Wife: Seattle bomb plot suspect is proud American
By MANUEL VALDES - Associated Press,MIKE BAKER - Associated Press | AP – Sat, Jun 25, 2011He "IS" a "PROUD AMERICAN?" Really? That title was provocative enough for me to want to read more..... HERE is the article it headlines.
You'll see, waaay down the article, that his wife says this bomb suspect is 'proud to be an American, loves his country, loves his family.' He has a funny way of showing it, doesn't he, considering he was arrested for having "allegedly" plotted to attack a Seattle recruiting center........here is information that shows just how 'proud' of America he is: (sarcasm there, trust me):
"We must establish jihad," Abdul-Latif said in a video posted in May. "I don't care what anybody says about that: You can turn me in to the FBI or whatever. We need to establish jihad with the tongue, with the heart and with the hand."
In particular, Abdul-Latif singles out U.S.-born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. The United States has put the radical Muslim leader, now in Yemen, on a kill-or-capture list, something that irked Abdul-Latif about President Barack Obama.
"He's made war against Islam," Abdul-Latif said. "He's even put a hit out on Anwar Al-Awlaki, our brother sheikh — may Allah protect him."
Here's his lawyer gearing up for the trial:
Abdul-Latif reported having "a lot of abandonment" growing up, the report said. He was raised by his mother until he was 12, when he moved in with his father, who was absent for long periods of time "and neglected to provide enough food and other essentials."
Are we going to now have to guarantee happy childhoods AND entitlements to everyone just to make sure they don't wig out on us?
How do we find and combat Muslims, or anyone else, with these intentions and where are the Muslims who don't approve of this behavior and march in the thousands against it? Wouldn't that be a comfort? But, then, there's always the one who'll blow things up. It's not dissimilar to the situation with Israel and Palestine; Palestinians are allowed to live there and peace settles in and then, out of the clear blue sky, a Palestinian blows up an Israeli bus of innocent Jews. CNN covers the atrocity that's been done to innocent Jews in Tel Aviv for five minutes and then covers the Israeli retribution to Palestine for twenty minutes....but I digress..............
Do you think this attack situation is going to step up in the United States now? And, if Israel can't handle it in that tiny country with their amazing intelligence agencies and a pro-Israeli government working hard against it, how will WE?
And what the HECK kind of title on this story was THAT, anyway? How about "was thought to have been a proud American?" ?? Is there a reason to mislead like that? And, do you think he's a "one off" case? Yes, we know he's "off", but......... And are we prejudiced for suggesting there might be more with similar plans who are said to be "proud Americans" by their family and friends?

Yes, those muslims we are told by leftwingers we don't have to worry about sure do give thinking Americans something to worry about, don't they?

Funny how it's only patriotic when the tea party spews this.
Are you suggesting islamist hardliners blowing up recruiting stations here are refreshing their 'tree of liberty'? That this Muslim is a "patriot'? really?
Context, Bd, context
What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure. Our Convention has been too much impressed by the insurrection of Massachusets: and in the spur of the moment they are setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order. I hope in god this article will be rectified before the new constitution is accepted." - Thomas Jefferson
JIHAD. That is what this is, period. Since the moon-worshiper in question didn't manage to die a 'martyr's' death, now it's going to be spun as just another isolated incident.
Sure, this piece of crap is a proud American, which is why he's trying to turn this country into a Sharia state. Otherwise, he could just move to some hellhole Islamist country.
AND I am SO SICK of the 'bad childhood' defense. Boo-hoo.
You're an adult now, even if you have a hard time with figuring out right from wrong and you had a mean daddy, I'm pretty sure even this idiot realizes that blowing up a recruitment center is ILLEGAL.
" Seattle bomb plot suspect is proud American"
The title says more about the writer of the article than about the subject. It is a joke. Only, the writer doesn't get it.
Benedict Arnold was a proud American until the day he died, too. Like the jihadie, he just wanted to own and run things, or kill you if he couldn't get his way.
That's the story.
Bob "The title says more about the writer of the article than about the subject." Exactly.
Scotty.. not sure 'context' helps some people.
Brooke...imagine? Now we've got jihadists pulling the 'abuse excuse'? And political correctness will save him...wait for it. To hell with the families of those he'd have killed.
Scotty.. not sure 'context' helps some people.
Yeah, you're right but, we can pray for just a slight bit of reading comprehension can't we?? ;-)
The title is more of the whitewash of Islam.
Still waiting for those hordes of "moderate Muslims" to take to the streets and to "take back" their faith.
Sure, there are a few moderate voices out there. But not nearly enough -- and the hardliners declare these moderates "not true Muslims," which means they aren't following the will of Allah. Dr. Tawfik Hamid, a moderate Muslim with whom I've spoken face to face, has to live in hiding, with security, to protect himself and his family from certain practitioners of Islam.
Wow, I get censored and Bd gets to post.
The only thing I regret is not finding out whether you ever held a job. It's obvious your from leisure, but just how much have you ever contributed to this erth, Calvinist?
AOW...no worries....according to some idiot leftwingers "we have nothing to worry about..." no matter HOW MUCH PROOF we have that we have plenty to worry about.
Ducky...my GOODNESS, aren't you offended!
Well....there ya go.
I left your comment this time just so others can see it.
I wrote a long comment here in response and just deleted it. Frankly,I DON'T CARE how you feel anymore. Really. You've insulted, name-called, been disgustingly elitist, and have never ONCE shown a shred of goodness or kindness; I've warned you and you persist. So, you're GONE!
When you can play nicely, you're back.
My blog...my rules.
Bd will be deleted, too...anybody who can't talk with maturity and kindness here is gone.
have a great day! I'm quite enjoying moderation. But, I will say one thing; when one is busy, it's not that easy.
Ducky’s impertinence must reflect the kind of parenting he received.
Are you suggesting islamist hardliners blowing up recruiting stations here are refreshing their 'tree of liberty'? That this Muslim is a "patriot'? really?
Of course Bd is, Z. One of the few organizations on this Earth that desires to slaughter Americans more that al Qaeda does is the Democratic Party. The history of the left-wing, from Robespierre through Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, etc has not been anything but murderers getting their kill on. It's all they care about.
You've already witnessed Ducky wish death upon Andrew Breitbart. Bd obviously comes from the dark corner of the Democratic Party that isn't content with "just" 1.2 million babies aborted per year in America.
And so now we have Bd calling a Muslim extremism planning a bombing attack a "patriot."
The Democratic Partry sure has come a long way from helping the Soviet Union take over eastern Europe, hasn't it?
Duck,
Quit whining.
If you don't like how this blog is administrated, you have the freedom to fly away. I'm sure that you can find plenty of blogs that welcome your quacking.
Sam, I don't know. I just know that one doesn't treat one's hostess that way. It's taken me a while (3 1/2 years), but I see my blog suffering for it, so he and others won't be here.
They had their chances: kindness, linked information, sound discussions of differing viewpoints...no problem.
But what I'm getting lately? no way.
Beamish "And so now we have Bd calling a Muslim extremism planning a bombing attack a "patriot." "
That's the only way anybody could take that comment. unreal.
AOW..imagine spending your day coming to a place you supposedly hate and where your attitude isn't welcome? Beats me.
Mustang; what do YOU think is stopping more muslims from marching in large numbers? Fear? Retribution? Disinterest?
As for media, it seems so odd to me STILL. I am still not used to the amazing bias, I really am not; though I highlight it here nearly every day. It just seems so unamerican to me...and then that side calls FOX names.
Astonishing.
I think most Moslems living in the US get up and go to work every day, just as we do, and don’t give much thought to what extremists do. In many ways, they are doing what every immigrant group in America did at one time or another … they developed ethnic enclaves where they could do business with others just like them. So they aren’t really too concerned what one group or another thinks of them.
Do you remember when Jim Jones fed Democrat Tea to all of his followers in Guiana? I’m a Christian, but never felt the need to accept responsibility for that incident. Jones was a whacko, pure and simple. There was nothing Christian about what he did, and so no one in the Christian community stepped forward to apologize. I think it’s the same thing among Moslems, particularly in the United States.
If I’m wrong, it won’t be the first time.
Mustang, I see the truth in what you say; Yes, why should every Muslim feel guilt for those who are trying to do so much damage?
On the other hand, I'd have thought good Muslims want non-Muslims to trust them. Why not go a little extra mile merit that instead of pushing like CAIR, etc. etc.?
While there are supposedly reports that some muslims have turned in wannabe Jihadists (of course, this is said by a commenter here who says there ARE no wannabe jihadists and we're just 'bed wetters'..), I'd like to see more of that. Maybe there IS more and we don't hear about it because the bell-ringers are fearful for their lives so they'd rather stay anonymous?
And then we see saleswomen at, for example, Abercrombie and Fitch, suing the store because the store demands they wear a headscarf that matches their store colors...when all the other employees' clothes do match the colors.
This, and so many stories like it, have to stop....stop PUSHING.
Z,
imagine spending your day coming to a place you supposedly hate and where your attitude isn't welcome? Beats me.
My father used to utter choice words about people who keep on going to a place that doesn't want them around. Just sayin'.
