You know anybody who feels this way?

Mr and Mrs Z have to get a new air conditioning unit. Instead of the $8000 we were told it would cost 10 years ago (we put it off because we were going to be living in Europe and Florida much of that time, anyway), the bid today, from a very reliable, highly recommended company, was $2700. MUCH better. . . They start tomorrow morning. I tell you this because...........

The company we used is a father/son act. Great guys. Hispanics, great reputation, fine people. I was writing the check for the down payment when the father said goodbye and headed back out to their truck to wait for his son, about 23, who was writing the receipt for me. I asked him "How's business?"

He said "It's picking up...it was pretty slow there for a while..."
I said "Well, when the government's telling us things are as bad as the Great Depression and things might get worse before they're better, who wants to buy anything new or hire anybody?"
He said "You're right....I watch Bloomberg News and they say that, too."
I asked if he was a conservative....and he said "No, well, I'm a Democrat."
I asked "How's that vote working out for you? Are you.....sorry you voted for Obama?"
He said "Yes, I think I really am........" He looked up at me very sheepishly.
I told him I was no McCain fan, but at least he wouldn't be doing what Obama's doing to us now.
And he said "I wish I'd voted for McCain now, I really do."

It was tough to hear but I wanted to tell you this. I wonder how many other Obama voters are feeling this way. I thanked this guy, Eric, for being honest...I added that "..it was very exciting to vote for a young Black man, wasn't it, we'd all like to see a guy like that in the White House who could have done a really good job....but look what he's doing..." Eric agreed.

You know of anyone who feels the same way Eric does now....? I'd love to hear it.

I settle for Obama, have to, until a real leftist presence emerges in this country.

I know, Ducky, I know.......it can't be left enough for you.
But most people really do love this country.

Well the odds on bet is that Obama is going to drop his public option in the so called "health care reform".

If you can find a progressive movement in America, let me know.

GEEEZZ!!!

Just stopping in to check your ID.

I'm still pissed at these mush heads that voted for Benito. There's no excuse.

Good blogging!

Ducky, it's liberal, not progressive...there's nothing progressive in buying private companies, forcing union members to vote in public, driving private healthcare companies out of business...(you want to name a conservative leader who agrees with this stuff?)
it's progressive to do good things to move America forward BUT have on foot on her hem so's she doesn't go too far....to hold on to her values, her history, the intent of her forefathers and (dare I say it?) THE CONSTITUTION. THERE's a thought.

I know a couple who are sorry (one of whom took a felt marker and wrote I'm So Sorry over the Obama sticker on his car. I also know a couple who didn't vote because there was no good choices available who wish they would have voted.

Tell us Ducky, what would a "real" leftist be doing right now. I'm sure we'd all like to know. Or, give us a name like, oh, Stalin, Hitler, or Mao to better illustrate your wishes.

"If you can find a progressive movement in America, let me know."

Btw, you misspelled regressive.

Ducky,

I see you're still miffed about Obama declaring Israel has a right to exist.

You can still firebomb synagogues in France though.

I do, actually. I have a friend online who loves to argue with me about Obama and politics. He's so smug and thinks he's always right. Gotta love that... not. Last time I felt like sparring with him he said and I quote "Let's not, I'm not so thrilled with the man myself at this point."

I haven't spoken to the strongest BHO supporters I personally know -- my neighbor and his son.

Maybe I'll check with my neighbor's wife. She didn't vote for BHO, and she and her husbands were really at odds before the November election.

I love how lefties redefine words.

e.g. racist, progressive, politically correct, is, sexual relations

If the latest polls are to be believed, around 60% of Independents are curretly suffering from "voters remorse" for having pulled the lever for Obama

Ducky: I'm very curious. In your ideal world, in your ideal government, what is it that you would really want?

Too bad the regret is only settling in now, when it's too late.

Most of the liberals I know DON"T VOTE!

My liberal dem friend who is very politically active probably won't admit it even if she is dissatisfied.

My vote for McCain was really a vote against Obama. I only regret that I had but one vote to cast for my country.

I am positive that if the election were to be held today, the outcome would be entirely different. I personally know several people who have remorse.

My former co-teacher does. She flipped her lid when Obama told businesses not to come to Las Vegas. Said she'd never vote for him again, that he stabbed the state of Nevada in the back.

Just to show how bad I can't stand Obama, I voted for McCain. Wasn't even a struggle.

I voted for Nixon. Still in penance.
