Waxman ...... Can he DO this?

HENRY WAXMAN is requesting information from INSURANCE COMPANIES? Click HERE.

Washington (AP) - Democrats on a House committee are seeking detailed financial records from dozens of large insurance companies, officials disclosed Tuesday, part of an investigation into "executive compensation and other business practices" in an industry opposed to President Barack Obama's plan to overhaul health care.

I thought the new deal was "The government will be in COMPETITION" Should one competitor know information about the other? Is that fair?

Is this still AMERICA?

Nice fascistic way. I can't believe it.

Obama blackmailing again.

He's a gangster. That's all he is.

Then he lectures US.

God I can't wait for 9/12.

Next I want him to investigate the following:
- Union leaders paychecks, bonuses and other benefits
- Book sales from Pelosi and other politicians
- Congressmen and women paychecks and benefits who really don't deserve what they make right now

And if the CEOs have to provide paychecks, it would be nice if he could provide an official birth certificate. I don't want to make a big deal of this but since he's already spent 1 million dollars fighting lawsuits, he may as well, just to save the money and maybe give it to charities.

What a thug this guy is

Judging by Obamanomics, I'd say Waxman and various others flunked econ 101.

See you in the bread line!

The insurance companies should tell congress to stuff it!

Either that or tell them, "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours"!

In fact, let's see the Federal Reserve's books, and find out where the mysterious two trillion dollars was spent.

These people are nothing but crooks and thuggers.

Pris

Well said pris. Good point about the Fed. I'd love to know where the those thugs' offshore accounts are.

Tom said...

Congress can ask all they want - they do not have any legal right to ask for that information.

Chuck said...

I'm with Pris, tell them to piss off. I do0ubt they can require them to give the info.

Z said...

Tom, I'm just HOPING the insurance companies all stand up and declare this all ILLEGAL and get the spineless Republicans to DO something about this.
Those politicians work for the PEOPLE, we do NOT work for THEM and NO company owes these dopes ANYTHING.

It IS FASCISM and we should ALL be bloody well tired of all that's going on.

FrogBurger said...

I love when you get upset Z. It sounds good to my ears :))

Z said...

Hi, Chuck...here's what the article has to say on that "While companies are not under legal obligation to comply, the committee could respond to a refusal by voting to subpoena the information at a later date."

Wouldn't you LOVe for someone to finally stand up and say "STOP!"?

Z said...

FrogBurger? MOI? Comment en dit UPSET en francais?

Well...I don't LIKE to sound very upset, I really don't...but I'm, quite frankly, starting to lose it.

WHERE THE HELL (oops!) are the DAMNED (oops, I don't usually swear !) REPUBLICANS? And the COURTS?

Next I want him to investigate the following:

and those in the entertainment industry, actors, actresses, cinematographers, editors

lawyers

put them all on government scale and see how they like working on a fixed income

what a bunch of dolts we have in Congress

David Schantz said...

The insurance companies should "just say no". All of us should, when the thugs and thieves that are currently in office come up for reelection we should "just say no" as we vote them out.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

FrogBurger said...

enerve for upset.

Well the Republicans are just old fat elephants. We need to replace them too.

I got a mail from them to fight big gov with some form to send a check. I sent it back and wrote "Fix the big gov you created, then ask for money."

RaDena said...

Nothing is "fair" where the Obama administration is concerned, Z. Absolutely nothing! GRRRR!

I really do growl when I'm upset and I find myself doing more of it these days than ever before in my life.

DaBlade said...

The prodigious proboscis knows. Waxman nose no bounds. This smells... and other bad puns.

David Wyatt said...

No doubt Vengeance IS coming, & for now, we can still trust the Lord to do right, even if those in office don't. He knows how to set them up as well as bring them down in His time & for His holy purposes. (Ps.75:6) In the meantime (& they are certainly mean!) we should make our voices known, though in orderly fashion, as is beginning to happen in these town halls, & I'm loving to see the career pols such as Fwank & Pelosi, etc losing it! Keep the pressure on, America! And there is no doubt that the huge najority that are showing up are the heart & soul of America. it does appear that the sleeping giant is finally awakening.

shoprat said...

Are they looking for indictments or blackmail material?

FrogBurger said...

Maybe it's just part of a set up to make us believe they're against the insurance companies. In the meantime, they raise the money.

If they can villify the insurance CEO's, America will turn on 'em just like we did the big oil CEO's. Then...we'll be all for Obama's plan. Right?

..because he's just a humble public servant who wants good, quality healthcare for the poor and needy. :P

oooh, I'm feelin' cranky, Z.

"YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!"

They are but a few pieces of legislation short of enslaving us all. They have the power now and, if they can muster the guile, they will complete their plans, by any means necessary.

Z said...

Jen, I think the whole country's getting cranky.

Da Patriot...I'm wondering what it will take to save America; I think that we're economically lost, after having watched some TV tonight...

I was surprised to see Juan Williams has drunk the Kool Aid; he used to be fair minded and tonight Mr Z asked "How much do you think HE's been paid?"
I don't think he has...he has integrity from what some of his rightwing journalists pals have said...but he sure is showing the true befuddled mind of a 'cradle to grave' leftwinger these days.

they dont seem to care whats legal these days Z!

"WHERE THE HELL (oops!) are the DAMNED (oops, I don't usually swear !) REPUBLICANS? "

There aren't hardly any remaining, Z... "Crooks and thuggers" (bullseye, Pris!) dominate and are surrounded only by a handful of jello spined ass kissers (oops!). We need to vacuum most of them in 2010/2012.

Question is, where do we find something to replace them with besides insignificant "quacks"?

FrogBurger said...

I think what the only way that may save this country will eventually be to break it apart in many ones. Because I don't think the states will ever regain the power they were supposed to have.

When the spending will really have to stop once the dollar is not the worldwide currency anymore (hence can't even use hyperinflation as a way to pay the debt), there may not be a lot of reasons left to stick together anymore. Only disadvantages (debt, fed gov getting in the way of running local affairs).

I think Jen's right... If they can villify the insurance CEO's, America will turn on 'em just like we did the big oil CEO's. It's a tactic to make the insurance companies look bad and make the gov't plan look like a good thing.
But I cannot think of one good reason they actually could subpoena those records. These companies didn't receive any TARP funds, the gov't has no business in their business.

Z said...

FrogBurger, I don't see that happening...and the very thought that we must talk that way is frightening and sickening......but you're right...something has to be done.

They are sitting back and letting the Average Americans do battle with the evil doers.

Who wants to go back and read my very first post about creating "The Average American Party"? Maybe it's time has come.

The need for full disclosure applies only to us mere mortals - since the "One" need not even disclose his birth certificate. No surprise for an administration that has admitted to monitoring Twitter and a Youtube to see what the "common folk" are saying about him. He was even recently quoted as saying that some of us are "bearing false witness" against him and his precious Health Reform package! Classic messiah complex.

HoosierArmyMom said...

I saw a photo of Waxman on the news today and about went into shock. He looks like an alien... probably from the planet "Moonbat".

Z said...

Miradena, I have noticed he's suddenly talking about prayer all day long (5 times, maybe? Heh heh)...and using Scripture verbage, and, last night, O'Reilly (whom I really have trouble with liking) argued "What would Jesus do about health care!?" with a NUN. Where'd the NUN COME FROM?

I thought "Is this the NEW White House memo? 'Christians SHOULD believe in universal healthcare'?" I'll bet it is.

Except Christians really DO want people to be covered, ALL people..but covered COMPETENTLY. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!

HAM...you've got him mixed up with someone else..My California Henry Waxman reminds me of a male Miss Piggy (funny, I typed Piss first....freudian!? oops!)...the nose..OY!! :-) Sorry to be so mean, but...if the snout fits!

Average..post it again, I'd like to read it!

If they want something done it's going to cost them. Republicans on the hill don't work for free.

I'm curious about insurance companies declaring it illegal. How did they get appellate power?

----------------------

How do you "cover someone competently"? You're just paying the bill not doing the neurosurgery. Or did you mean "completely"?

The far right is very confusing.

MathewK said...

Chicago gangsterism on a federal level isn't it.

Z said...

"competently" ...good health care. LIke we have now, DUCKY

What was so confusing about that?

G-Man said...

"The far right is very confusing."

Yeas all the intricacies of logic can seem that way to those unused to employing it.

"Republicans on the hill don't work for free."

Wow you are naive... NO ONE on the hill works for free regardless of party!

"the gov't has no business in their business."

That hasn't stopped them yet! Hell, what's a little ol' thing like the constitution anyways?

FrogBurger said...

Puky, since you're mentioning the far right often, what is the difference between the far right and the right?
I'm curious.

But again, you may not answer specific questions.

HoosierArmyMom,

My Wife watches a lot of SyFy movies. I could have sworn I saw someone that looked a lot like Waxman in one of the programs she was watching when I went through the room a few days ago.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.
