I figured we could all use this cool break. Are you experiencing any changes in your atmospheric conditions from the Arizona massive fires?
May the coolness of these pictures bring calm.......and please pray that those fires get under control and for the people who are losing their homes.
the bottom picture is one by my stepdaughter.......thanks, M!

Had an earthquake here in Missouri around 3:30 in the morning, but you California people probably would call it a "minor tremor."
beamish, what was it on the Richter scale?
Z, those white Tulips are so beautiful, and M's photo is lovely.
Beamish, we call anything under a 5 a 'minor tremor' these days :-)
Glad you liked the pix, P!
We set a rainfall record in our area. Not complaining given we are normally quite arid.
I think it was gauged at around a 3. Toldja it was a minor tremor...
The "big one" here, when it comes (and we're overdue for it on the New Madrid fault)) will wipe evertyhing between St. Louis, MO and Memphis, TN off the map.
beamish, how much of those areas are built for earthquake? The codes don't include that, do they, there?
Somewhat, but not really. Nothing's going to withstand a 7.0 or greater.
No matter what happens, levee walls and oil pipelines all up and down the Mississippi River will be demolished.
Farmland will be flooded and polluted. Millions will be homeless, trapped under rubble, or dead.
America as an economic power in the world would be no more.
Read up on the New Madrid earthquakes of 1811-1812.
Like I said, we're overdue.
Kinda exciting sitting on a timebomb, huh?
Beamish, we in California do it every single day.
You Cali peoples get too much practice. I have to find a big roller coaster :P
