Obama Overview...First in a continuing series....by Mr. Z

Obama’s Megalomaniacal March to Socialism

Overview

When it became clear a year ago that Obama would be a serious contender, we wrote extensively about our suspicions as to the impact his potential win would have on the United States. What we did not imagine was the speed with which the changes would happen. Normally, one would think that the suggested period for analyzing the functioning of a new person at the head of a company, or a government for that matter, would be six months. However, the amount and speediness of very controversial actions by Obama and his government gives rise to an analysis after the famous first 100 days.

We will make a summary assessment of his actions in this article based on comparisons with actions in this and in other countries in the near and distant past. This will provide a pretty accurate view of what will happen in the future and what the consequences will be for the U.S., and the world for that matter. The references are the Soviet Union, Germany under Hitler, the GDR (East Germany), Cuba and Venezuela. The most relevant and most instructive example is probably Venezuela, because it is has just recently turned to communism, and the measures taken by Chavez are very similar to those under development in the U.S. For a fairly accurate but short situation report about the situation see this previous article in geeez.

Here are the most important issues as seen today and what can be expected.

1. Redistribution (aka Class Warfare): It has become abundantly clear that the main goal of Obama is the redistribution of wealth. This has never worked because if one takes the incentive away from those who have the talent and the desire to succeed, industry and commerce break down. As a result, an avalanche of taxes will hit small and big companies and those individuals who work hard to earn a decent living.

2. Nationalization (aka Centralized Planning): It appears to be the belief of this government that private industry cannot be trusted with running their business. Hence the gradual nationalization of key companies as aggressively undertaken by Obama. The examples of the Soview Union and the GDR, particularly, turned out to be miserable failures.

3. Spending (aka Budget): The amount of money spent on bail-outs, pork projects and budgeted for stimulation and socialist agenda items is absolutely insane. The stimulating effect will be marginal, and the remainder of the spending spree will mortgage the citizens with currently $33,000 per capita (including babies).

4. Education (aka Indoctrination): Although little has been implemented by Obama so far, the stated intent is a central direction of education in the country. That would only complete a process which was actually started 20 to 30 years ago through the migration of socialist and communist-inspired and educated teachers into our schools and colleges. The Child Protection Act that is in preparation must be seen as a part of that process because it basically strips the parents of any right to direct the education and social behavior of their children and passes that to the State.

5. Centralized information policy (aka as suppression of opposing opinions): Obama and his government are constantly out in front of cameras proclaiming their perceived achievements. Since the mass media helped Obama win, they cannot be seen as abandoning him now – the result is extremely uncritical reporting and the active shunning of any reporters who might ask serious questions. In addition, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has established a report which got accidentally released which basically puts everybody having another view than the government into the category of „Extremist“ and put under observation. Legitimate concerns by the public are shrugged off, ignored or ridiculed, such as he „tea parties“ at 600+ locations in the country (which was nothing else than the public expressing their disdain about the insane spending of the government).

6. National Security (or absence thereof): This is probably the most serious problem since it will put the U.S. and her allies in serious danger. The reduction in important military programs, the closure of Gitmo (and releasing some of the prisoners freely into the U.S.) , the distribution of previously confidential memos and pictures about „enhanced interrogation practices“ (and doing so without communicating the information which was obtained to save life and assets), and the idea of potentially charging the involved persons with a crime (which will completely dismantle the intelligence services) are moves which will not only block the U.S. from future cooperation with its allies who will fear cooperating with us now, but also encourage the enemies of the U.S. to take bolder actions.

7. Social fabric of the country: The first action of Obama was to stop the law protecting U.S. taxpayer’s money to going to abortions inside and, even more importantly, outside of the U.S. While abortion is currently legal, no government money should go into it to support it. Similarly, the ban to spend government money on embryonic stem cell research was lifted, despite the fact that it is proven that adult stem cell works better. It is to be expected that there will be an enormous amount of reverse discrimination. Everything abnormal, such as gay marriage, is likely to become the norm. Also, the „race card“ is being played, and will be increasingly played to an extent which could create a major rift in the country. A part of this, linked to some of the issues above, will be the issue of illegal immigrants. It can be expected that there will be an amnesty for those people who broke the law and entered the country illegally, resulting in several hundreds of billions of dollars every year of taxpayer money of expenditures for this group of people. In combination with the resolve to not secure the borders, this will result in a huge incentive for even more people to break the law and enter illegally.

8. Militia (aka Civil Force): It is Obama’s stated intent to create a civil force on the same order as the Army and with similar equipment. This, together with the Voluntary Youth Force, reminds one eerily of similar forces in communist countries, or to the SA and the HJ under Hitler. There is only one purpose for such forces: Indroctination, oppression and implementation of terror by the government.

9. Megalomania: Yes, this is a common thread, too. The need to demonstrate to the world the power they have; these dictators appear to have the need to show it off. Big military parades and showy events with Greek columns such as those Hitler or Kim Jong-Il have put to use to show their godliness have an eerie resemblance to some of the appearances of Obama.

10. Communication: Here is a halfway positive point. Obama is a reasonable communicator, if his teleprompters work (he is much less able if they don’t work). He appears nice and friendly, and has to be credited for opening the doors of communication to the allies further than has sometimes been the case with the previous administration. However, the friendliness to some of the enemies of the U.S., bowing to the Saudi King, giving the first TV interview to an Arabic TV Station, and running around in the world blaming the country he should very favorably represent for every ill in the world not only negates the positive effect of his openness, but inflicts heavy damage to the image of the U.S. as a country of strength.

This is a summary view of Obama’s performance and direction as established in the first 100 days. Obviously, this analysis is not complete – therefore we will analyze each subject in subsequent articles in more detail – and they may indeed be enhanced as more knowledge about Obama’s activities becomes apparent. ...........Mr. Z

it is very depressing to read this list all at once. Brutal.

Before BHO took office, my concerns as to what could do to America seemed paranoid. I reined myself in and said, "It won't be as bad as I'm imagining."

Those concerns haven't turned out to be paranoia, however. BHO and this Congress have moved with great alacrity. Can there be any recovery from this steamroller of socialism? I'm not sure. Indeed, I'm feeling very pessimistic these days.

Excellent primer on our decline and imminent fall, thanks to B.O. (By the way I wish that coarse moniker would make enormous headway, would become as ubiquitous as "FDR" or "JFK." We need to besmirch this world-wrecker in every possible way, large and small, if we have any hope of penetrating the brain of the average, politically ignorant American.) Anyway-- very solid, Mr. Z. Looking forward to further, in-depth summaries of the staggering directives of B.O.

Mr. Z -
Thanks for taking the time to post your observations. I can only add that I feel quite confident that the worst is yet to come. "Hate Crimes" legislation, a new "fairness" doctrine (called "localism"), Supreme Court appointments, "Cap and trade" (really onerous energy tax legislation), Amnesty and more are all on the horizon. Thus man is menace. He is a would be demagogue in every sense of the word. The left's successful indoctrination has, so far, effectively distracted the country from the truth of our impending destruction. The "enemy within" continues to be the greatest enemy of all.

Great post.

Obama is not just a problem for the U.S. but for the whole world. When there's no adult running the show, chaos ensues.

Yeah, now we're cool just like all those European socialists. But what's going to happen when the chickens come home to roost? The U.S. won't be able to bail everyone else out anymore. The illusion of life without consequences will soon be over.

It has become abundantly clear that the main goal of Obama is the redistribution of wealth. This has never worked because if one takes the incentive away from those who have the talent and the desire to succeed, industry and commerce break down.

But this is exactly Obama’s goal. If he can destroy the corporate structure, government is suddenly justified to step in and seize those companies “on behalf of America’s interests.” The intellectually challenged will never figure this out, just as unions continue to kill their hosts, because most people believe government has unlimited financial resources.

I no longer believe we should limit our concern to four years; we ought to be worried about the next eight.

I am looking forward to the rest of your articles, Mr. Z.

Mr Z, a powerful post, and a harbinger of things to come.

I believe people are worried and afraid at what they're seeing. They're talking about it at the bowling alley, the market, everywhere I spend my time.

The tea parties are an indication of this awareness that something's very wrong, and dark.

While the media for the most part is carrying the administration's water, I believe they too are intimidated. Not all, but I think more than a few.

What never leaves my mind are my children, and when I look at my grandson, I think, "what is being left to him".

This wonderful, great country I have always loved is slowly being killed as surely as if she was a person with an insidious disease.

If people are waiting for the leftist rush to subside or stop, it will not. It never has. It's like a hungry animal which cannot be satiated.

The Arlen Specters of this world are akin to being collaborators during a war, to my mind.

What we need is an American Geert Wilders. Are there no more statesmen who have the courage to stand up and be counted? To speak the truth with a strong voice?

At present it seems not, and I am heartsick.

Thanks Mr. Z. Would that a leader would put forth what you say here. I would surely vote for you.

An excellent synopsis of the first 100 Days and where they will lead. The megalomania is particularly scary, because it follows right along with what led to Chavez proclaiming hmself to be president for life.

Glad you read Mr. Z's post..thanks, everybody.
Pris, I'd vote for him, too! There's nothing like hearing your foreign-born husband in the living room playing AMERICA on the piano..he just wandered in there the other day after we'd been talking about the NIGHTMARE that is obama in the kitchen, and I heard him playing that.........kind of touched me.

Mr.Z,
I look forward to your scholarly approach to the BO administration. There will certainly be fodder for your grist mill. Well done.

Mr. Z is so wise. My fear is that his wisdom comes not only from strong character and conviction but also from experience. I fear that he has seen these attributes before in Germany and sees clearly what others refuse to even imagine as a possibility. Some of us are listening Mr. Z. Please continue to share with us and I will attempt to show others your wisdom.

That's a good, fact based analysis. I wish I was just reading about it in a history book, and not actually living in the times though.

The long and the short of it is this: Our federal government under the rule of the Obama administration has declared war on it's own citizenry and the Liberties granted to us by God and enumerated and illustrated by the Constitution and Declaration of Independance.

Not to harp on this too much, but it's time to start getting organized folks. Merely bloggin isn't gonna get it done anymore.

Check out the ACTIVE organization at http://accdf.com.

P.S. Medicine is always bitter, Z. Thanks for this dose.

You forgot N. Korea. Dr. Douglass has a great post at American Power that you might want to link to to show what happens when the government runs things.

Thank you Herr Z for this unflinching look at the apparent agenda of Comrade Obama. It's obvious what he's doing, and he's doing it as FAST as he can.

At the risk of sounding paranoid, I'd go a step further. I think he's doing purposeful damage to America. Even though he'd LOVE to be re-elected in 4 years, I think his agenda is DAMAGE to this country which he really hates.
