Obama Care and my doctor........

Yesterday, I went to a doctor who was running three hours behind time. Seriously. When we were finally leaving FOUR HOURS LATER, instead of "It was nice to meet you," I said "It was nice waiting for you!" He's a good doctor and all went pretty well.... BUT, the reason I mention all of this is because ....
His nurse was puttering around grumbling that she hadn't had lunch and it was 2:30.....The doctor said to me "I almost never have time for lunch.....and if Obama Care goes into effect, he won't pay us anything but we'll get free lunches!" I had to laugh. The nurse, yet another Obama dope, chided him "Now, Doctor.........tsk tsk" I said "Don't drink the Kool Aid, Brigitte"....She just smiled. Sort of.

Ya, no salary to speak of but everybody gets FREE LUNCH! Does the good doctor get it, or WHAT? :-)

Under socialized health, the quality of your doctors will drop, if you want really good doctors, you'll have to pay. Otherwise, shut yer trap and get in line to whoever is tired, irritable, hand enough and doesn't really give a damn because they're not rewarded to give a damn.

The health care system in Jamaica is interesting. If you're in line waiting, a bottle of scotch and a carton of cigarettes gets you a jump in line.

Under Obamacare, this method might become common practice.

Under ObamaCare there will be many universities and teaching hospitals that will be hurting because there will be far fewer people wanting to enter the field of medicine.

Good for Joe Wilson…….I may have to respect the office of the President but I don’t have listen to lies of a man that is bent on stepping on My US Constitutional rights.
There is so much corruption in Congress…..
Thank Joe Wilson for speaking out!

A Right American, I did thank Joe Wilson for speaking out. He's become a hero to me and I hope he stands strong today when idiot Pelosi reprimands him.

I sure wish we could reprimand Pelosi and Obama by getting them both out of office and a bunch of others too!

Z, your doctor's got it right and the nurse is not thinking with any logic whatsoever. I wonder if it's even occurred to her that if Obamacare goes into effect the good doctor may have to let some of his staff go? She needs to wise up, and good on you for speaking up!

Mk..right. It's like Stephen Hawkings in England...who knows, when he said how GREAT his care had been in England, if he went to Harley St Doctors?$$$ Yes, we'll have to go to VERY highly paid elite docs IF we have the money after Obama care goes into effect (I don't think it's going to happen)

Steve...you have a point...except it'll be food stamps for the doctors as our economy should be so tanked by Obama by then that they'll need scotch and whatever help they can get just to make ends meet.

Joe...research will be GONE, too...it's what THE ONE wants; to bring us down a notch, Americans must not succeed, they must all be forced into socialist mediocrity. Then he tells our kids to WORK HARD? WHY?????????

Hi, Right American! TOO much corruption in Congress...and ACORN is OUT! I wonder what the lefty senators got to vote against their leader's pet project?

RaDena... I ALWAYS speak up!! :-)

The Medical Industry will basically become like every other industry the Liberals have run into the ground, we will run out of doctors, and before you know it there will be such a shortage you will find ambulances pulling up outside of the home depot and handing a set of scrubs out to Mexican day laborers.

The problem of course, is there are no free lunches; just the illusion of it.

If doctor's compensation drops below what they are worth, someone else in the world will be willing to pay a fair price for their services. They will leave the country or leave the profession. They will not be made wage slaves of. It takes a lot of drive to become a doctor. These are not the kind of men to change to a working class lifestyle without a peep.

Maybe they won't take up arms, most of them are passive in that way. But they know how to follow the money.

The Obama plan is simply about more government control and has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with the quality of health care. Obama is a socialist and those like him think they and they alone know whats best for us. As they see it they are all knowing and we are dumb sheep that need herding.

Thanks for your recent visit to TOTUS. Yours is a great looking blog.

Four hours is nothing, quit whining. Try living in Canada for 3 years and waiting till about 3 pm for an appointment that was set for 10 am, and not getting home until around 8 pm.

EXACTLY Highboy, THAT is EXACTLY why we DO NOT WANT your kind of healthcare system!

Thank you so much for helping to explain it.

That lunch will be crappy and come late, too.

I remember the days of my youth, when I'd wait 1.5-2 hours in the French doctor office where everybody would come for a booboo. No nurse to assist the doctor at all. It was so romantic. I really miss it.

Ron...I really enjoyed looked at your blog, too, and look forward to coming back; thanks

JM...no doubt about it..SOMEONE will pay! (it'll be nosotros!)

FrogBurger, the thing I DID like about French medical care was how helpful pharmacies could be; they'd actually bandage a cut or give drugs to cure something! I loved that, very ANDY OF MAYBERRY...it always surprised me.

Highboy..Average American's right..thanks. And ARE YOU KIDDING? I thought my 4 hours for a one hour MAX procedure (including checking in, filling papers out, talking, etc!) was bad!!!

Z, when my sister and I were little girls and got a cut or a minor injury, our Mom would take us to the pharmacy. Just as you describe it.

Now they probably worry about liability, and can't take the chance. Sad huh?

Average American: its not MY system. I'm American. I merely went to school in Canada and had my child there unexpectedly.
