Thanks for the hat tip.
Anytime Nancy Pelosi holds a press conference, it's political comedy gold.
I remember around a year or so ago during a war appropriations bill hearing she asked "I thought the war in Afghanistan was over?"
Though I hope she keeps her job as Speaker of the House - what better case for flipping the House back to Republican control in the next election can be made? - I really think Democrats will eventually ask her to quietly step down.
Emphasis on "quietly."
Democrats cringe whenever she opens her mouth to stick her foot in it.

I enjoy Beamishisms. In fact "isms" can say a lot. The Beamishism above is based on common sense.
Here's Nancy's:
A Pelosiism, "I wasn't briefed I was informed".
This one is based on..........???
Beamish wins hands down.

Sorry Pal! Nancy says we can't believe the CIA!
Really, how did she become the speaker of the house? I thought it was about putting your best person forward? Don't laugh at my ignorance in this, but I really would like to know the process and how she was the one chosen.
Blessings.
After an election, the party with the majority in the House holds a vote to select the Speaker.
The Speaker of the House does not necessarily even have to be a sitting Representative, but traditionally all Speakers have been from the body of elected Congressmen.
She's there because her fellow Democrats in the House put her there, instead of someone qualified, in or out of the House.
Thanks Beamish, but something tells me that if you were able to vote for a person to represent you in the House; wouldn't you want some with an elloquence in their speach and intelligence to match?
Or is it just me?
Blessings.

Or is it just me?You must be one of them there Republicans.
I.H.S. and Beamish? I recently spent 20 minutes in a bar with John Boehner (no joke)....I decided that NOBODY has eloquence or intelligence in our government today. BOy, was THAT an eye opener. sad.
Thanks for the lesson, Beamish...I wasn't really quite sure, either. I'm glad I.H.S. asked. When you look at the woman, you'd think "This must have been an accidental appointment" but...apparently not!
Shhhhhhh, not to loud Beamish; you're about to blow my cover. There's an unwritten rule which says: 'if you are non-white and a preacher of the Gospel you're supposed to be non-Republican'
LOL!
Blessings.
I.H.S! Your beautiful secret's safe with US!!
LOVE THAT!!! xxx
