I just wanted to remind everyone about one of the reasons you could get in trouble around here.

FJ's my friend and I'd hate to see him go.

Okay, Okay... I give up.

I was an "extra" in a crowd of people walking down the street behind Susan Sarandon in the movie White Palace (I'm onscreen for like 1/32 of a second).

Susan Sarandon starred in Twilight with Clint Howard, and Clint Howard starred in Frost / Nixon with Kevin Bacon.

So I'm 3 degrees from Kevin Bacon (sorta)

Hey, I spent an afternoon at Debbie Reynold's beach house because a friend's dad was her contractor. She bought ME ice cream! See that? If ONLY she'd known Kevin Bacon then...
Wait..maybe he wasn't born yet (oops)

Elbro, Mr. Z just said "Hey, I see Elbro's standing in for you at your blog.." I said "WHAT? How?" (thinking you'd deleted someone as I'd requested!?) and when I saw this I CRACKED UP!

You and FJ are redeemed!

Beamish...very cool! If they'd known YOUR WONDERFUL MIND, you'd have been on 1/4 of a second, I JUST KNOW IT~! :-)

this is so cute..thanks, Elbro!

Meh.

It was really nothing. No direction, just "walk down the sidewalk and across the street."

I was probably a block or two from Sarandon and the cameras.

The "scene" I'm in I'm at the very edge of the left side walking off screen. 1/32 of a second, tops.

As far as my mind, I was just a snot-nosed punk kid then, 19 years old, if I remember correctly.

I think it's cooler that my brother was an extra on 24.

George Clooney was in "Oceans 11" with Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt was in "Sleepers" with Kevin Bacon

And Kevin Bacon was the invisible man.

Actually the best of the lot was Diner. Good movie.
Sleepers was good too.

Sorry Z, Bacon's a terrific actor, but not my idea of a heart throb. Oh dear, am I in trouble?

The closest I ever came to stars was in the fifties. I was sixteen and invited to a B'day party for a girl whose dad worked for the insurance co. that handled insurance for Paramount studios.

We were allowed to eat in the studio cafeteria and Brando was at the table next to us. Trouble is, I never could stand Brando not then, not years later. I couldn't stand his voice.

That didn't stop me from craning my neck to look. There were starlets hanging all over him, and he looking very disinterested.

Jimmy Stewart walked in, and Doris Day. For a sixteen year old it was all very exciting.

We were allowed on the set of The Ten Commandments and Charlton Heston looked at us. We were thrilled, but I'll bet he wondered what the heck we were doing there.

Forgive me Z, I cannot tell a lie.
