Psalm 33:12-22

New International Version (NIV)
 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
   the people he chose for his inheritance
.
13 From heaven the LORD looks down
   and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling place he watches
   all who live on earth—
15 he who forms the hearts of all,
   who considers everything they do.

 16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
   no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
   despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
   on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
   and keep them alive in famine.

 20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
   he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
   for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love be with us, LORD,
   even as we put our hope in you

I sure can't add anything to that.   Have a blessed Sunday, friends.

If you look around the world today, those that believe in the Christian God are the ones doing well.

Thanks, Z! When we, as a nation, decide that even mentioning God is OK, we will begin to become what we used to be on the path to becomming.

Dear God, please help our nation wake up to you, in Jesus' name.

I too say, Amen.

God's speed for Dick Cheney's recovery. May he do well, and have many fruitful years ahead of him.

I'm so glad you all were touched as I was by this psalm.
it's so important.

Bob, as for Cheney, he's only 71 and waited very long....let's hope this all goes so well because he has a right to enjoy life after having had to worry through five heart attacks which started when he was in his mid thirties. Let's hope this one works.
I just watched an ABC interview on line...the woman news reader was trying hard to criticize but the doctor's facts made her look silly....they DO heart transplants now at older ages, and the stats show he could have, easy, another at least five healthy years.
I love to watch experts make the leftist news readers look silly in the hopes of getting confirmation for their (hate Cheney) agendas.

So much lost from one man's 3 years' of effort. We've been poor listeners.

Son = Enlightened.

I can't show you the way. I can show you the results but then you would find cause to dismiss these results. Time and tenure in the Christ are required. The Christ might not be the best path as we can't fully understand it. Maybe a little less brain, a little less heart, and a little more spirit -- you need to find the spirit and when you do you find The Christ. It's really mellow here. Its.... wow! Super sweet.

God told me something today. I listened and acted his will. In trusting Him I know, based on the empirical evidence, that it was what I should do.

You must always trust God first. It is a leap of faith that's required and the rewards are most excellent.

Cactus ....that's great.
I have to admit I find Christ enough...the very best path!

AMEN This scripture gives us the answer. What a powerful word for today you have presented Z.

2 Chronicles 7:14
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

And as we used to say at home - in jest - or course - after the dinner grace - and this has been forever banned from my daughter's household since I first taught to my 4 year old grandson and he repeated it at a family dinner at his other grandparents - shocking them all in to silence:

Amen

Shot a Goose
and Killed a hen

God bless us everyone
