The American Eagle represents..............US
I just got a bunch of animal cartoons like this....the captions were included. I got to thinking about the picture and thought it would work if we insert "BARACK" in the caption for "Ted" (or leave Ted, if Senator Kennedy's tactics don't work for you, either). No aspersion to the beautiful white kitties, but I couldn't resist.............."Uh, Barack, I wouldn't..... mess with AMERICANS too much"

Why don't you open the picture up in Microsoft Paint and change it?
If you've got Windows, you've got Paint in the "accessories" with notepad and calculator.
I'll turn you into a graphics wizard yet!
Great cartoon.
Saw a Bald Eagle while camping this weekend. Even though we are seeing them more and more in Michigan, I still love the site of one flying overhead.
FJ, it's a miracle enough I can manage this blog (with Elbro's help!)...ME, a GRAPHICS WIZARD?
THAT'll be the day!! xx
Chuck, I'd love to see one in person.
Sweet picture.
Guess we take it for granted. I see one a few times a year now.
Couple of years ago we were in northern Michigan on Lake Huron and came around a bathroom building at the beach and saw one on a sign about 50 feet away, they are beautiful.
who? Me? I don't do anything with pictures....LOL
Z,
When I was stationed in Denver in the early 70s, my wife and my friends and I went to the mountains many times. Seeing an eagle flying in the mountains, spectacular.
Interestingly, Ben Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird as he said the eagle was scavenger and unworthy of being the national bird. Now the turkey has a very different connotation, eh?
I have always enjoyed famous and historic quotes. They relay much of what history has archived and what is in our future.
Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, following the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941:
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."
Applicable then. And applicable now, don't you think?
BZ
Steve, you ROCKED with pictures on your latest post..everybody ought to go see them!
Chuck, Law&Order, I've never seen a bald eagle in person but we used to get geese over my childhood home here in LA, beautiful V's of them, and we loved to hear them so high up, the sound was wonderful...we'd all run outside to see them when we were little.
BZ..absolutely; I just hope the sleeping giant includes enough American kids who've not been too totally indoctrinated to understand the true America and how great she CAN BE.
Shoprat; I love cats, and they are WAY too smart to be leftwingers! keeeerekt!
Obama is poised and ready to pounce.
My wife and I are cat folks. Dogs are too obedient, followers, etc. even though they're cute.
Cats are mysterious, more spiritual in what they've represented across civilizations (Egypt).
"Liberals" want us the be the pets of the government. When it can't pay for us if we're sick, like we're doing with some pets, it can just put us to sleep. Of course after taking to our vet, oops, our doctor.
obama the cat to biden the cat: "Pass the catnip. The eagle has landed".
Changing the silent cat to black and having the other cat call him Barack would be a great idea, Z. I'll be gone most of today but I'll snatch this picture and mess arround with it. I'm no graphics expert either, but I may be able to do it. If so, I'll send it to you.
Speaking of cats, we have a long hair and a short hair here. This morning the long haired cat was meowing and hissing, making a terrible ruckus. I found both cats on a chair, the short hair with his paw on the neck of the other cat and he looked up at me all wide-eyed and innocent. Only problem was he had a shock of her hair hanging out of his mouth. Reminded me of crooked politicians caught with their hands in the cookie jar. LOL!
Hmmm, two white cats.
This picture of the eagle reminded me of something I read a few years ago and it seem to be even more revelant to this hour.
The Eagle & the Serpent
I knew that Duck would play the race card.
Ted certainly has arrogance in abundance to even think about taking on that eagle. It does remind me of someone.
Since we have a river a few miles away, we see hawks all the time and, every now and then, an eagle.
marcel, that is a reason to 'be stirred'. I'll never stop believing this country was founded on more than 'just' the sweat of our wonderful forefathers' brows. thanks for that.
Always, thanks, I didn't even understand the two white cats line; I do now. This is the new leftwing mantra
"Most Americans hate the healthcare overhaul and how it will change America and break us financially and most Americans hate being lied to about it SO we must be RACIST" WOW. And there's Ducky right there in it....I should have realized.
Z,
This one I read in 2005 really struck me and I have been watching and waiting and dreading the day we decide to Bloclade Iran.
I really thought it was going to be under President Bush
Naval Blockade-Iran
This Stratfors report on their inability to get anything out of the Russians related to Iran gives me more cause to watch this blockade scenario which seems to be approaching.
Hypothesizing on the Iran-Russia-U.S. Triangle
Gog and Magog, Marcel. Gog and Magog.??
