And they thought WE were "FISHY?" Cass Sunstein, you're a whack job but you just got confirmed

COULD THIS FISH SANDWICH SUE US?

From the New York Times Science page comes this : "The world’s insatiable appetite for fish, with its disastrous effects on populations of favorites like red snapper, monkfish and tuna, has driven commercial fleets to deeper waters in search of creatures unlikely to star on the Food Network." Man, it makes me feel guilty to eat fish again, doesn't it you? Who comes first, a human being or a fish? And can't we farm them? But....check this out.......it gets worse;

Did you know the guy who said the following is Cass Sunstein, who JUST got confirmed as Director of Information and Regulatory Affairs?: I will suggest that animals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives, to prevent violations of current law....Laws designed to protect animals against cruelty and abuse should be amended or interpreted to give a private cause of action against those who violate them, so as to allow private people to supplement the efforts of public prosecutors."

Senator Lieberman knows that and voted for him and Liberman warned that hunters were concerned about Sunstein’s position on gun rights. Sunstein has offered assurances that he supports the individual right to arms and will take no steps to promote litigation on behalf of animals. OH, REALLY, Mr. Sunstein and Mr. Lieberman? CHECK THIS OUT! Is this the best we can hope for?! HERE is an article that is fairly even handed, especially for ABC, and has some pros and cons about Sunstein which aren't the point of my post but give some promise about him. The animal rights thing sticks in my craw....how nutty and FISHY can you GET?

OH, THIS is the woman!! Check this out: Sunstein’s wife, Samantha Power, a Harvard human rights scholar, resigned from Obama’s presidential campaign in March 2008 after calling his rival, Hillary Clinton, a “monster.” She later joined Obama’s administration as a national-security aide and is coordinating U.S. efforts to help Iraqi refugees." I'll just bet the White House Christmas party might get interesting! Or the "White House HOLIDAY PARTY?" or "WINTER PARTY?" or, how about the "Anything BUT CHRISTMAS Party?" I don't know....and I'm digressing here. It's all very fishy to me.

President Flounder stikes again! Don't worry about this guy using the powers of his new post for his insane beliefs. He promises he "will take no steps". Ugh!

A few snippets from a post I did on Sunstein back on July 12:

Cass Sunstein, a Harvard Law professor who has been appointed to a shadowy post that will grant him powers that are merely mind-boggling, explicitly supports using the courts to impose a "chilling effect" on speech that might hurt someone's feelings. He thinks that the bloggers have been rampaging out of control and that new laws need to be written to corral them.

[...]

Sunstein also believes that - whether you're a blogger, The New York Times or a Web hosting service - you should be held responsible even for what your commenters say.

[...]

He doesn't like so-called false rumors about his longtime University of Chicago friend and colleague, Barack Obama.

And now he's been confirmed?

This beggars belief!

What is happening to America?

Elmer's Brother - Who got 2 years? The snake or the owner?

On a more serious note, more wackos from the left are taking up residence in our capitol. Where do they find them all, and how many political favors does Obama owe?

Another radical nut job that Obama didn't know was a nut job.

Does Obama, the cheeseburger lovin' president, know this guy thinks that hamburger once was on par with the president?

Does Sunstein have a bumper sticker like the one I saw on a young woman's car? It said "Eat People First". Now there's a healthy attitude.

The inmates are running the asylum, and the zoo cages are filled with people, while lawyers represent Cheetah the Chimp.

This is our President's administration, more accurately called, "Bedlam".

Sunstein is perfectly normal for the administration of President BO (President out of respect for the office; BO because his agenda stinks): hire a radical with a tainted philosophy, pretend you did not know he had a tainted philosophy and watch him get pressured to (I hope) resign.

Everybody...they confirmed him, including "independent" Lieberman....so, now what? Where are the Republicans? When the Libs have the numbers, America's dead.
You want to talk PAY BACK? Why else would Lieberman champion this whack job?

As far as animals having rights over people; this is long coming:

Huge bunches of naked people photographed by artists...a new TV ad where a guy comes up to a woman and says he needs to know his girlfriend's breast size (with his hands held out, fingers bent as if he's got his girl's breasts in his hands) and they go through a 'cantaloupe' to 'orange' size or something (it's either new or I just noticed it tonight)...pills to make a man get it up discussed on television, naked women demanding the right to walk outside their house naked, towns allowing nudity on their streets, abortion on demand, killing babies of failed abortion attempts, ...
I could go ON and ON. How are WE now better than ANIMALS? HOW?

This is about taking the holiness and beauty out of PEOPLE and elevating FISH, for example.
Sunstein is a COMPLETE WHACK JOB when he can say ANIMALS HAVE RIGHTS>
Of course NOBODY wants animals hurt, but rights over HUMANS?

You know that, in the Central Valley in California, people are without jobs..thousands of them, and their homes are in foreclosure because the environmental WHACK JOBS decided a little fish could become extinct if they didn't turn the water off..ALL water is OFF to all that bread basket of California, which makes YOUR prices in Cincinnatti go up, too, by the way. Everything's drying up..it's a nightmare and YOUR MEDIA'S barely covering it..if at all. FOX did. And it's the truth, but the msm? NAAA They suddenly don't care about PEOPLE, including tons of illegals without jobs...those same illegals they champion when they're doing their bidding.

The FISH, that tiny thing nobody'd notice or care is extinct, is coming before THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.

This is the new America.......people are nothing; God is nothing. Long live the state. Long live THE ONE. @#$&@*(#$&()@$#

I wonder if Sunstein believes that fish should be taught about masturbation in their schools.

A buddy of mine used to run a commercial fishing boat out of Orleans on Cape Cod. He does carpentry now, the fish are gone.

I know the right wing has trouble thinking past the next hour but fish stocks are in serious danger and they have historically provided a lot of the world populations protein.

Yup, z, some of those "extra" people actually depend on fish to live and to make a living but since doing otherwise might inconvenience the elect we can continue to overfish, correct?

He's more conservative on the second amendment than Robert Bork.

I always enjoy the gun loons wailing that Bork (father of the "judicial activism" concept) wasn't confirmed. He believed the second amendment confirmed nothing more than the right to join a state regulated militia.

Your history lesson today brought to you by your literate friends on the left.

Ducky, you always take everything to such the extreme it's a bit difficult to enter into any kind of reasonable discussion with you.

Please tell us the importance of a very small fish and how its existence trumps the lives of thousands of families who've been in the California central valley all these years.

As for gun control; Please see the WSJ journal link. Sunstein isn't all bad, it's just that his bad is so crazy one wonders at any person who'd nominate let alone confirm him.
