Obama..........will ANYTHING ever stick?

I was inspired to do this blog when a friend emailed me suggesting that maybe some 11th hour surprise will finally expose Obama for the man we think he is and he'd be completely, finally vanquished. NO win. NOBODY could vote for him because this "THING" he did was SO compelling, convicting, and so completely irrefutable.

We know his background hasn't been vetted completely, we know his books talk about his greatly resenting Whites, we know his wife doesn't love this country, we know he was instrumental in the Fanny Mae crisis, we know his 'scholarship' at Harvard has never been explained, we know nobody gets offered a publishing contract for memoirs at the age of 24 with a trip to lie on the beach 'just to write', we know with certainty that nobody sits in a church for twenty years and doesn't know what his good friend and 'uncle figure' is really about, we know he's used the race card while blaming McCain who never once has, we know this man's got such hubris that he'd go campaign in Europe!, we know his birth certificate deserves some scrutiny, we know how he became State senator with ACORN's help.....we know SO many things that you'd think might sink into the brains of honest voters, wouldn't you? Taken all together? Maybe NONE of these objections is really viable..prove it to us, PLEASE? But, nobody's listening, right? So, I got to thinking; WHAT WOULD MAKE VOTERS REALLY SIT UP AND TAKE NOTICE?

I thought it might be fun...what would Obama have to do to FINALLY get people to ask "WHAAA...?"

WHAT COULD/WOULD OBAMA HAVE TO HAVE DONE OR DO NOW THAT WOULD KNOCK HIS CANDIDACY OUT OF THE WATER? (unless ACORN can conjure up enough dead people to vote that he'd STILL get elected, that is)

But, ya, THAT Frank!!!!

Unless McCain makes some NOISE about these things it won't matter. He has a megaphone and he's better use it!

I agree with Morgan. Any of those things you listed ought to be enough if people were only made aware of them, but it's all stuck in the blogs and conservative sites. I'm convinced few are hearing these things and it's been driving me crazy that I never hear anything about them on the MSM. McCain should get it out.

I'm starting to worry a lot about Ohio. I think this state is key to McCain winning and I think the Dems are going to steal it with Acorns help. The GOP better get on this now.

I can only think of one possibility, and that is only going through an entire list of do-over’s. We already know what doesn’t matter:
1. His racism
2. His belief in black separatism
3. His belief that whites infected blacks with HIV
4. Subscribe to g-d America sermons
5. Perpetuate fraudulent voter registration as an agent of ACORN
6. Be an acolyte of un-American Saul Alinsky
7. Affiliate with former SDS members (domestic terrorists)
8. Surround himself with disgraced Fannie Mae executives
9. Receive campaign donations from illegal foreign sources, including terrorists
10. Promise to take our money and give it to someone else
11. Factual misrepresentations (lies) about his tax policies
12. Ignore concerns about falsified birth records
13. Refuse to release any academic records—it’s none of our business.

The only possible event left is an assassination attempt on VP Cheney . . . but come to think about it, he might skate from that one too.

Never mind, JM. The tomato thing might do it.

Given the blind support that the media and his disciples, that's a very good question Z.

Seriously, where did Obama's money come from? This question seems to be appearing now about his round the world trip in 1981, his college tuition, his money for law school, his money for property, etc. It seems a fair question to me and one that no one can answer --or can they? If so, please do.

At this point he could get caught rolling a marijuana cigarette out of an American flag and smoking it on the White House lawn with Osama Bin Laden and he would get a pass from the koolaid media elite.

Mustang....did you say CHESTNUT HILL? That sounds oddly familiar to me.......hmmmm

Morgan's right: Any TWO of these things (at least?!) should be enough for Americans with any brains to say "WAIT A MINUTE!" but the media's SO complicit in the coverup they scorn and ridicule if you even ASK TO HAVE IT INVESTIGATED, right?

McCain MUST SPEAK UP!! HE's pulling a darned GEO BUSH! Remember when he said "ya, okaaaay..the Gore people ruined all the keyboards when we moved into the WH by removing all the W keys, but we're going to let it go and try to be friendly in Washington!" WHERE DID THAT GET REPUBLICANS? WHERE DID IT GET AMERICA>??!!

Tomato...Oprah....all GREAT!

I think WV won, though...."probably if he was found to be a closet Republican!" That cross before vampires again.

THAT would PROBABLY do it!!!! LOVE you guys, what GREAT answers, I am really enjoying this thread!!

So, NOW we know why Obama is suddenly so anxious to disassociate himself from everything related to ACORN. His career as a Community Organizer, we will soon learn, was actually established through other sources. Yep. He never even heard of this group called ACORN. s/o

Ahem. I believe Obama's background as a `Community Organizer` is the CAREER which qualifies this candidate for presidency of the United States of America.

Barack Obama wants to turn Sarah Palin into a punchline. But that is not going to work.. Now tith this lady!
As for the debate, Palin showed she could stand toe to toe with Joe Biden, a man who has been in the Senate since I was a kid. Biden is the problem and has never ventured from his hard left positions. Palin comes across as fresh, hopeful and future looking. Biden is the sad past.

None of your laundry list of familiar anti-Obama rightwing smears will matter on November 4. Perhaps if he calls Palin a pig wearing lipstick. Oh, I forgot, they already said he did that and it didn’t stick.

Promising to give Al Gore a Cabinet-level post to fight climate change? But he’s already done that according to the Associated Press.

Claiming to be a decent fellow? Everyone, at least on the right, will know he’s lying.

Nothing else comes to mind. I guess we’re stuck. With Obama.

Pray that, whether we choose McCain (the Great Right Hope) or Obama (the one whom Rush mockingly calls The Messiah, and who the right thinks is the Antichrist), God is looking out for us.

Perhaps if we could get some Guantanamo Bay detainee to testify by means of enhanced techniques that Osama bin Laden told him that he saw Barack Obama in a schoolyard when he was a kid in Indonesia and realized his potential for leadership.

On the stump, after the vice presidential debate, Obama referred to “Senator Palin” before correcting himself by calling her Governor Palin.

It was broadcast on CNN. If Fox can get the tape of this, and heavily hype this gaffe, it may bring Obama down. If he can make an ordinary mistake like that, he cannot be The Messiah that the faithful are waiting for.

Beth said...

Nothing "stuck" with Bill Clinton.

Z said...

No, psi bond. FOX doesn't even report gaffes that are obviously troubling, like Obama talking about hoping he can get to all 57 states, when it's islam which has 57 states. .
FOX has gone soft, too, as most people know.
I know Arabs bought into FOX and the coverage hasn't been the same since. Thankfully, the Conservative editorialists are still there. Maybe when the Left rids America of the final vestige of a Conservative outlet, most talk radio, FOX will be off the air, or pro socialism, too.

No, nobody's really reporting ANY of the Obama story, the gaffes, nothing, really.
"Senator Palin"? I hadn't heard that, of course. And nobody but me reminded anybody he referred to McCain as TOM, either. It was bad enough Obama had so little class as to refer to McCain as JOHN, when people of dignity don't do that.
I was sorry Palin asked Biden if she could call him "JOE" when they first met on the stage. I thought that was wrong, too. Letterman thinks she's intelligent and cunning enough to have asked him that just to set him up and knock him off his fame. For someone who treated her with such disdain last night, it's amazing he'd give her that much credit!!
Last night on Letterman, America was treated to ONE LONG OBAMA CAMPAIGN COMMERCIAL. I'm hoping more saw it here than I did and wish I'd taken notes.
One after the other, they edited new Palin collages fitting words which she never said together into really awful sentences which caused her to 'say' things that were utterly stupid and which caused David not a little bit of hilarity.
Followed by the 'ever so neutral' guest, Brian Williams and then, Tim Robbins, because of whom I finally had to turn the television off. I didn't even wait to see his face....
When Brian Williams chides Letterman for treating Palin "like a pinata", you know it was bad; and THEN, once Williams gained brownie points with the audience for having faked fairness (most of whom cheered loudly, finally, in an apparent protest against Letterman for having treated her like a pinata which kind of stunned me), went on to insult her just the same. You see, he's not had an interview with her yet and had to appear somewhat fair in that attempt.

No, psi bond. EVERY liberal should be ashamed that you're electing a president that you know very well we don't know enough about. A candidate the media's this dishonest about...
.
I'm sorry you lack the intellectual curiosity, because had you read his books, you'd realize what he really is.

We've raised people who are not curious, we've raised two generations now of people who want equality before liberty.

I grieve. The only good thing now is that I'm resigned to Obama ruining our great country. It's better for the psyche to just give in..kind of fits his Marxist dream, now that I think of it!! Subdue the masses. I used to take offense at your comments, now I just find them typical, hackneyed, and well supported by like minded people; thankfully, I am not one of them.

Hmmm.

There's a recent poll that suggests that one-third of white DemoKKKrats harbor racist sentiments and will not vote for Obama.

The math on the back of my envelope says:

65% of the DemoKKKratic Party's 72 million registered members (or 46.8 million) are white.

One-third of 46.8 million is 15.6 million white racist DemoKKKrats.

15.6 million of 72 million is a sizable chunk of total registered DemoKKKrats - 21.7%.

Obama is going to lose because slightly more than 1 out of 5 registered DemoKKKrats are racist ass clowns.

As for God "looking out for us," I don't think He's abandoned us completely, yet, but if Obama wins there's no doubt it's part of the judgment the nation has been coming under since 9/11. Ironically Our best chance this election may just be Bill & Hill. We know that they really don't want Obama to win and they just may be what we need to sabotage him.
People need to investigate a candidate before voting, we have only heard his birth certificate is a forgery..why is that? His associations are either Muslims like Rezko or criminals. Why should we have a president we know so little about? a very strange background, it’s not safe. America is too precious to hand over to the first good speaker, what a stupid reason to vote for him. Obama has one interesting mentor (he is dead) he read his book “rules for radicals”, Alinsky is considered an Obama mentor. ACORN a thuggery group forging votes. And of course we have Rev. Wright..and the list goes on.

psi bond said...

No, psi bond. FOX doesn't even report gaffes that are obviously troubling, like Obama talking about hoping he can get to all 57 states, when it's islam which has 57 states. .

Yes, Z, gaffes are what a candidate is truly thinking. Palin referred on the stump to the Palin-McCain administration and mistook the name of the U.S. general in Afghanistan. In her favor, she can’t see Afghanistan from her house. Obama once in Oregon said he had visited s certain number of the states and added shakily that he had five or six to go. Perhaps he was including U.S. territories, like Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Northern Marianas. But you may be right, in your mind at least–––he was thinking of Islamic states that he had campaigned in.

Far from soft, Fox has played a major role in the McCain camp’s strategy of shielding Palin from the media. The two softball interviews by Sean Hannity and Carl Cameron should go a long way to convincing those who can be convinced that she is doing authentic media interviews.

No, nobody's really reporting ANY of the Obama story, the gaffes, nothing, really.
"Senator Palin"? I hadn't heard that, of course.

It was on CNN. On MSNBC. too. Fox needs to pick that up and amplify it into a major news story to bring him down–––or else, get a Guantanamo detainee to confess or report that he confessed (and the MSM is covering it up) that bin Laden told him he know Obama as a boy.

And nobody but me reminded anybody he referred to McCain as TOM, either.

That’s because you are wrong. No one who checks the transcript can rationally believe Obama referred to McCain as TOM.

It was bad enough Obama had so little class as to refer to McCain as JOHN, when people of dignity don't do that. I was sorry Palin asked Biden if she could call him "JOE" when they first met on the stage. I thought that was wrong, too.

You apparently have a different definition of dignity than I do. Palin referred to Biden as Joe. And Biden referred to McCain as John. I guess everyone except you lacks “class” in your humble opinion.

Letterman thinks she's intelligent and cunning enough to have asked him that just to set him up and knock him off his fame. For someone who treated her with such disdain last night, it's amazing he'd give her that much credit!!

I didn’t see Letterman. I’m sorry I missed it. But it occurred to me, too, that he set Joe up. I don’t doubt that her line “Say it ain’t so, Joe” was prepared in advance and well-rehearsed. But Biden has good humor–––he smiled broadly at that punch line. But I’m sure you will say his smile was feigned, like his choking up with authentic emotion, which you find contemptible.

I did read the Top Ten list of things overheard in the McCain camp. No. 1: "Any way we can just get Tina Fey to do it?" This is humor at its finest. Don’t shield yourself. Humor is funny. We need more of it. I haven’t seen “American Carol” yet, but I plan to.

You see, he's not had an interview with her yet and had to appear somewhat fair in that attempt.

I’m sorry Letterman caused you so much pain, but there’s no point whining about satire, Z. Did you see the SNL re-enactment of the VP debate? Biden and Palin became equal-opportunity satirical targets.

I don’t think the McCain camp will let Palin go on the Letterman show. I even doubt they will let O’Reilly interview her. They don’t want the voters to know how she reacts without a script or a softball interviewer.

No, psi bond. EVERY liberal should be ashamed that you're electing a president that you know very well we don't know enough about. A candidate the media's this dishonest about...

Liberals are not electing him They are voting for him and have no reason to be ashamed of their votes. I am not ashamed of my vote, which will be for Obama (in case anyone doesn’t know).
.
I'm sorry you lack the intellectual curiosity, because had you read his books, you'd realize what he really is.

You're assuming I haven’t read his books. Wrong. In addition, I have read a couple of books authored by others about him. My final interpretation of their contents differs from that of those who believe Obama is the Antichrist and lack the intellectual curiosity to reflect on him in any other light.

We've raised people who are not curious, we've raised two generations now of people who want equality before liberty.

There you go again with the brainwashing theory, Z. I want equality of opportunity in a free country, not equality per se. Please spare me the clichéd rightwing talking points.

You preach as though Fox is not aggressively making the case every day and night for your candidates. And one cannot forget el Rushbo and the rest of rightwing talk radio. They and Fox boast of the largest audience. If two generations now have been brainwashed, why is roughly half the country supporting McCain and Palin?

I grieve.

I groove.

The only good thing now is that I'm resigned to Obama ruining our great country.

With the consent of the governed. I and many others think Bush has already ruined this country.

It's better for the psyche to just give in..kind of fits his Marxist dream, now that I think of it!! Subdue the masses.

The financial industry is already nationalized by Republicans. The McCain campaign is also promising change to America that people want.

I used to take offense at your comments, now I just find them typical, hackneyed, and well supported by like minded people; thankfully, I am not one of them.

I never meant to give offense. But never mind your wrong-headedness; I grieve your newfound professed submissiveness. You have overdosed on anti-Obama cant from rightwing pundits and like-minded people. I have to say I remember back in the golden days when rightwingers would fight–––to the death if necessary. Give me the old right, who disdained everyone not like themselves. Someone to argue against.

The bottom line is: I believe Americans are good people who will choose their president wisely.

That they can choose a president wisely when they are not getting the truth about the Democrat candidates is a little naive and probably deliberately optimistic, however.

Of course that can't happen.

I would just ask myself why only one party wants FELONS to vote and is working so hard for that now.

Farrakhan and Felons...just the type of people I'd want to be casting my vote with...

Is voting the same way Farrakhan and felons and homeless and kids in college and Jeremiah 'God Da*n America', and Ayers and entitlement seekers and others a good feeling?

Funny, it wouldn't be for me. No.

Z: Psi Bond. Nobody thinks Americans aren't mostly good people.
That they can choose a president wisely when they are not getting the truth about the Democrat candidates is a little naive and probably deliberately optimistic, however.

It is disingenuous or naïve to pretend there is no significant distinction between the facts alleged by partisan groups about a candidate and deliberated opinions evaluating his candidacy. Or between vicious smears and facts. Or between misconstrued misinformation and facts. Or between the cynical manipulations of the facts and plain facts. Or between William Ayers of the 60s and 70s and Barack Obama. I don’t go along with the rightwing theory that Americans are easily led or have been brainwashed for generations, which indicates that eight years of Bush was dumb luck for Republicans. I trust in Americans to see through it and choose wisely all in all. That is to say, I believe in America–––if that is overly optimistic and naïve, call me naïve and overly optimistic.

Of course that can't happen.

With Fox, the most watched cable news channel, broadcasting virtually 24/7 every allegation and misrepresentation that can possibly cast Obama in a bad light, reiterating them endlessly, and criticizing McCain only for being too soft on Obama, that can happen, of course. After all, we must never forget: Obama did say the words: “TOM or John”. In a perfect world that would surely be sufficient to do him in, wouldn’t it?

And Fox is providing the McCain campaign at no cost with a series of handholding interviews for Sarah Palin to evade the probing questions that intellectually curious Americans want answered.

I would just ask myself why only one party wants FELONS to vote and is working so hard for that now.

There is no rational reason to suppose that no felons are Republicans. Convicted felons who have paid their debt to society should not be punished further. I believe in redemption for convicted felons who have served their time. So do many states in the Union.

Farrakhan and Felons...just the type of people I'd want to be casting my vote with... .

I do not share your exclusionary inclination. How I vote shall have nothing to do with how others may vote that you or I disapprove of.

Is voting the same way Farrakhan and felons and homeless and kids in college and Jeremiah 'God Da*n America', and Ayers and entitlement seekers and others a good feeling? .

Is it a good feeling, Z, to put college kids in the same category as Farrakhan and felons? Is it an élitist feeling that you enjoy to despise all the ill-fated homeless, who, you seem to believe, will all vote one way? The homeless, of course, must include those who have lost their homes in hurricanes and tornadoes, as well as from home foreclosures and other personal tragedies.

Funny, it wouldn't be for me. No. .

No, I don’t doubt that you are quite comfortable voting the same way as are likely to vote John Hagee, David Duke, abortion clinic bombers, church members who have burned Harry Potter books, white supremacists, creationism activists, those who believe there’s nothing wrong with the world that a few nukes can’t fix, those who are for profits no matter what the cost to society, JoeSixpecks, jockey mums That is what’s funny to me, Z.

I haven't read your whole screed but I glanced and saw the part about FOX!
After all I've pointed out, you still will not allow yourself to see the truth?
I know it's hard to imagine, but FOX ALWAYS has both sides of everything....in fact, several of their news people are liberals; Geraldo (if you call him 'news'), Shepherd Smith, Carl Cameron has done a very biased job, Alan Colmes. THere are two men who work together, Fred Barnes and MOrton Kondrake....Barnes is the Conservative..They appear on Britt Humes' excellent panel (FOX always includes liberals, CNN's after-debate shows don't have ANY...six people in Obama's bag makes for dull and rather silly viewing,I've watched it)....Well, kondrake's starting to see the scariness of his own party and he's been asked by Hume to please represent the Lib side a little more vehemently, like he used to. SO, the other day, I noticed he wasn't there and they have the liberal FOX contributor, Kristen Powers on that show more often now. That's FOX....all the sides, equally represented. (I know this story because I know a woman who had dinner with Barnes recently...the reason for the insertion of Powers into the Hume show is my observation)

There is NOT ONE CNN host who's not liberal. NOT ONE. I find that astonishing and intellectually dishonest. As a matter of fact, that video of John Voight on my site made me laugh out loud there at the end. The CNN journalist, SO peeved at not hearing the normal pablum, actually starts to rebut Voight with "to be FAIR..." What I'd have said were I Voight, would have been "FAIR? NOW you want both sides because someone's actually daring to make Obama look bad!?" It's hilarious...I hope you treat yourself. Lots to learn!

Just keep making your assumptions on what you THINK, what CNN and NPR and Michael Moore have told you...most of our populace is exactly that way. That's why Obama will win. trust me.

this assertion of yours is just plain uninformed. Do your homework.

psi bond said...

Maybe not to you, but it’s clear to me that Beltway Boy and “All-Star” panelist Mort Kondracke and reporter Carl Cameron are not liberals. Kondracke usually tries to find a middle position between right and left as an independent, and Cameron always spins the stories he reports so conservatives appear to come out ahead. Fred Barnes and William Kristol are strident rightwingers. Regular liberal voices on Fox are usually subdued. The token liberal Juan Williams, rarely seen on the panel lately, often agrees with O’Reilly. Williams was saying today what message McCain should convey in tomorrow’s debate, and it was very good advice. McCain should take him up on it. O’Reilly often has on a rightwing guest with whom he can point angry fingers at liberals, with no liberal guest for balance. If a liberal tries to insist on making a point, he can get his mike cut off. Liberals are used as window dressing at Fox, for the dominant message that is intended to come out of each political program is unmistakably rightwing.

The truth is the McCain campaign will not let Palin go on the Sunday morning talk shows and other interview venues that other politicians regularly appear on. They don’t trust her to answer off-the-cuff any questions about national and international policies. But they will let her go on Fox for serial interviews. They know that Fox will not ask the probing questions to which intellectually curious Americans legitimately expect answers. For Fox has launched political shows on Sunday, the Mike Huckabee show and Hannity’s America (an America without Alan Colmes or any other liberal) that focus on aggressively attacking liberals as though they were a threat to the security of the United States, which is what you said you believe. And if Palin loses, as seems increasingly likely despite her sleazy campaigning, she knows she always has a home at Fox. For Fox does not report the fact that the evangelical pastor whose prayers she credits with helping her become governor boasts of his skill as a scourge of witches.

Too often liberals appearing on Fox become nothing but props to shout down and talk over or mock. Fox makes a cynical show of being fair and balanced, but it is really the difference between style and substance. Someone like you who equates college students with convicted felons and Louis Farrakhan–––I don’t expect her to perceive the distinction.

The massive anti-Obama disinformation, innuendoes, and blurred distinctions that Fox repeats, often unopposed, will get worse as McCain slips in the polls. There is no classroom for this, no homework. It’s a woolly world and you just have to keep your eyes open. I may be naïve to trust in America, as you suggest, but I am not naïve enough to believe Fox fair and balanced.
