Obama. the 823493457893957th post

I've been thinking a LOT about this ridiculous Obama candidacy this weekend. Ridiculous....yup. What else can I call it? It's just ridiculous to think so many people feel CHANGE is so important that they'd vote for a guy whose life is so very, very questionable??

It's all so 'out there', so dishonest, so far left, so deceitful. And the Alinsky 'rules' are coming into play every day in the Obama campaign. Biden is now saying that the "unbecoming personal attacks" have to stop! The best defense is a good offense, huh? (How many personal attacks ARE becoming, by the way!?) Well, actually, most of Obama's become him......or belong to him. By the way, here are just a few of Ayers' 'rules'..sound familiar to you?

"Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear and retreat."
"Make the enemy live up to his/her own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."
"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."
"The threat is generally more terrifying than the thing itself."
"In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt."
"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it." (Think Gingrich, Lott and the success of name-calling used by the likes of Bill Clinton, Paul Begala, James Carville, Maxine Waters and others against conservatives and Republicans. Think of how Clinton "enemies" like Paula Jones or Linda Tripp were treated.)
"One of the criteria for picking the target is the target's vulnerability ... the other important point in the choosing of a target is that it must be a personification, not something general and abstract." (Trent Lott comes to mind. Meanwhile, a former Klansman by the name of Sen. Robert Byrd got away with saying "nigger" on Fox News at least three times, and he still maintains his Senate seat and power.)
"The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength." For instance, Democrats imply conservatives are racists or that Republicans want to kill senior citizens by limiting the growth of the Medicare system, they imply Republicans want to deny kids lunch money without offering real proof. These red-herring tactics work.

The last one, in navy-colored bold, sure fits this 'unbecoming' accusation, doesn't it? Stop McCain dead in his legitimate tracks.....make it look like it's HIS fault. Typical
What are we supposed to do, ignore Obama's (and Hillary's) Alinsky-appreciation, Ayers's amazing and numerous alliances with Obama (and Michelle, did you hear she worked with Bernadine Dohrn, Ayers' wife? I guess Obama forgot Ayers was more than just "someone who lives in my neighborhood", huh?), Wright, Rezko, Fleger, Farrakhan, etc? Just 'let it go!'?? Ignore the facts, the implications? Why? Aren't these valid points? Why are they "unbecoming personal attacks?" They're TRUE. SO many things are coming out that an America media would be crucifying a Republican candidate over. And NOTHING from the media. Did you notice?

So, what's the deal, folks? Here are the things running through my mind this weekend:

Obama is adored by FARRAKHAN, a professed mus lim hater of Jews and someone who preaches to children and others about Obama the 'messiah'....AYERS and Obama have known each other for years and there's some compelling information that Ayers wrote Obama's books (did you hear THAT?) There are tons of other connections; sitting on the same boards, Obama being selected by Ayers to run the Annenberg Foundation, Obama's political debut made in Ayers' living room, etc. etc. (By the way, my favorite argument about Obama not knowing Ayers was a terrorist is when they say "Obama was only 8". I wasn't BORN then and I know Hitler killed people. What's with that lame excuse by the left?)

Obama is loved by celebrities....radicals.........the leftist media.......there's word that, with the alliances he's had, he'd not pass a security clearance......he's never ever run anything but the Annenberg Foundation, where he gave away millions of dollars to radical schools in Chicago for Ayers...Ayers picked him to run the foundation based on WHAT? Obama is in a video giving the finger to Hillary (don't miss this one...imagine THIS kind of 'class' in the White House?), he's in a video saying that he'll be inviting ACORN and other community organizer groups to the White House before his inauguration to help him "shape his presidential agenda" (I'll be happy to link this but, funny enough, the video halts and starts and takes forever to watch......coincidence?). Have you seen that 'lipstick on a pig' video? You have to not WANT to see the truth to believe that huge pause after he said that line wasn't meant for just the kind of Obama-nut appreciative applause and laughter it got. Only Donna Brasile and other members of the leftist media would think he didn't mean what he said after seeing that video. Oh, the whole audience thought that line was hilarious, fresh and new, just all by itself? That's INSANE, folks.

And, is he really an American citizen? Do we know for sure? Why is this Democrat, Philip Berg, Esquire, going to court over the fact that he feels Obama's birth certificate is a fake and he's really a Kenyan? I know nothing about this, but the facts by Mr. Berg are quite compelling and provocative.

Have you ever seen the fashion runways filled with Obama couture? Is this NORMAL? Dignified? Do we like the idea of a future president giving the finger in public?, his image all over the newest couture, purses, etc., his alliances being radical left-wing figures throughout his life? How about a guy who whines about McCain exposing the truth about him while he basically calls Palin a pig? Do we know anything about this guy who the homeless, Moveon.org, Daily Kos, celebrities like Alex Baldwin and Oprah are drooling over? Is that the kind of guy AMERICANS WANT?

OH, there's SO MUCH MORE than I've mentioned..SO much more....but ya, Americans love this guy!! And, really, how MANY more Obama posts are we bloggers going to have to do before America wakes up? 893459870843570932757??

ARE WE NUTS?

GEEEEEZ, a 15 digit number! No wonder I'm getting carpel-tunnel. If our efforts don't end up in vain, it will have been worth it. I still think we have a real good shot. It's not a scientific study, but if my memory serves me correctly, polls are wrong more than half the time. How can a couple thousand respondants fortell what 300,000,000 Americans think? A point that I have seen no one bring up:

When the telephone rings and it's a pollster, the republicans and the democrats probably take a few minutes to answer the questions. They probably feel as I do that I want to help that poll look good for my side. When an undecided INDEPENDENT answers that call, if they even do, they have a much higher likelihood of hanging up without answering the questions. Since the dems outnumber us, of course the polls will show them ahead, or at least give them an edge.

More than 30,000 Florida felons who by law should have been stripped of their right to vote remain registered to cast ballots in this presidential battleground state, a Sun Sentinel investigation has found.

Many are faithful voters, with at least 4,900 turning out in past elections.

Another 5,600 are not likely to vote Nov. 4 — they're still in prison.

Of the felons who registered with a party, Democrats outnumber Republicans more than two to one.

Three more weeks until the election!

Lewis's recent statement that McCain is fomenting hatred and division -- and possible violence -- is beyond the pale and has turned off a lot of voters as far as Obama's candidacy goes. Even some Dems I know are disgusted and ready to stay home from the polls; some are even willing to vote for McCain now.

Forget the polls. Go out and vote "Nobama"!

I think AOW is right. The more Lewis (et.al.) makes claims about racism, the angrier mainstream voters become. Notice that Barack Obama doesn’t address racism in a direct way; he dances around the issue like a 12-year old girl in a tutu. Meanwhile, staunch Democrat Larry Flint is producing a porn-movie staring a Sarah Palin look-a-like, and pro-ACORN/Democratic demonstrators are wearing T-shirts proclaiming, “Sarah Palin is a c__t.”

Yep, it’s a heck of a firefight. What I hope is that decent Americans will repudiate the socialist/Democrats in both the Congress and the race for the White House. I mean, if Americans really are “mad as hell,” let’s see if the nitwits from Chestnut Hill reelect Barney Frank for the fourteenth time – we should recall that in many respects, the Congress is more important to “we the people” than the presidency ever was.

Z...I have seen a lot of your comments at friends' sites and I finally got around to stopping by. I love your blog! I will certainly be adding you to my blogroll!

As to your post, I think we are all a little nutty these days. I have never seen such shady behavior from a canidate get rewarded so much. Sometimes I really do think that people think of him as the messiah. No matter that time after time, he has his hands caught in the cookie jar, they seem to excuse it, for what reason I can't begin to explain. I don't know how else to rationalize the disregard for how low this man will stoop to just to win an election. Great post!

Z said...

Jennifer! Welcome, and thanks for the blogroll mention!

you're right about Obama. When he does or says something awful, he describes it as "inartful" or "ill advised" Imagine our MEDIA letting McCain get away with that?

And, don't forget; Obama called his family 'off limits' while Palin has been crucified by his people and the media (one and the same, of course). Suddenly, Michelle's GONE. NOWHERE to be found.

Odd, huh? Thank goodness nobody on the mcC campaign is ashamed of having Cindy on the trail.

Democracy may be the best political system under the sun, but--like every other manmade thing--it's flawed.

And the Founding Fathers themselves knew that, which is why we're not a pure democracy, but a republic, the electoral system devised specifically for the purpose of tempering the mob rule that could result from pure democracy and the election of a manipulative demagogue.

But it can only temper that, not override it completely (we need monarchies or dictatorships to do that), and I'm afraid the lunatics are taking over the electoral asylum.

"Salagadoola metchigboola bibbity bobbity boo! It will do magic, believe it nor not. Bibbity bobbity boo!"

Thus sang the Fairy Godmother in Walt Disney's Cinderella, which came out c. 1950, if I remember rightly.

Oh, how I long for those innocent carefree days, even though the Korean war, which Truman started and wouldn't let MacArthur properly finish, was still in full swing and many more thousands of young Americans were being killed, maimed, imprisoned and tortured then than in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

But nobody, except crackpots, "protested" then. They just SERVED.

Sixty years later, we've become a NATION of crackpots. If it were not so, we wouldn't even be DREAMING that a creep like Obama, rooted in primitive African savagery on one side and virulent communism on the other, with close ties to domestic terrorists, raving anti-American lunatics, racketeers, and determined "internationalists" could even ATTEMPT to run for the presidency.

Yes! We are a nation driven mad, but not, I think, by "witches." MARXISTS are the ones who have done it.

They poisoned our THINKING.

John McCain needs to become a sabre-toothed tiger tomorrow night, a wild beast who will leap across the stage and tear Obama's throat out, and rip his well-tailored carcass to shreds. But McCain won't. Instead, like the mercurial "maverick" he is, he will probably APOLOGIZE for the rude, unfair, possibly-racist tone of some overzealous members of his campaign.

If anyone want to know what I think it's this: McCain agreed some time ago to take a dive in obeisance to the dictates of the Shadow Government that REALLY rules the world.

May God help all the many decent people caught in this stinking mess.

I suppose it could be said, as Michael Gerson has alleged, that the Obama campaign's choice of the word erratic to describe McCain is also an insinuation. But really, it's only a euphemism. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear had to feel sorry for the old lion on his last outing and wish that he could be taken somewhere soothing and restful before the night was out. The train-wreck sentences, the whistlings in the pipes, the alarming and bewildered handhold phrases—"My friends"—to get him through the next 10 seconds. I haven't felt such pity for anyone since the late Adm. James Stockdale humiliated himself as Ross Perot's running mate. And I am sorry to have to say it, but Stockdale had also distinguished himself in America's most disastrous and shameful war, and it didn't qualify him then and it doesn't qualify McCain now.

The most insulting thing that a politician can do is to compel you to ask yourself: "What does he take me for?" Precisely this question is provoked by the selection of Gov. Sarah Palin. I wrote not long ago that it was not right to condescend to her just because of her provincial roots or her piety, let alone her slight flirtatiousness, but really her conduct since then has been a national disgrace. It turns out that none of her early claims to political courage was founded in fact, and it further turns out that some of the untested rumors about her—her vindictiveness in local quarrels, her bizarre religious and political affiliations—were very well-founded, indeed. Moreover, given the nasty and lowly task of stirring up the whack-job fringe of the party's right wing and of recycling patent falsehoods about Obama's position on Afghanistan, she has drawn upon the only talent that she apparently possesses.

It therefore seems to me that the Republican Party has invited not just defeat but discredit this year, and that both its nominees for the highest offices in the land should be decisively repudiated, along with any senators, congressmen, and governors who endorse them.

Z: psi bond! Don't look now but Farrakhan, yet another great fan of Obama is the first one who referred to him as THE MESSIAH. Did you not see the video?

Don’t care now, Z. I saw the video on Fox several times. I don’t know when he said that. The date was not given. Or when el Rushbo first began to call Obama the Messiah. Do you know? Those facts would certainly be needed to establish priority, assuming that is of some importance to you.. I do not judge it an issue of any importance.

Furthermore, who said it first is irrelevant to my point: One whom el Rushbo mockingly calls the Messiah has my vote. And, it increasingly seems, that of most Americans, including Christopher Hitchens and Christopher Buckley, both of whom were formerly Bush supporters.

Must feel SO good voting the same way the Jew hating Farrakhan is, right, Psi? Or Wm Ayers. What an achievement! That, alone, should make you THINK.

Playing the Jewish card on me won’t work, Z. I think attempting to smear a person with guilt by association is an appalling practice that is not consistent with good American values. Whom Farrakhan or Ayers prefers means nothing at all to me. If I were to reject any candidate who is preferred by someone who is considered disreputable, there would be NO candidate that I could vote for.

If guilt by association is fair in your view, then it’s fair to dredge up McCain's association with an international fascist organization called the World Anti-Communist League. Back when he joined up with WACL, a quarter-century ago, the shadowy group was a haven for war criminals, drug smugglers and other miscreants from Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Mideast, promoting the ideology of the far right, supposedly to combat the Soviet foe. Among those involved in WACL were the fascist terrorists identified as responsible for bombings in Italy that had killed hundreds of innocent people. Was McCain, then a political neophyte, responsible for the crimes of his associates in WACL? No, but he was an adult when he signed up, and he lent his prestige to them. He says he quit, but John Singlaub, the ultra-right former Army general who served as WACL's American frontman for many years, doesn't recall him resigning.

By the way, I have met and talked with Hitchens and he's a wonderful man, but I agree with him on nothing else BUT the war, of which he is FAR more informed and experienced than you are...does THAT stance ever give you pause?

I am sure Hitchens is a much more experienced political observer than me–––or you. But regarding this war or that war, this candidate or that candidate, I THINK for myself. Though you're always trying to do so, I don’t think I need you to tell me how to think.

Or you only credit him with what you like?

Whether he is repudiating Kissinger, critics of the war, or Mother Teresa’s missionary position, among other targets, Hitchens is a thoughtful, elegant, and ruthless observer whose opinions are always worth reading, whether or not I like them or agree with them.

(Don't expect me to believe you don't know whether I am a Jew; when talking about Christians, you once suggested I would have to convert to understand them.) You pounce on anything that may be misrepresented as The Truth so as to induce fear and you run with it the whole nine yards, appealing to a person’s capacity for being frightened.

I told you Hitchens is an excellent conversationalist and I found him attentive and kind, too.
That he speaks out for this war... as eloquent and well informed as you think he is..should at least cause anybody against this war to think twice.
I doubt if you presented his piece here because he's such a wonderful writer and keen observer..but good try at that obfuscation.

Nice try, Z, but I also regularly read movie reviews by professional film critics–––I have no idea if they are personable or not, but they know a lot more about film than I ever will. Nonetheless, they don’t determine my opinion of a film. The reason I presented Hitchens’ well-argued anti-McCain piece here is because you have consistently represented Obama supporters as nuts or stupid or deluded. I may be nuts or stupid or deluded to imagine that what a first-rate political observer (respected by the right, who supports Obama) thinks would make any difference to how you think of Obama supporters, but it may matter to others.

My goodness.

Your goodness has nothing to do with the way you behave here.

FYI:

mouth-breather n. a stupid person; a moron, dolt, imbecile. Subjects:English, Derogatory, Slang

Editorial Note: The original definition of mouth-breather referred to a person that, due to medical problems (usually with the sinuses or nose), was forced to breath via the mouth. This leaves the jaw hanging open at most times, which has a tendency to make a person look dopey or spacey.

Mouth breathing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mouth breathing
ICD-10 R06.5
ICD-9 784.9
Mouth breathing refers to the state of inhaling and exhalingthrough the mouth.
A healthy individual normally breathes through the nose while resting or doing light exercise, and breathes simultaneously through both the nose and mouth during vigorous aerobic exercise, in order to supply sufficient oxygen.

Excessive mouth breathing is problematic because air is not filtered and warmed as much as when inhaled through the nose, as it bypasses the nasal canal and paranasal sinuses, and dries out the mouth. Mouth breathing is often associated with congestion, obstruction, or other abnormalities of the upper respiratory tract. Mouth breathing is a diagnostic sign of adenoiditis especially with persistentrhinorrhea. Comorbidities include asthma, obesity, snoring, halitosis, and obstructive sleep apnea.

Social perception

Mouth breathing in public is sometimes considered to be less socially acceptable or attractive than nose breathing, as mouth breathers can appear to have a somewhat "slack jawed" look, and mouth breathing can cause or exacerbate bad breath. Consequently, the term "mouth breather" may be used in a pejorative sense for someone lacking in hygiene or intelligence.

Thank you Mr. Schmidt, that was a thorough diagnosis. I guess I'm one of them, at least some of the time. Nobody has ever mentioned it about me though.

Funny, the one person who looks like a moronic hick to me for always having his mouth hanging open is Clinton, but nobody seems to have commented on that about him. I think might be a mannerism of Arkansans as I've seen it before. Dunno if it has anything to do with plugged-up sinuses.

Thanks. J.J.J., for the great cut-and-paste job on mouth breathers. Whenever I see one, I will think of you

Never argue with an unworthy opponent. Engaging him dignifies his assertions and lends undue credence to his point of view.

Never shy away from defending your point of view. Not doing so lends substance to points of view that are rationally indefensible.
