VOTE DEMOCRAT, kids! (there's ice cream in it if you do:-)

From THIS article "Three van loads of Hughes High students were taken last week – during school hours – to vote and given sample ballots only for Democratic candidates and then taken for ice cream, a Monday lawsuit alleges."

Yes, I KNOW that the kids can't vote, let's not waste time commenting on that ..... please let's not obfuscate the facts.  "The suit alleges three van loads of Hughes High students arrived at the Downtown Board of Elections offices at 1 p.m. Wednesday, supervised by a school employee. School lets out at 3:15 p.m.
When they got out of the vans, the students, the suit alleges, also were accompanied by adults who appeared to be campaign workers or supporters for U.S. Rep. Steve Driehaus, D-West Price Hill, the congressman being challenged this fall by Steve Chabot. When the students got out of the vans, the suit alleges they were given sample ballots containing only Democratic candidates."

Think this is a good idea?  We do want kids to see precincts and sample ballots, but do we need to only show one party on the ballots?  Does this teach or mind bend?  There's a suit filed, this has yet to be proven, but the evidence is pretty clear.  Also, who'd go to the authorities without a sample ballot in hand?
If you think this is innocent, tell us here at geeeZ why you think they'd only have ballots with Democrats on them, okay?  Thanks.

I'd say it could get interesting and should get national airing, but, with our media, this story will go away with the rest of them which make the Dems look bad; heck, even Gloria Allred bitched that Hillary voters were intimidated in Houston during the '08 primary!  By the way, what got her to quiet down??  She was angry, speaking out, and now the story.......disappeared, like MAGIC!

lower the voting age to 5

More ballot-box corruption from the political party with a long, long history of corruption.

Beamish,
I was thinking if the law requires employers to provide health insurance to children of employees up to age 26, we should raise the voting age to 27.

This is a great argument AGAINST early voting programs.

Speedy, not sure that they meant THAT kind of 'early voting', but I'm against BOTH of them!
(good one, speedy)

Those students have no more common sense than their union 'teachers', so if they want them to have the 'experience' of voting just set up a ballot box in the auditorium, complete with poll watchers & commisioners, have a slate of student candidates, some pap-filled speeches, a few absentee ballots, run 'em through the drill, then take them to the cafeteria for ice cream. The 'teachers' brains are as full of mush as the kids. Maybe even more.

P.s. I'm going to vote absentee today, as I am planning to go to the Left Coast soon.

Ice cream first then welfare checks.

This is a wonderful society the Dems want for us.

Everything people like Ducky touch turns to crap.

SilvrLady, sorry you have to vote Absentee, but you have a good reason to.
Please, everyone, IF YOU CAN AVOID IT, they expect fraud with those and try not to!

As for the way you describe exposing kids to the voting procedure, that's all fine, but I'd settle for just having a ballot that represents both sides! :-)

I guess the Democrats have finally recruited the candy van driving pedophiles to show them how it's done.

Early voting in Maryland starts this Friday. I'd be interested in seeing the statistics on who votes early to see if there is a preponderance of Democrats and/or unionized public sector employees.

Joe,I just don't see any upside to the early voting.
I can't believe we don't have voting on a weekend, a Saturday, like they do in Europe, so everyone can vote.

This is voter fraud. Period.

But no one, no matter how old, should vote without knowing the issues. It's not just about the kids; there are plenty of seniors who vote democrat because they've always voted democrat!

cube, imagine American kids being handed DEMOCRAT ONLY ballots? They're learning the worst in America, not the best! "Learning experience" or not, that should not have happened.

Re people who vote without knowing the issues; how about our own government whose politicians vote now without reading the BILL!?

The sample ballots couldn't have been legitimate unless they were for the primary.

No real sample ballot for the general election would have only one party on it.

Eighteen year old HS kids are eligible to vote if they're registered.

Finally, when I was eighteen, the promise of ice cream wouldn't have done it for me. I wouldn't have gone in the first place.

Something about this story doesn't ring true to me. Did I miss something?

"...don't realize that their brothers and sisters who were born and raised here and whose parents are willing to pay won't have slots open to them..."

Good i hope it does happen to them, the time for liberals to start paying the consequences of their stupidity and irresponsibility is long overdue.
