of themselves.

And just what do you use as proof that "the left" (whatever that is) ignores the fact that illegals have in fact broken the law?

I assume it's because the left doesn't offer a simple solution to the problem.

On another not. Noted socialist and global warming activist Barrack Obama is unveiling a plan for extensive offshore drilling.

I don't know if his conservatism is going to come forward in the immigration legislation but he should stick to form. I know, he socialized medicine (LMAO).

Chcuk, last time the people banded together on this problem they came up with The Minutemen, an organization so corrupt that A.C.O.R.N. paled against them.

How awful!

And why isn't this blasted every hour on the hour on the news?

Um, never mind. We all know why that doesn't happen. The media are complicit is fomenting open borders!

TMW, I just read it....pretty convicting stuff, isn't it.
You're so right about how Mexico treats their illegals, but "we're supposed to be BETTER than they are"...this is the mantra that's put us in so many of these ridiculous situations. Suddenly, America's "betterness" (the only time the Left seems to really feel it IS better..when we're demeaning America to appear nice and aboveboard) is her downfall.

Chuck, it surely doesn't have much to do with Mexicans (I wouldn't say it's got 'nothing' to do with them)...as I said in my post, they're some of the kindest people I've ever met.
We sure don't see much from our federal government, do we. Yet, when our good American people try to protect themselves and their land, the feds come down on THEM.
Come to think of it, maybe it's that LAND thing, it probably rankles this new gov't of ours to SEE people with LAND, who make MONEY on that LAND (oooh, that must bug Obama and his thugs!! :-)

Ducky, 'the left'? First, you really don't know who they ARE?
And, secondly, I made no mention of party; this started before Bush and continued through his administration.
Because there's no 'simple solution' doesn't mean we should do nothing..that seems simple to me....start patrolling the borders better. The Americans who LIVE there know where illegals are coming in...time to get our government to pay attention...

Obama drilling? I'll be eager to see that. I'm glad you see that as conservative, too....being it's the smartest thing we can do.
Although it's too bad he doesn't seem to realize Alaska would probably be safer and less environmentally questionable.
ya, he socialized medicine...I'll be afraid to be around you when you see how you'll be affected. My goodness, THEN the feathers will fly in self righteous indignation!

Duck,

I don't know Duckhead, maybe because they have bent over backwards trying to relabel it by calling them "undocumented workers", or because the administration refuses to do anything about it, or maybe because Napolitano has not even acknowledged that it has happened yet. Maybe if it were an abortion doctor that was shot they would show some interest, huh? And don't waste your time attacking Bush, I've already said I was not happy with him either on this.

As far as Obama and off-shore drilling, didn't he attack Bush for this? Seems like he attacked Bush for a lot of his policies he later adopted. For the slow among you this is an acknowledgement that a lot of the policies of the Bush administration were correct. Also, the fact that he is doing something he attacked during the campaign makes him not only a socialist bent on destroying the country but also a liar.

Finally, the Minutemen. I do not now nor have I ever supported them. I think they had the right idea just the wrong organization.

What would you do, let Mexico continue dumping it's criminals on the US? Why, this hasn't happened since the last socialist US President presided over the Mariel boatlift.

z, I was referring to Chuck's generalization.

BORDER SECURITY

STATEMENT: “We need tougher border security, and a renewed focus on busting up gangs and traffickers crossing our border. . . . That begins at home, with comprehensive immigration reform. That means securing our border and passing tough employer enforcement laws.” then-candidate Obama, discussing the need for border security, speaking in Miami on May 23, 2008:

EXPIRATION DATE: March 17, 2010: The Obama administration halted new work on a "virtual fence" on the U.S.-Mexican border, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced Tuesday, diverting $50 million in planned economic stimulus funds for the project to other purposes.

Steve, I don't know, but I just saw the AZ governor asking for 250 National Guardsmen. She's right; this is a FEDERAL thing, one of the few constitutional things our government is supposed to do for us. But, they're not there.
They are, however, helping the flood victims in Rhode Island...who we should be keeping in our prayers, that looks like a nightmare.
All the weather readers are mentioning how it "hasn't happened in 100 years"...I'm hoping the Gore nuts realize this DID happen before GLOBAL WARMING. I just doubt they ever quite get that things are cyclical. And, of course, if you say that, nuts think we don't care about the waters or the trees. geeez

Was his clarification to your liking? As is usually the case when you are wrong, you seemed to ignore his reply.

Besides that, your apples to oranges comparison between ACORN and the Minutmen is hilarious. When did the minutemen get filmed trying to aid and abet someone they thought were a pimp and a prostitute?

But I don't expect an answer unless you go off in another wild pitch direction. It's who you are. You cannot help it.

But not to worry, Duck. I just want you to know that your opinions are not completely worthless. At very least they do serve as bad examples.

"...Noted socialist and global warming activist Barrack Obama is unveiling a plan for extensive offshore drilling."

Apparent contradictions like the above should be probed deeper. Judging Obama by his actions any rational mind should conclude that his policies are leftist — i.e. socialist. Saying now that he would "allow" exploration off the east coast is much different than actually seeing drilling rigs under construction and producing off the coast.

As Stuart Varney pointed out on FOXNEWS there will be such an uproar from the global warming/climate change establishment that it will be years or decades before anything will be done on that front. Obama will likely be living in Dubai or Saudi Arabia by that time.

Even departments of the U.S. government already know there is more than enough oil existing in the continental USA to last for many lifetimes just in the Bakken formation in Montana and North Dakota. That large supply runs across the border into Canada, too. It's the political games that are being played in an attempt to drive the economies into the ground that give the global warming frauds the power they have.

http://www.usgs.gov/newsroom/article.asp?ID=1911

Or even better Google "Gull Island oil reserves" — that Alaska field has been capped and the story about it shut down by government order. It's another huge oil field that was discovered decades ago and when the size of it became known the government took over from their compliant servants the oil companies.

LA and Waylon, you make excellent points and CRACKED ME UP with those comments above.

Waylon; thanks so much for that information...we all know this will never fly, but Obama's trying to look middle-of-the-road. I'm surprised he doesn't choke on his words when he knows he's lying. Sort of like when he keeps insisting "If you LIKE your health insurance, you can KEEP IT" I keep hoping he's just lying and not that STUPID.
I just heard Obama say our oil supply is only 2% of the world's supply..is that right? Or is that just a greasing of the wheels for the scenario you so wisely report here?

Any case made for amnesty is disingenuous as long as the border is minimally guarded, and that we can't build a barrier that's sufficient.

Have we become so weak and incompetent we can't erect a barrier sufficient enough to keep people out?

Are we the country that landed on the moon in an effort which took less than a decade?

The fact is, the motivation is not there to do it. No one in power cares about those Americans who live with this everyday. Evidently, the law is the law, when the politicians say it is.

If 9-11 wasn't enough to shake politicians to set aside their obsession with votes, and make America secure, does anyone think the murder of a rancher, or the crime rates in our cities matter?

That's a NO!

These geniuses who want amnesty haven't explained what's to be done with the next twenty million illegal aliens who walk in. The democrats look at these people and see only votes.

And republicans have spines made of jelly, and delude themselves into thinking if they go along with amnesty they'll get a share of the votes.

So Z, the way I see it, the answer to your question "what's next?", is, more of the same.

I am so sorry for this man's family what great and terrible loss.

I don't know how there is a way to stop the millions of illegals walking freely onto American soil.

Maybe some serious electrified fences, shoot on sight patrols, I don't know. They are breaking the law and need to be arrested and deported.
