I give this teacher an A....how about you?

You've probably all received this as an email but I couldn't not post it here because I believe so strongly in what it says, so bear with me!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

(Please pass this on) the Professor is a Genius

Here's another something from the Professor!:

At 12hr 34 minutes and 56 seconds on the 7th of August this year, the time and date will be

12:34:56 07/08/09

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

This will never happen in your life again

A classic that bears repeating. Too many people don't understand how socialism/communism is contrary to human nature.

Another example is that the Pilgrims tried a variation of Socialism, and almost starved to death. Of course, no one really remembers that little detail in the Thanksgiving story.

G-d bless the professor for setting those young dummies straight
You're absolutely right Tom!.

great post z!!... i must admit those who hold to the idea of creating a great equalizer among men disgust me!! for they know not what has truly created equality. and there not knowing results in the real destruction of our value!!

12:34 and 56 seconds 7/8/09 will actually happen TWICE today.

It also happened twice on July 8th.

Well done to that teacher, too bad so many out there will only learn from that experience and hence dragging us all down the toilet while they figure out their ass from their elbow.

Opus #6, I agree, plus it is flat out contrary to "honesty". Can't be a socialist if you are in the habit of being honest with yourself.

We need more professors like this one! Most of my economic professors at Vanderbilt were very conservative, so I was lucky.

Great story to share.

In heaven...I will most definitely be your friend Z. I look forward to meeting you there!

Wow, a far right winger who confuses the welfare state with socialism. Given the education level on the right you NEVER run into that.

Come on z, this one's been floating around for years. You can do better.

It's ironic that Americans spend so much money on higher education to be indoctrinated at the best universities in the wonders of socialism. They graduate embracing socialism and not knowing anything about the long struggles of the past of mankind to remove itself from the enslavement to the powers of the aristocrats and kings and despots. Knowing nothing about the tyranny imposed on hundreds of millions of people across the planet — they cry out for socialism to be imposed in the only country in the history of the planet founded explicitly on the concept of individual rights and limited power of the state.

Attending Harvard to become a "community organizer" in order to promote the "equality" of socialism trumps being an individual in a capitalist economy where you make it or break it more by the effort you put forth, rather than looking to the state for equalization of your grievances.

This story is frequently told and has an undeniable truth to it.

Since you're so smart, can you define welfare state then, Duckette?

People also tend to forget the failed experiment with collectivism of the pilgrims. That should be taught in schools since it's US history.

I started reading the healthcare bill and taking notes. My head hurts but I figured I should do it.

Already in the first 20 pages... When they're saying people will be able to keep their plan, it's a lie. They'll be able to do that for a few years but there are serious restrictions that will make it impossible.

Wow a socialist attempting to distance themselves from the welfare state...

Such a maroon!

The problem with this story... and the reason why I think it is a urban legend is that the left doesn't allow conservatives to teach. They have a monopoly on it because allowing a conservative access to the classroom would interfere with their ability to program our youth during their formative years.

G-Man."Wow a socialist attempting to distance themselves from the welfare state..."

Heidianne is right; you're brilliant.

And yes, we can't teach because we are morons; the Left has taught our children and our fellow deluded Americans that the Right is only bigoted, hate filled, anti ANY immigration, loves war of any kind, hates homosexuals, mean and nasty and is bringing America down.....
The left can't allow us to teach or voice our opinions and they'll be SO SORRY when these deluded nuts get their taste of an America we never thought we'd ever have to see because WE knew better.
But, I blame us. We don't fight back hard enough, we don't volunteer, we don't serve on city councils, the Conservative teachers I know (some of whom blog here) don't believe in sharing their opinions tho their leftwing colleagues are indoctrinating so terribly, I know young mother bloggers who say they won't foist their conservative viewpoints on their children because they deserve to draw their own...while so many leftwingers are teaching their poor children OBAMA THE WONDERFUL and IT AIN'T EASY BEIN' GREEN songs.

We're losing because our politicians are SO afraid of political correctness ...which is SO subtly beguiling.

Sounds SO mean to the Left to have conservatives saying:
"let him work for a living if he can" (the Left thinks that's mean)
"I don't want to deny my family for my neighbor" (Evil and too capitalistic)
"I don't think that Latin woman is qualified" (hate mongers)
"I prefer men and women only call their union marriage" (gay bashers)
"aborting babies is wrong on many levels" (too religious...I mean, too CHRISTIAN)
"America is THE BEST" (Who do we THINK WE ARE? If WE have nukes N. Korea deserves nukes!)
etc etc etc...

This has to stop. and soon, or we're in a cesspool of obama-Chicago-thug-elitist-socialist think we'll never recover from.

I'm concerned that those time/date numbers will "never" happen again.

That seems a shame...a total waste of sequences.

As for Ducky's comment: Ducky ducks any and everything that even hints of truth. He (think Jack Nicholson here) can't handle the truth.

Let me if you get an error message from Google. People have experienced some difficulties, including my wife from her computer. Looks like Google is already implementing filters on some sites like they did with the Chinese gov ;-)

FrogBurger, I think Dodd's out all on his own initiative :-)

As for the Googling of the Gateway site, I got right in when I tried.

I'd heard someone was injured and he was a conservative but did not know the Service Employee's Union was behind it...BIG surprise, right?

Happily, the attorney will get busy RIGHT away and let AMERICA KNOW what the Left's doing.

If ONE PERSON on the Right does ANYTHING wrong, the media goes NUTS with BIG HEADLINES....but let the whole damned union do something and it'll stay quiet...thanks to the media. ()$&()@#$

Yeah Google had me all blocked out from blogger sites for a while (bastages). It seems to have been fixed though.

"Heidianne is right; you're brilliant."

Now you're just trying to get on my good side. ;-)

"We're losing because our politicians are SO afraid of political correctness"

Oh trust me. It's not just politicians. Almost everyone is afraid of offending someone else's fragile sensibilities. It amazes me that the 1st Amendment was so easily unhinged by using nothing more than old fashioned peer pressure and the herd mentality.

G-Man, you don't have a blog, right? Or am I missing something? I didn't see one on your viewer profile, but I've been known to miss things..

I love this idea. It really illustrates how absurd Marxism is.

Wow, I do have a blog... Here it is. No idea why it doesn't show up on the profile.

for heaven's sake, G-Man....I click on your name NOW and I see it..Holy cow, I am SO SORRY.!! I'm glad I asked..:-)

Geeeeez...what the?

Perhaps a lingering side effect of Google's little hiccup earlier today.

A lot of good comments here ....As for the drive by motor mouth that goes by ducky...

The welfare state is a product of socialist ideas. As is Social security, Medicare, medicade, and friggin food stamps. For that matter, the entire Dept. of Social Services and Planned Parenthood is socialist in it's plan and operation.

You gotta start thinking things through before you touch your keyboard. You keep coming up short on the comments man.
