No wonder the left's against him

He LOVES AMERICA ....he's like LIGHT in the DARKNESS: (have Kleenex close):

Listen carefully to this and see his sincerity and love for this country and why.   We need to bring this sentiment back and we can.    Vote for your candidates who are like Rubio..(if you're lucky enough to find one).......America deserves it.

I really don't get it. Here we have a Cuban immigrant who is given automatic benefits in America while others from the same region will be tagged "illegals" and he doesn't see the irony.

He's supporting policies that are increasing income disparity and lowering social mobility but he talks about "freedom".

He doesn't seem to understand that after FDR carefully engineered that we would be the last economy standing coming out of WW II that a combination of Vietnam and Raygun squandered "The American Century" in a matter of 20 years.

He seems completely oblivious to the facts on the ground. That's probably why the left isn't thrilled with him.

Get out of your rear end Ducky. He was born in the US so he is a citizen and he can actually run for president.

He doesn't seem to understand that after FDR carefully engineered that we would be the last economy standing coming out of WW II

What a moron you are. Did you realize the US didn't get bombs on its soil during WW2 and could feed Europe afterwards?

Remind us what FDR did with the Japanese.

You really are a retard.

And obviously I meant the continental US.

Carefully engineered or not, I kinda thought FDR was the one to give us a big push toward govt-directed socialism?

Duckfarts....his parent were Cuban immigrants who came here legally to escape the monstrous political oppression and murderous rampage of Cuba by your beloved bearded one, Fidel.

We welcomed Cubans to emigrate here legally with open arms to escape Communism, which IS political oppression. Not economic....like our illegals from Mexico and central America.

While being poor and illiterate may touch our hearts...our purse strings cannot afford to feed, clothe or employ billions of people all over this world who are impoverished. That is not reason enough to come here....illegally.

All the Cubans I've know and met...are largely successful, industrious, capitalists and entrepreneurs who have made huge contributions to America.

Not like the parasites who leech off our largess for generations.

His parents took nothing from the government. You obviously didn't listen or watch the video.

For you...the only ones you can empathize with.....are those who stupidly and continually vote for and follow the "D" ( ditch) road to institutional slavery and a lifetime of poverty.

America....the most generous nation on the planet....gives 75% of all charity.

Craig and Heather said...

Ducky doesn't like cubans if they're not Fidel supporter.

We know a lady whose family escaped Cuban oppression. It is interesting to note how those who have experienced the contrast between American freedom and the lack of with "brand x" society do seem to appreciate so much what they have here.

Americans who are clamoring for more govt oversight don't have any idea what they are asking for.

What's wrong with simply encouraging personal responsibility?

Ducky, "I don't get it" Marco RUbio was born here, why would he be tagged "illegal"? :-)
You need to get 'to the facts on the ground'.

FB....I see you addressed that, too, now that I read down the comments...good..and good on your other comments.

Hi Heather! Yes, I would have thought that's what Ducky's about, FDR ALL THE WAY...give it to them for free, who needs 'social mobility' based on performance!?

Anon, you're right. I have known many Cubans (all are Republican, by the way)...they stand for self reliance, they aren't on our dole and they're very good people.

Speedy, I thought so, too..just wonderfully inspirational.

Spare us the government cheese Mr. Ducky. Obama and FDR are nothing more then a bunch of experimenters.

You've obviously have forgotten the recession of 1946 and the only thing that turned it around was a return to conservative economic principles.

You know I am a juggler, and I never let my right hand know what my left hand does. I'm perfectly willing to mislead and tell untruths...FDR, May 1941 (Morgan p 550)

That's the same FDR who failed as a lawyer without a degree.

He broke every campaign promise he had made and the economic plan was exactly the opposite of what he had promised.

FDR was the same man who said,

"I propose to you that the government, big and little, be made solvent and that the example be set by the President of the United States and his cabinet...Stop the deficits! Stop the deficits!" He made a flat promise to "reduce the cost of government operations 25 percent" and called for a sound gold currency. Instead he engaged in an orgy of spending and implemented the first twelve planks of the Socialist Party platform, which in substance was economic plan.

In his first year he proposed spending 10 billion on 3 billion of revenues. Government expenditures went up more than 83 percent. He closed all banks with no intention or thought of ever re-opening them (banks are not needed in Marxist economics). After two years his economic plan was such a failure through waste, mismanagement and outright graft that he had to introduce a "New” economic plan. The plan has been called 'a study in economic confusion.'

The Supreme Court unanimously ruled his National Recovery Administration, the centerpiece of his economic plan, unconstitutional (Schechter v US). The NRA was a total assault on free enterprise. Industry was to be straight jacketed into government-mandated cartels given the authority to set prices, determine production levels, and regulate the workplace.

The Supreme Court ruled his Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA) unconstitutional (US v Butler). This was the program that plowed crops under and senselessly slaughtered millions of animals at a cost of $700,000,000 over two years. By cutting corn production the US had to import 30 million bushels from abroad. The Supreme Court ruled the AAA was "a central government exercising uncontrolled police power in every state of the union."

The British Leninist theoretician R. Palme Dutt published a scathing analysis of the economic plan "social fascism" - as the reality of fascism cloaked with a thin veneer of populist demagogy. The policy, wrote Dutt, was to impose a State monopoly capitalism through the NRA, to subsidize business, banking, and agriculture through inflation and the partial expropriation of the mass of the people through lower real-wage rates and to the regulation and exploitation of labor by means of government-fixed wages and compulsory arbitration. Dutt wrote this economic plan is stripped of its "social-reformist progressive camouflage," the reality is a new Fascist type of system of concentrated State capitalism and industrial servitude.

This president sent observers to Italy to learn how to implement Fascism in America is that the left at the time believed that Fascism was a midpoint between capitalism and Soviet-style Communism, that it was a large and useful step. They believed by converting capitalism to Fascism and then Fascism to Communism, violent revolution was unnecessary.

The end of the war brought a decrease in federal spending and tax cuts and the repeal of the Smoot-Hawley tariffs. All these changes combined to pull the nation’s economy out of its long and painful slide, and all could have been made without the war. Similar changes made now could restore the world’s economy without the massive human suffering that, in their absence, is all but inevitable. Inevitable, yet so avoidable and so unnecessary.

Ducky, Cubans who risked everything to come here were granted Sanctuary. You got that?

Not because they needed money, but because they were fleeing a communist takeover which threatened their lives.

Rubio was born here, and is an American.

The left isn't thrilled with him? Of course they aren't, he loves America! Excuse me while I laugh, you're so out of it. I love how you just skipped right over Carter and the disaster he was.

Back to Rubio, who is so impressive. He knows from his parent's history, and his first generation as an American what opportunity as a free man in this country means.

Sometimes Ducky, I pity you. Today is one of those days.

Anon..thanks, I'm glad you had kept that! What's WITH the left? FDR got lionized for ...what? For starting an entitlement mentality in a country which NEVER EVER accepted that kind of thinking? IMMIGRANTS weren't even of that mind years ago..they came because they were PROUD to learn English, to produce, to raise children in AMERICA!
it's the darned LEFT who's screwed things up, who's welcomed illegals and now are leading them into voting without citizenship...just so these ridiculous welfare entitlement things can get WORSE and we'll sink down to oblivion instead of being the world power we've been, since being GREAT embarrasses our left.
Ya, they laud FDR and demonize McCarthy, who was absolutely right on so much of what he tried to do..but, somehow, our history's rewritten SO cunningly and so many people believe the leftwing lies.

Heather, good, I'm glad you're not gone.

Pris, "they hate him because he loves America" is right; his words brought tears to my eyes, and they seem to bring bile to Ducky's lefty throat.
To compare illegal Central Americans to most Cubans is stupid and worthy of scorn ; it shows no grasp of history and no grasp of the definitions of GOOD CHARACTER.

Why does anyone give "D" any credibility by arguing with him. He is a moron who only comes to our blogs to try to get attention he is obviously lacking in other parts of his life. Ignore him and he will crawl back into his hole.
The main reason I can see for the left to hate Marco is that he is Hispanic and is not marching in lock step with the Democratic machine. He is actually educated and understands freedom and capitalism.

Ducky: I know Marco Rubio. Marco Rubio is my friend.

Your opening paragraph reveals your true nature: you form opinions without facts, you draw conclusions illogically, and you don't know your mouth from your posterior.

You are a typical leftist who cares not one whit for what is right, what is pure or what is true.

You read philosophies that are warped and then apply them to American life as though they have some relevance.

You should be ashamed, but you don't have either the grace or the wisdom to be so.

Marco Rubio is NOT supporting policies that are increasing income disparity and lowering social mobility, he is supporting policies that increase opportunity and provide avenues by which citizens can avail themselves of those opportunities.

It is you who don't understand.

No, I'm not certain that's so.

I think you DO understand, but are so intent on being obtuse that you will attack anything that is good and anything that brings real hope to people of any station in life.

You are a disgusting example of an American and, yes, of a human being.

(Z: I'm sorry to be so blunt about Ducky. It's just that there are things I know on one level because I have been taught. Then there are things that I know on a higher level because I have had direct experience with them. Marco Rubio falls into that latter category. He is a wise and honorable man. God grant that he wins and is able to remain wise and honorable).

Ducky....I'm an expert on this subject. Listen up you sad, disgraceful little man.

I've lived in South Florida for over 38 years. I moved to Florida to escape the stultifying, over taxed, over regulated, congested, repressive government of NEW JERSEY. I followed what little of I95 there was built to escape that northern hell hole and wound up at it's terminus in South Florida. I lived in Miami, then Fort Lauderdale, then Deerfield Beach and finally settling in Boca Raton. ( That...we earned after 15 years in Florida! )

I was born and raised in Jersey too. But after my service and tour in the AF...I was separated in South Carolina...and knew I couldn't go back to Jersey.

Since then...in the earliest days of Cuban immigration...we never knew a Cuban. Until we became involved in the S. Florida business community. I have never met a group of people so dedicated, appreciative, loving, grateful and happy to be Americans. People whose parents escaped...people who had lost everything they ever owned and had worked hard for...in Cuba. Formerly rich...and of course poor alike. Mostly poor.

They came here...alone...basically impoverished...and started all over again when they settled in Miami...Hialeah, Opa Loca and Hollywood.

By the time we came here...Cubans had migrated North....to Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. They built extraordinary homes....became involved in the community, PTA, school boards...local elections. In other words...they ASSIMILATED. First generation parents spoke little or no English...like Rubio's.

Our business associates and their Cuban children today.....speak flawless ENGLISH..and so do their grandchildren. We spend the holidays in Cuban traditions of roast pig over an open pit...New Years with Cuban traditions. Then they come to our home. And we celebrate Hunnakah...with them.

We have loved our special 4 Cuban families for over 25 years. And this holiday season....we'll roast another pig...spin the dradle and wish each other another 20 years of health, love, freedom...and hoping that Fidel goes to hell.

And we know...they LOVE America...Thank you Carlos, Alfredo and Alfonso.....the most wonderful...best Cuban ( American ) friends we have ever had.
These Americans...are the Americans ( not unlike the Irish of the 1840's ) that came here to be an integral part of the American Experience. And I'd like to see one day....not unlike the Irish who after 3 generations saw a Kennedy in the WH...a Carlos...an Alfredo or a Marco Rubio as President of the United States.!

I sincerely hope that Marco can achieve that goal. Nothing...NOTHING...would make me prouder of America than seeing Marco Rubio and Alan West...whether together or on their own achieve the highest honor we can bestow on each of them. I hope I live long enough to see the day...when as a Vet...I can salute them both and realize that America has come full circle...back to it's senses and reject the unilateral One World, socialist, degenerate philosophy that America...is not he greatest goddamn country on this troubled planet

Ducky...we're not "racists"...we're not the disgusting "TeaBaggers" you defame us with....We're Americans...who have ALWAYS welcomed all...who wish to be, AMERICANS. Without any hyphens, please.

Ducky...I despise your world view...I despise your disgusting, troubling, Marxist ideals....or...ideas. You....are what is wrong with America. And those like you...will never reap the exceptionalism that is America.

Hi Imp. A beautiful and meaningful comment my friend. I concur and celebrate what you've expressed.

You really say everything that needs to be said about those who come to America, and love this country.

The Cuban community has certainly understood what it is to be free, for they escaped what it is to be in servitude to a false ideology which promises much and delivers misery.

Thanks for your contribution here today. It's moving and real, and shows how an immigrant can be welcomed simply by adopting their new found country as their own.

Elbro, FANTASTIC Beck clip, thanks. The one on the economy ...all facts, all clearly right there for the lefties to learn from ; BUT THEY WILL NOT.
Mr. Z used to say the same thing; why is America resorting to using the failed applications of Europe, which is trying to dig itself OUT of the mistakes?

Z said...

Joe, you know Marco Rubio? He seems like a very honorable young man.
I know you don't like saying that to Ducky any more than I liked reading it, but I've said things almost as direct as that and he provokes those feelings; anybody who loves America can't read his diatribes without this reaction.

Imp...God bless you, what a wonderful comment to read. I wish I could be with you and your Cuban friends (mostly because there's about nothing I like to eat more than pork with plaintains, rice and black beans :-) mmmm Oops...I always digress TO FOOD (as if that's a digression!?)
But, seriously, thanks for that...I had Cuban neighbors who were so kind and so protective of me before I married Mr. Z and they were SO clean they'd catch a leaf from their ficus trees before it hit the ground. I adored Nora and Alfonso and I miss them terribly. They LOVED this country for its opportunities.

Scotty, I hear such terrible things about Grayson, my GOSH!

Imp, I'm still laughing! :-)

Heather, ditto..xx

Pris, you can see Imp's TRUE CONSERVATISM there, TRUE AMERICANISM, ...can't you. He CELEBRATES the Cuban, he celebrates the Black American; he wants them to BE THEIR BEST! GO TO CONGRESS! STAND TALL ON YOUR MERITS Why can't the left refrain from slamming any person of color who doesn't uphold their opinions?

Z said...

Don't you all think it's just plain WEIRD that so little is being said tonight on the news about the terror attempts? Yes, it was discussed like a bad weather story, but ...I'd have thought a bit more conversation might suffice.

I know you don't get it, Ducky. How can you? You aren't one of us. You aren't an American, except by accident of your birth. I can think of NO ONE more oblivious to the facts than you; the left isn't thrilled with Marco Rubio because he’s a real American—and a far better human being than you will ever be. I know this because you have proven to me that there is only one word in the English language to describe you, as a human being: despicable.

Joe said...

I knew his parents, Mario and Oria back in my home town (Miami, Florida) in 1971...the year Marco was born.

They had come to the United States from Cuba to escape the Castro regime and to find opportunity for their lives.

In the 1980s, when I visited my parents in Miami, I had occasion to renew acquaintance with his parents and to get to know Marco as a teenager, one of the most respectful, polite, kind-hearted, involved kids I have known in 40 years of youth ministry.

I have had several opportunities to cross paths with him at various gatherings.

I find in him something I have never found in any of the many politicians I have ever met: total integrity and honesty.

If Marco Rubio says it, it is true and if something is not true you will not hear Marco Rubio say it.

That is remarkable, and I hope that he gets elected and is able to withstand the forces of the evil left and the quasi-"honest" politicians who will do their dead level best to make him in their image...for they have no fellowship with goodness.
