We DO need a laugh from time to time!

Before you read this, I wanted to ask you something I think's pretty darned funny, too. Did you ever notice how the styrofoam container for leftover restaurant food somehow shrinks your food by the time you get it home? I just wondered if that happens to you every time, too!? :-)

Helping Others:
A man and his wife were awakened at 3:00 am by a loud pounding
on the door. The man got up and went to the door where a drunken
stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push.

"Not a chance,"said the husband, "it is 3:00 in the morning!"
He slams the door and returns to bed.
"Who was that?" asked his wife.
"Just some drunk guy asking for a push," he answers.
"Did you help him?" she asks.

"No, I did not, it is 3:00 in the morning and it is pouring
rain out there!"
"Well, you have a short memory," says his wife. "Can't you
remember about three months ago when we broke down,
and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him,
and you should be ashamed of yourself!"
The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into
the pounding rain. He calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you still there?"
"Yes," comes back the answer.
"Do you still need a push?" calls out the husband.
"Yes, please!" comes the reply from the dark.
"Where are you?" asks the husband.
"Over here....... On the swing," replied the drunk....................

LOL-I needed this today!...

BTW-an heads up for CA--our Trader Joe's is being threatened by the followers of Islam ---they want all products from Israel taken off the shelves---
As soon as I am sure it's 'real' - I'll let you know--my guess it -it's real--remember the Danish cartoons? and the threats - embassy burnings the Danes had to put up with because they would not back down...apparently-Trader Joe's is not backing down either!...

That is funny, but plausible, which makes it even funnier.

soldier - I heard about this on a local morning talk show. The host said he's going to the nearest Trader Joes, and buy all the Israeli stuff he can find. Others called and said the same thing. Here is an instance where hate backfires, thank goodness.

WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING? DO let me know if this is real...
This has to STOP and FAST. WHo do they think they ARE?
Let them not BUY the stuff if THEY don't like it. Thanks. Gosh, that ticks me off.

So,'s TRUE?

If I was 100% sure this has been a real threat, I'd be sending emails to every Californian I know within 100 miles of a TJ's. GREAT store, I hope they STAND THEIR GROUND.
What can they lose? So the tiny amount of muslims won't buy there? BIG FREAKING DEAL.
If Americans start pushing back (and why are WE being forced to PUSH ANYTHING!???!!!!), this will all backfire.

I've mentioned here 100 times that the recall of the FLYING IMAM LAWSUIT the Muslims originally filed..aimed at America-loving Americans who wanted to stay SAFE and proved it....was the worst thing that could have happened .

If ONLY Americans who aren't informed either because they only listen to the networks and CNN OR they're too lazy to even watch or read anything...would have seen THAT. "Wait, WE are being SUED because we wanted to STAY SAFE?"

Ya, real smart on CAIR's part for pulling that lawsuit so quickly.

Why else would they have? So, they push in a million ways which make good Americans question their pushiness. And then the Right gets blamed. Go figure.

Lorna, I'm such a techTARD that I can't even figure out following. and I'm glad you brought that up.
There are people who have my blog(what an honor) on their home pages and they see my new stuff there...How THAT works, I have NO idea!

I just don't want another list on my site so I have to admit I don't follow like some do.

Thanks VERY much for bringing that up because I've always wanted to make sure people know I'm not "Not following" them for any other reason than "I can't KEEP UP WITH SO MUCH WIDGET STUFF"...

i have to plead to DUMB!

Thanks for coming by!

Called my local Trader Joe's-
talked to management=its real --however-my local store only carries two products from Israel...cous-cous (sp) and Feta Cheese -
They were not too concerned -
The 'action ' is supposed to be carried out June 20--
I'll be purchasing both --tomorrow!...

CS: "Concerned"? I hope they're not concerned... it's the muslim people threatening who should be concerned that they look SO STUPID.

I once worked for a company which has an ENORMOUS project in Saudi Arabia. Because Israel had XEROX sales there, we couldn't pack reams of paper that needed to get to our project in Saudi in XEROX boxes, the arabs wouldn't let it in country. These people are NUTS. (you'd be surprised how much alcohol my friends who had to live there on the project in Saudi were able to smuggle in, though! And they MADE hootch there!)

I think I may have to buy a six-pack of Messiah Bold (the Chosen Beer) this weekend. It's not Israeli, but it is tasty.

Reminds me of a time at college I harrassed the dumbfounded cafeteria workers - "Are these bagels kosher? They don't taste kosher..."
