Should our soldiers ALL come home SOON? give me your best shot

THIS is a fascinating article about Al Qaeda planning and encouraging small terror events here in the States, events that don't need to be particularly successful..."Even apparently unsuccessful attacks on Western mass transportation systems can bring major cities to a halt, cost the enemy billions and send his corporations into bankruptcy," according to American-born scumbag jihadist Adam Gadahn. Yes, the muslims want to bring America down (in an apparent race with the Democrats in our own government) and we're over there getting our soldiers killed fighting to help prevent terrorist training camps so we're safer here, and to make muslims supposedly happy in whatever semblance of democracy can be implemented in their countries once most of their extremists are gone. Follow me here, please:

Would we be better off bringing our troops home now and putting all of them (ALL) on our borders, protecting our airports and trains and subways, or as air marshalls, and/or infiltrating Mexican drug cartels and inner city gangs? Or how about their watching over the 35 terror training camps we apparently have here in the United States?

Here's a novel idea: How about our fighting back HERE, but HARD, including infiltrating mosques and hearing and arresting the bigshot imams preaching death to America, or even slamming every little punk we THINK might be plotting against us and kicking them out just because we FEEL WE SHOULD, that we might be SAFER with them OUT OF HERE? (Oh, forgive me, how politically incorrect!)
How about erring on OUR SIDE for a change? I have a hunch our soldiers would be ALL OVER THAT IDEA, what do you think? I know I feel dedicated to fighting HARDER HERE, but ..bringing soldiers home? .........convince me one way or the other.........soldiers stay there or come home?

Why do you assume that isn't being done?

No, unfortunately one of the problems we have is maintaining our standards of human rights (which have slipped woefully) while preventing the far right from indulging their baser instincts.

I wonder how "Human Rights Advocates" would feel as their naked bodies were being lowered ever-so-slowly, inch-by-inch into a chipper-shredder machine, while their families were forced to look on -- or as they were forced to watch their wives or daughters buried in sand up to their necks to be ritualistically stoned and kicked to death?

I wonder what Human Rights Activists would feel if they were suddenly trapped on the top floor of a skyscraper while the building burned, and molten girders wrapped them in a searing hot embrace, as their brains and eyeballs exploded in their heads and everything beneath them crumpled into toxic fumes?

Given the historical Democrat tendency to specifically target civilians in past military operations under their leadership, I'm hesistant to encourage the Obama administration to take a leadership role in the war on terrorism.

We're going to just have to tough it out until competence returns to the White House. Sometimes you need a Truman to get an Eisenhower, a Johnson to get a Nixon, a Carter to get a Reagan, a Clinton to get a Bush, and an Obama to get the end of leftism.

Z said...

Ducky, if you think we're doing everything possible, you're naive.
As for punks? Ya, we'll be dead, but our standards of human rights will be in tact. You honestly don't think our enemies aren't counting on that, do you?
it's like our soldiers getting in trouble for collateral damage when our enemy's stock and trade is exactly that.
You for the National ID card, Ducky? does that 'maintain our standards' in your opinion?

FT....that's an important quote, thanks for the reminder.

Brooke...I never thought I'd feel that way but I'm starting to.

Beamish....I feel like Obama'd rather target US than them.

just saw a report on television that there are many American and British-born terrorists living amongst us with passports, etc...never been in trouble before, no reason to check them out because we CAN'T, it wouldn't be nice and wouldn't live up to our standards.
I guess it's just a waiting game now. We can't safeguard because we really can't ask any questions and, of course, Jihad Jane lied and we let her go.
Not a pretty picture....
I guess Al Qaeda feels pretty damned emboldened, how could they not? But, they'd probably have never started this thing if they thought they didn't have a good chance.

That's the kind of thinking that's getting us in trouble...thank goodness there are columnists who understand; sad he's not in a position of authority.
Thanks, Imp, for the link.

No, z, I am not for a National ID card.

Here's how I do it:
You take a bunch of high level American imams and get them together in a room. You point out to them that Muslims are SUCCESSFUL in America and we want that to continue.
Then tell them we have to take out the garbage. We want them to help and we want prosperity in their communities but we are taking out the freaking trash and we want their assistance.
In return for that assistance we will also crack down on the drama queens when they attempt to impose their bigotry.

Close all mosques and madrassas....deport all muslim "students"...close CAIR, MSA and every other slimy alphabet soup muslim group. But before we bring the troops home to kill more Muslims here...make sure we fire, remove and discharge all muslims form any rank in our Armed Forces. They cannot be trusted...until they turn on their own. Muslims and leftists must be treated alike...enemies of the state.

Oh...and "D(orky)ucky....let me know how you feel when some scuzball muslim...denies your basic "human rights".

Z said...

Ducky, thanks. ANd I'm SURE we can believe the Imams when they see we're so nice and caring and they'll drop terrorism like a hot potato.
Thanks for trying out.
I wish I thought that had a chance.
Next, you can work on CAIR, okay?

Anonymous..I'm leaning that way ... Muslims/Arabs, etc., operate SOLELY on PRIDE. PRIDE PRIDE.
They know we're UNproud right now, we have a president who appeases and apologizes and has muslim prayer partners.......they're ON US now and we have little to fight back with here because Harvard lawyers are on their side, too.

We do need to stop ALL immigration for 5 years, in my opinion....muslim or not.
Let's get our ducks in a row then open doors again with much more stringent guidelines for entry.

You're right..and it might sound heartless to do what you recommend but I have yet to see muslims in America speak out in droves about the terrorism that's caused 2 wars and fear in this country.

Ducky's here said...

As I explained, z, Muslims are very successful in America. They wish to continue to prosper and realize that the insane among them are a detriment.

Then we go after the snake handlers.

Z said...

Ducky, I totally understand, you don't have to repeat yourself.
And I'm talking TRUST...how do we trust those who have not yet spoken against terrorists amongst them?
And what "success?" What great success?
I know a Muslim doctor in AZ who I've blogged about...I heard him speak about how muslims resent the terrorists and only want to prosper here, etc etc...but, one never hears much from him anymore, either. Is that to say he's joined their side? Of course not, but where IS HE?
Speak to all the imams you like, YOU pick which ones we can trust.

I'd LOVE to think your plan would work, believe me.

True belief in the Koran with all its exhortations to convert or kill the "infidel" and take the world for Allah is going to trump material success every time. I'm talking "true belief" here. Those Muslims with a "liberal" or revisionist or spiritualized interpretation of their religion won't go that way, but most of them won't defend the infidel against the radical fundamentalists either. You are right, Z, there is no way to trust them.

Our military personnel should be sent home immediately -- in fact they should NEVER have been deployed to the Middle East in the first place.

If we have no intention of fighting to WIN decisive victories, we have no business going to war.

If we are going to put our young people in places where they can be shot at, blown up, incinerated, crushed to death or captured and dragged through the streets and spat upon before being brutally murdered, OUR people should be held IMMUNE to prosecution of ANY kind, unless they turn on one another in acts of treachery and treason.

And MUSLIMS should NEVER be permitted to serve in our armed forces or any other position of high responsibility.

Muslims practice TAQQIYA -- officially sanctioned DECEPTION -- they play false roles to gain our trust all the while plotting to destroy us.

This country needs to be PURGED.

If you don't think so, just LOOK at what has happened to us since 911. Never has any nation gone down so far so fast with so little opposition as we. 911 has made us CONTRITE and ACCOMMODATING to ALL our many enemies.

Electing Barack HUSSEIN Obama is positive proof that we are on a SUICIDE KICK.

Faith, I sure wish I was wrong....don't you?

FT reminds us of something important; Muslims, by the nature of their credos and koran and other beliefs, are not at all America-cohesive....
Not only their faith but their Sharia law beliefs, etc etc...and, please, nobody tell us that no muslims around our president believe America would be better off with Sharia laws.

While I have been one of the few insisting there ARE good America-loving muslims, their 'holy book' and teachings do not speak well for any kind of real admiration for America and her ways....not if they're practicing, Koran-believing muslims...
but, then, neither are at least half of this administration, so........

Well, the uncomfortable fact is, if we pull out all our troops right now, Afghanistan will be as it was before 9-11.

The Taliban and Al Quaeda will rule and that country will be more of a safe haven for terrorists than before. They will have free reign because the U.S. would not have the guts to go in there again.

I believe when we do pull out we will have military posted on bases in the region for a very long time. At least IMO, we should. With this President, we can only hope this will be the case.

Also, if we pull out, we will have admitted defeat, and the terrorists will gain a huge victory, and those of our military who have died there, will have sacrificed their lives for nothing.

Finally, our, military, with the exception of state National Guard servicmen, cannot serve on our borders, or in a domestic capacity, unless it's called on to dispense humanitarian assistance in the event of a disaster.

In the event of a civil war I think Martial Law has to be declared, if I'm not mistaken.

As far as infiltration into suspected illegal activity is concerned, I believe that comes under the responsibility of the FBI, I guess the ATF, and domestic law enforcemnt.

I believe that's already being done, though we are not kept abreast of this until a case is made and acted upon. Nor should we be.

Ducky, our human rights standards are not meant to be a suicide mission either. It's a fine balance between human rights and acceptance of our own demise as a nation. No one ever said it would be easy.

Right now, I'm more concerned with the rights we as Americans have always enjoyed, like a confidential relationship with our doctor, or our bank, for instance. We have already lost those.

I'd like to think the remarkable restraint, toleration, and overall goodwill America has shown in the years since Islamists essentially declared war upon our nation some 225 years ago when the Brabary States attempted to extort an exhorbitant tribute from the United States in exchange for a end to pirate attacks upon US vessels in the Mediterranean, capturing cargo and selling crew and passengers into slavery, that we've earned some goodwill on our own.

How much respect do we have to give to soothe Islamist urges?

"It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once." - report on the response from Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, ambassador of the Barbary States in negotiation with then diplomatic envoy Thomas Jefferson, 1785.

"If" bringing all of our troops home now would suddenly stop all terror attacks on us here and around the world, sure... I would be fore it.

But that won't happen. We would still be hated, still be attacked.

Yes, we could use more troops on the borders, but they would probably still have the same old ROE, Rules of Engagement, and not be allowed to actually DO anything.

This is a very different type war. It's not like we are fighting one country in one spot on the globe. We seem to be fighting them everywhere you can put your finger. This is a fight we cannot afford to lose.

Let's point out that the world terror attacks are located in areas where the troops are, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan.

There have been few attacks and even fewer successful attacks elsewhere in the last couple years.

So just what you think the magic troops can do beyond assisting in implementing a police state which you seem to desire, I don't know.

It doesn't take much to blow yourself up in a mall or subway station. Not much money and not much equipment. So I would ask why we haven't even had a failed attempt on American soil recently.

The only attack involved a dipstick making a eunuch of himself on a plane which gives some insight into the level of tech and training this enemy, which has you wetting yourself, possesses.

I think the most dangerous enemy is the enemy within. Sending young men and women into harms way to fight a war in which they are fighting a two-fronted war against the religious zealots and the more dangerous enemy being the one in their own back yard. Phony and self-righteous politicians pretending the avowed enemy of the country and all that it stands for have equal rights and in many cases more rights than those on the front lines risking life and limb are more dangerous to the country and its long term existence.

The frothing foaming Islamic lunatics are a visible enemy — the slime that gives them equal rights under the law are more dangerous.

but let an American soldier punch a known killer terrorist in the gut, and there's all HELL to pay, right?

In some ways George W. Bush has been a victim of his own success.

The USA has not been attacked in any significant way -- on her own shores -- since 911.

One of my problems with W. -- and I have many -- is his complete betrayal of the principles of conservatism in his domestic politics.

I BENEFIT from the Rx Drug Program for Seniors, but I am against it on PRINCIPLE. But this is what happens. The MINUTE a new "entitlement" is born it has ETERNAL LIFE and it gets more and more expensive each passing day. If I rejected the benefit, it would not alter the state of the nation one whit, so I take it. Shame on me! I don't absolutely NEED it, thank God.

If we could by some miracle RESCIND Social Security, Medicare and the Rx Drug Bust, I'd be glad -- even though I, personally, would lose a few thousand dollars each year for the rest of my life.

What people don't, can't -- or won't -- realize is that these "entitlement" programs are THE primary force that has driven up costs beyond control.

We USED to think in terms of meaningful, personal SACRIFICE as a way of repairing deficits and imbalances, but ever since the ENTITLEMENT mentality took hold, people have become increasingly greedy, lazy, selfish, dependent and insolent.

That CAN'T just be a coincidence. The corollary there is SICKENING.

With FDR's New Deal we swallowed a dose of slow-acting corrosive POISON that's been eating our guts out ever since.

SHOULD be people be "helped?"

YES, of COURSE -- but only of they are armless, legless, blind, cancer-ridden, unable to breathe without assistance or mentally defective. Welfare Queens -- and you know EXACTLY what I mean by that -- people who have never seriously tried to work, but have learned with feral cunning how to "Work the System" -- should be STERILIZED after the second baby -- UNLESS they agree to give up Welfare Payments and subsidized Public Housing, etc.

Public money should NEVER go to people who ARE capable of taking care of themselves -- or would be -- if they didn't have so much EXTRACTED from them in TAXES at every conceivable level.

FDR had FORTY-FIVE people on his staff. Obama has at least FIFTEEN-HUNDRED. What does that tell you?

Something's GOT to GIVE, and it AIN'T the American taxpayer.

BLOATED BUREAUCRACY = the biggest DRAIN on the economy ever.

They don't stop to think THEY ARE PAYING because it's not directly out of their pockets. He'll be raising middle class taxes in a few months but he'll do it exquisitely, hiding behind all kinds of things...wait till it gets so we REALLY NOTICE $$$

Indeed I am. There's no such thing as "hate" speech. Speech is speech subject to the interpretation of the individual within earshot. It is up to the listener as to how they will respond. As for "hate" crime, it matters little the motive behind crime. Motive is merely how we prescribe intent. It is not to serve as a punitive measure in punishment.

If someone is murdered, there are indeed degrees but degrees are not the same as motive.
