Feeling like a Stranger in a Strange Land?
I'd about have given anything to be a back-up singer for Mr. LEON RUSSELL in 'the day'. Love him or hate him..............his piano knocks me out (not that there's much piano solo in this video). Stranger in a Strange Land.....that's how I'm feeling. In America! You, too?

I'd feel even stranger being a patriotic Brit in the UK realizing that jobs were being farmed out to migrants other than native Britons. This is why I am such a big supporter of the British National Party.
But I am getting that feeling lately here too....and with the upcoming attacks on our first amendment rights as bloggers now being threatened by nutjob left wingers in Congress, it's no wonder we should all become very concerned - BUT THE BLOGGING WON'T STOP.
stranger in a strange land z? this is the version you want to listen to!... it ain't old people music that is for sure... he he...
Steve....the blogging won't stop, till we're all rounded up, I guess!?
Pat, you think Leon's 'old people music'? You're right about Iron Maiden; that's not too bad, but I could only listen to half, the repetition gets on my nerves! thanks, I didn't hate it!
Wow.. someone beat me to the inevitable Iron Maiden reference.
Hi ,Beamish..I figured!
But leon's is SO far superior, really...you HAVE to admit it (smile)
good to see you around, my friend.
Yuck. The audio quality on that Maiden video is not all that great.
Try one of these.
Anyway, the Leon Russell song is good too.
I'll blog again when I actually have something to say besides "looking for a job in this economy sucks."
I'll probably do that if I'm still unemployed 6 months from now.
But I won't be.
I can cook and dig holes. People are always eating and dying.
I'll settle for the easy money if I can't score the hard.
Hey, Beamish..surprised? I have ONLY the HIPPEST of the HIP here at geeeZ (heh!!)
Eating and dying...true.
You'll do better.
I like the sound of this.
Z,
You know you're as cool as the veggie drawer.
I may be down, but I'm never out.
Z,
Isn't interesting to hear the writer sing his/her music and then hear someone else do it? I always liked the Carpenters treatment of Leon's music. That was certainly different. When it's all said and done, you rarely can beat the original though.
but Z we are strangers in a strange land...this isn't our home.
it's only temporary.
Elbro, I'm talking about not recognizing our temporal country..you know that.
And what you said helps, but....!!
