Fed up?

Like screamin' out the window "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore" fed up?

Nah.

Wait 'til Bush's tax cuts expire in October.

Yes, I am getting fed up. Interesting pun since I could go on and on about the FED and its money printing business that will cost us big time in conjunction with the unproductive spending spree.

We're just repeating what happened in the 30s in the Weimar Republic. Money that will be worth nothing. Bad economy. Corrupted officials on both side of the aisle.

We know what it led to. I don't know if all our politicians do it on purpose or not. But I am starting to believe that the most leftist do it on purpose in order to create such a chaos that people will beg for government interference in their life and totally ruin the foundation of this country.

Passed that point a long time ago.

well yes, our government is broken and it's in the hands of the right wing.

Of course I'm fed up.

Fed up? I guess!

I can barely stand to read or watch the news these days.

I'm confused by the Duck's statement. I would like to say something but...I'm confused.

As far as your question, I'm mostly fed up by the lying and backtracking. Obama has gone back on almost everything he attacked Bush for and is now doing the same things, and he's still attacking him for them.

More than that though, I'm fed up with the fact that he's getting away with it by the media.

Interesting list: How the Socialist Party recently graded BHO.

The Socialist Party doesn't agree with Duck's evaluation.

Ducky,

well yes, our government is broken and it's in the hands of the right wing.I understand that leftists are slower than snails in tar and ideologically committed to convincing people that all leftists are idiots.

The left has been in charge of the government for quite some time.

My benchmark is October 1, 2007, when the 2006 elected Democrat majority Congress' first budget went into effect and the stock market nosedived from 14,000.

Losing 3,500 points followed that, in the 13 months between Democrat budget policy gutting the economy and our promised Messiah being elected, in which the stock market has dropped another 3,500 points in the 7+ months between the November election and today.

The only controls our government has on the economy (Congress) have been in Democrat hands since the November 2006 elections. The only check on their power (the Presidency) is, as of January 2009, also a Democrat.

You can call Democrats many things, but they lack the IQ requirement to be called right-wing.

ah, beamish...that last sentence; another for the list :-)

Post hoc ergo procter hoc. You think like a right winger. Now can you point to policies that caused the decline? I mean legislation that The Dauphin didn't veto.

Here we are watching government refloat the boat of financial capitalism and you guys say this is a left wing government. You tear the fabric of reason. It's beyond absurd.

Ducky,

You're left-wing. Don't talk about reason.

Stick to what you know.

Post hoc ergo procter hoc. You think like a right winger. Now can you point to policies that caused the decline? I mean legislation that The Dauphin didn't veto.Bush attempted to reform the Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac EZ Credit ripoff loan industry, and was blocked by Democrats in Congress up until the point Democrats controlled Congress and there was no hope of such matters ever even reaching a commitee for consideration. Duh.

Bush didn't veto the budget legislation the Democrat majority Congress came up with. Duh.

Bush had a record of not really vetoing anything presented to him - dating back to when he was Governor of Texas. Duh.

Follow with your finger if you must. Be careful not to smear boogers on your monitor.

Here we are watching government refloat the boat of financial capitalism and you guys say this is a left wing government. You tear the fabric of reason. It's beyond absurd.Yeah. After the Obama administration put its socialist hands on the car manufacturing industry, The UAW owns a 55% controlling share of the Chrysler plant that just permanently shutdown down the street from my house. Surrounding businesses that made up the support and service industries for people who used to work at that plant are also closing their doors. No need to sell sandwiches to people that don't have lunch breaks to attend. Nobody needs gas on their way home from work if they're not working.

The liquor stores are even starting to fail.

And Obama's solution?

"Kumbaya, milord... kumbaya..."

Obama and the Democratic Congress is re-floating the boat of financial capitalism?

Uh, no.

I just left an okay-paying job doing outsource contract work for around 14 different banking and credit card corporations, and so I got to see the "heartless capitalist pigs" from the inside.

I got to hear from customers with excellent payment histories bitch about the spike in their APR, and their suggestions about which orifice I should shove their credit card into as they cancelled their accounts.

Credit card APRs spiked and payment due dates are jostling around (the worst is coming) in an flat out effort for these banks to hit up their reliable paying customers for the money not coming in from their unreliable and non-reliable customers - banks rob paying customers because that's where the money is - and you're going to look to Capt. ACORN for help re-floating the financial capitalist boat?

Good luck with that.

Beamish, we got our Credit Card APR raised letter last week.

Of course this has been a Dem run gov't even during Bush's last few years .... congress rules, not the president. That's why we're in such trouble now: the socialists are in charge in the Exec and Leg branches. Naive Americans really believed they could make things aaaalll better.

It would be cute if we weren't all going down because of them

Funny, I do believe the boat's still taking on water! We keep bailing, but the captain's chopping a bigger hole in the boat!!

Z,

If you don't pay your credit card or loan payment electronically instead of waiting for a mailed monthly statement, watch out.

One of the "tactics" coming / already here is that you'll receive your bill with barely enough time to get a check in the mail before the due date.

Designed to reap more from late charge penalties and interest.

I wish I could say more but I'm still bound by confidentiality agreements for another year.

But, really it's a microcosm of the grander scheme.

You can get away from a credit card company.

You can't get away from Uncle Sam.

When Bush's tax cuts expire this October and next year's October and we return to Clinton's tax schedules (with additional taxes from Obama and company) it may just be the clincher for a LOT of people's civil disobedience instinct.

And our "hope" and "change" is Capt. ACORN and his sidekick Senator Citibank.

We're screwed.

But Moe, you can just switch credit card companies. Isn't that the Libertarian solution?

Kind of a bizarre list, AOW. From the bottom:

12) Union card check -- Hasn't passed and probably won't. I have no idea what this guy is talking about.

11) I don't believe it's been done but it doesn't seem radical.

10) Obama clearly is going to continue the previous administrations failures in Iraq/Afghanistan. He's just another stupid American who think s the U.S. military has the power to bring a strong central government to Afghanistan for the first time in recorded history. Same old, same old.

9)and 8) Progressive tax policy. Hardly unique to socialists. Do you want to imagine what a real socialist government might do to hedge funds?

7) Government run health care? Not even close to even starting to happen.

6) Equity shares in banks. You pay your money to bail out these freakin' captains of finance and you don't even want to be repaid?

5) Funding pre-school is socialist? See here's where the hard core anti public school crowd gets silly.

4) The anti-foreclosure measure was never enacted. Cram down authority in the bankruptcy courts was not granted. This guy is asleep.

3) Yes a Keynesian package did pass. Now, repeat after me -- Keynes was a capitalist and his economic theories are capitalist.

2) I don't think the green technology funding is massive and cap and trade seems dead. Nothing happening here.

1) Ignore checks and balances. Well, he has followed in the steps of the disgusting George Bush in failing to stop warrentless eavesdropping. He clearly hasn't had Chucklenuts' talent for completely dismantling checks and balances however.

If he's a socialist then he's a pretty weak one and really only one in the eyes of a far right winger who can't see the center.
