A wise European

SO, I just went downstairs and was talking to Mr. Z and his son who's here from, let's just say, Europe.

As most of you know, in Europe, Obama is considered the best man for America's presidency, let's face it. Mr. Z's son isn't too political, but he certainly thought Obama must be a pretty good guy from what he's heard. He's been visiting for ONE WEEK, listening to us and watching FOX, CNN, etc., and here's how the discussion 10 minutes ago went:

I said "So, you've only been here one week, but you have to admit that if you only believed HALF of what you've heard about Obama from us and the television, wouldn't you agree that Americans ought to think twice before voting for him, that what you've heard in Europe isn't the truth?? Wouldn't only believing 50% of what we say make you think you'd better think twice if you were voting for Obama?"

His answer was "50% of what I've heard? It would only take ONE thing to change MY mind.... He wants to go into MY pocket and give what I've got to SOMEONE ELSE. That's enough for me!"

WHY isn't that enough for many Americans? I told him I'd blog this and wouldn't use his name. He said "Just call me Mr. Z, Jr.!" Done. (brains run in Mr. Z's family!)

When my daughter came over from Belgium she told me that they hardly hear a word about McCain - it's all Obama over there.

steve, your daughter's right; a European friend told me it's like nobody's running against Obama. But, they've torn Palin to shreds over there. Don't forget, the NYTimes owns the Int'l Herald Tribune and they read that everywhere. And CNN Int'l on TV is about 50% MORE liberal (and FAR FAR less for Israel) than our CNN ever DREAMT of being, and that is going some. What should we EXPECT?

Palin is, as I like to say, "like a cross to a vampire" ("Get that light out of my eyes!!") and though I adore my European friends and would live in Paris or Germany again in a heartbeat, the elitists hate anything remotely 'too American'..like "Bush the cowboy".

Funny, I was thinking today, it's WE who save them from having big military budgets because it's WE who have paid for and fought their battles. Let's see how much they like Obama when he's bled US dry militarily let alone anything left to save Kosovo or tsunamis or Bosnia, Kuwait, etc...

Because the Europeans and Americans hate Bush so much they are willing to be duped by Obamahyype. That one word "change" has fooled them all.

I also think Europe and the rest of the world sense Obama will be weak, and many would like to see the U.S. fall.

I hope we NEVER get as liberal as most of Europe is. I probably only have 20 years left in this lifetime, I hope I can hold onto my sanity for that long because they are driving me CRAZY! I really feel sorry for the younger generations.

The only reason Obama is favored by so many around the world is because the media only promote him there.

Mr. Z's son ought know what socialism is like, over in Europe, everyone's got their hand in his pocket. :)

My kids were so upset about Obama's infomercial. They grew up in Venezuela, where Chavez regularly takes over all the airwaves. Seeing Obama on all the channels was like a night mare!
