Associated Press came very close to being even-handed regarding Obama's speech tonight. I figured with my anger at the dishonest media I so often blog about, the least I could do was link the article HERE where they showed they were putting truth before Obama's assertions.. Congrats, AP. Now, read Heidianne's blog (linked below)... fascinating stuff, I promise!

That's remarkable that a MSM giant came through.
Here's another article from AP by Woodward and Werner. It's about fact checking NObama on his speech tonight.

Very untypical of AP to be rather unbiased for a change. What's up with that, is Hell freezing over?
"In another olive branch to Republicans, Obama indicated that he'd support some "demonstration projects" to try setting experimental limits on medical malpractice lawsuits — long a Republican goal that Democrats typically oppose."
I'm not holding my breath on that one.
Average American,
Very untypical of AP to be rather unbiased for a change. What's up with that, is Hell freezing over?
Obama's approval ratings are roughly 10 points lower than his disapproval ratings.
The media is starting to realize that this President sucks.
See my blog on last nights speech.
As the truth is finally getting through to more Americans exactly what Obama's real agenda is, I think more of the media will begin to find fault with this president. Not the President's channel though. NBC is not going to change. Those people are so far left there's no hope!
My post about BHO's speech last night is up. Actually, I posted about something other than the speech itself, though I hope that commenters will discuss the speech as well.
I'll check out Heidianne's post today!
Big mistake by the Republicans - NEVER pre-record a response to a presidential address.
Fox made it look like it was live, when it clearly was not live.
Further, Joe Wilson's retort has only dug the Repubs a deeper hole.
Did anyone take note that McCain was the first one to demand an apology? He is the biggest RINO of them all.
The thing is, there are more and more dems converting to conservatism. It was only a matter of time before we "got to" one who works in the media. They should be ashamed of how they have acted to this time. Kudos to the AP, the writer and editors, who put out the fact check on Obama. I bet their invitation to the next W H beer party just got canceled.
Well there is still hope after all. I will give credit this time to the AP or as I like to call them "The Associated [terrorist]Press."
I am shameless - stop by and read a real life mystery I have written about. I promise you will not be disappointed Miss Z!
I heard someone commenting yesterday Steve that that remark is only an excuse for the media to try and resurrect Obama. They want to write a comeback story so bad that they're grasping at straws. Before the speech notice he was down in the polls etc etc....now he's going to be the comeback kid.
Obama likes to focus his speeches, as Michael Moore does, on the fact that so many other countries have so many more insured people we do. What they don't discuss is the verifiable fact that these same countries have some of the most horrible health care in the world. Having lived in Canada for 3 years and having a child born there, I say it doesn't do me much good to brag about my coverage if I'm waiting for 3 years to have broken ankle surgery, or wait so long for a routine EKG appointment that the hospital actually sends me a letter apologizing in advance if I die before my scheduled appointment.
Elbro, Wilson's outburst put us on the slippery slope to public health insurance, no doubt about it.
I'm going to write on it. I'm stunned Obama's on AGAIN this morning LIVE apparently having gone over what went over well and what didn't and extrapolating and emphasizing the positives.
The man never stops.
Again, he's on how we won't lose our private insurance. Either he's STUPID or a LIAR or I'd sure like to see where that part of the bill got changed.
THAT is what would have affected MY feelings about this bill..."We had said THAT and we know most didn't like it, so we're making sure that doesn't happen by doing THIS"..
NOTHING like that. More damned rhetoric that went NOWHERE. And, the airwaves are full of him again now.
no I wouldn't blame Wilson...it's the media...they're smelling blood
it's like FJ said Wilson was the only one to speak the truth last night
Elbro, .the Wilson outburst has completely taken off the pressure from a lot that Obama said that's wrong, things he's STILL hiding...(see my new post) and gives the leftwing whackos ammo like never before. And, let's face it, Americans are swayed....we don't like bad manners too much, from either side.
I disagree...one doesn't yell YOU LIE to a president during a speech to COngress..., truth or not. And, according to the info I had to dug up, since our media won't, Wilson was right.
Obama's the one who should have apologized, by the way.
bad manners or not...I agree with FJ
you do remember what the Democrats did during Bush's speech to Congress?
He was booed and laughed at by Democratic members of Congress.
bad manners, booing and hissing are part of the deal...it happens when the President speaks to Congress
the media is making a mountain out of a molehill for the sake of resurrecting this bill and for calling BHO the comeback kid
Elbro, and you have every right to feel like you do, as I do.
YOU LIE isn't jeering...
YOU LIE just obfuscated all the GOOD OBama could have done last night IF people had heard he STILL isn't telling the truth and still is covering up his stances....
YOU LIE just put him back on the front page in a good way and shoved all Republicans back down into the OBSTRUCTIONIST, NASTY place the Dems like them.
I think you and I both are right, frankly.......Wilson deserved to have said it and I wish he'd waited for afterwards....
Much ado about nothing. Just another far right winger who got a little feisty because Ellen DeGeneres being named to the panel of American Idol is proof of the complete victory of the gay agenda.
I think Wilson yelling like that was a mistake. It clearly wasn't enough.
He should've thrown a hammer at Obama's head instead.
Now THAT would be one heck of a good one.
Much ado about nothing. Just another far right winger who got a little feisty because Ellen DeGeneres being named to the panel of American Idol is proof of the complete victory of the gay agenda.
I thought that had already been done when Simon Cowell was made a judge.
and leave it to duhkkky to bring up a homosexual bromide that has no segue
