Sunday Faith Blog....For the Beauty of the Earth

I guess we've had enough angst over the week with politics, etc., so I thought I'd publish some of Ms Z (not mine, but my stepdaughter's) photography .....I hope you enjoy the beauties of God's creation.  HERE is an amazing music video of my favorite version of FOR THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH that you might enjoy, too.

"God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us."  Acts 17:27.  Maybe some of God's beauty was to bring us closer to's one way he can reveal Himself!  Have a great Sunday!  Z (and Ms Z)

Spring hasn't sprung here yet. Got a nice late March dumping of snow here (2 inches) all yesterday and overnight.

Beautiful photographs! The hymn by the Barlow Girls is my favorite version as well. One of those older hymns, the words of which
lend so well to music, so
that the original Conrad Kocher (your link) has been followed by those of Cruger, Ratisbon, Turle and Rutter...the latter the most popular version these days.

BB, I hadn't even known there was another version until I Googled recently. You're right.
How anybody can better this melody is beyond me!
And I hadn't heard of the Barlow Girls before finding this video, either.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the music and the photos...Ms Z, my stepdaughter, is amazingly talented and starting yet another business with them.

Very beautiful, Z..the photography, and the song!

My husband has always said that such beauty of nature is God's billboard!

Very beautiful -- both the photography and the subjects.

Someone once told me that the fragile, transient beauty of flowers is one of the hints God gives us of the permanent -- and far greater -- blessings that await us in Heaven.

I think that must be true of great music, art and literature as well. Everything that appears exquisitely beautiful, empathetic and encouraging in this Vale of Tears -- everything that touches our hearts, fosters compassion, and makes us feel glad to be alive -- is what Wordsworth would call an "intimation of immortality."

Each flower acts as an antidote for part of the dreariness, ugliness and ignorance that plagues so much of the world.

Faith gives enables us to see the beauty that's present everywhere -- even in each tiny snow crystal.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise him above, ye heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Z, how beautiful. Nothing can compare to these gifts which are given to us.

Thanks for a few moments to remind us how fortunate we are.

Z and Pris;

a news that can make you happy and all your brave bloggers, your prayers were exhausted.

The woman was freed.

SAM, the AMAZING thing is that I hesitated to post and ask for prayer because I thought "who would do that for her? and will it really help?" but I felt COMPELLED to post it, I felt urged to by something,... and VOILA!
C'est magnifique, cette information!

Praise God! i'm so glad!

I remember living in Munich and brushing snow from the Narcissus! It's lovely...

Elbro, sounds terrific.
We have Descanso Gardens and other lovely places here,'s nice to take a break like that.

Sam, that is good news , I'm so glad I was wrong.

Singapore is beautiful, I spent 3 weeks there a lifetime ago.

No pris,

you were not wrong.

The case of that woman was a special case, she was exposed to the international medias.

There, the reporters did something that the UN, NATO, USA and the whole military of the earth couldn't do.

The Information and exposing the injustice is the lethal arm against the oppressors.

This is what JESUS DID, What MOISE DID and what all the prophets did.

So, if the people become fluid to the current of the truth, the intensity of that current wile sweep out the dictators.

Beautiful images, Z!
Ms. Z certainly does capture the life and the color well.

And I'm so very happy about the rescue of that brave woman. What a wonderful thing to give thanks for!
