Lies from YOU or Obama? (oh, and did you notice what the WH tried to sneak by you again?...down below?)

Let me start by saying that for an event the media didn't give as much coverage to as they did the Million Man March and MANY other Washington protests (all day on CNN, hours upon hours, remember? etc.), the Leftwinger White House spinners are sure TALKING about it. It might not be such a big deal to them, but I'm thinking over a million in DC and thousands across the country in other cities is something our media just might have covered. But, let's get down to business, shall we?~! Here goes........

David Axelrod WEIGHS IN....."I don't believe that some of the angriest, most strident voices we saw during the summer were representative of the thousands of town hall meetings that went on around the country that came off peacefully, that were constructive," he said.

Just a guess here, but I do believe the only town hall meetings not demanding clarification and truth were those at the end of August, where Democrats were making sure Democrats were filling the halls first. "...these two Democrats said supporters of the health care legislation were permitted entry before opponents, so they could filibuster the meeting and create the illusion of unqualified support for the bill." We've all heard about these meetings...there were few, but they happened.

We're seeing a bit too much of Saul Alinsky, School yard bullying (which Obama warned about to our school children last week in his speech), Obama's suggesting you are a LIAR when there is so much showing that...um.........'someone else' is.

When CBS NEWS points out the many flaws in Obama's speech last week to the Congress, the many ways he's not quite as forthcoming as Mr. Axelrod and Mr. Gibbs would have you believe, you know there's trouble brewing. Personally? I don't think YOU are the liars, America. And I don't believe any of us should be subjected to a president who suggest you are.

From this ARTICLE : "Dr. Wayne Kawalek, an emergency-room physician from Cleveland, said he, too, was concerned about the consequences of the president's health care plan. "The Obama administration is going about this in the wrong way. This is a huge debacle. It's sad that we've come this far," he said." I couldn't agree with you more, Dr. Kawalek. Keep up the fight. You're not lying, you're warning. America needs that.

By the way, folks...("well whaddayaknow?") ..you're becoming more and more successful. Keep it up.

"Look, this has got out of hand...we DO believe Americans need better coverage and we believe in our plan but it's quite clear all Americans don't...quite a few don't...and we want Americans to know , and we'll prove it, that we are going to have fifty percent Republicans and fifty percent Democrats at the table and they're not going to be the squishy ones...the Republicans who hate our ideas are welcome, the Democrats veering to the Right are welcome. We have to admit we have not been as bipartisan as we'd wished (Heck, blame Pelosi or Reid, YOU CAN DO IT, OBAMA..you can probably even find a way to BLAME BUSH again, right?) and we're turning over a new leaf. We criticized Bush unmercifully for never talking about his weaknesses and we don't want to be that way...so... this is a NEW DAY IN AMERICA....AND, as people in Germany and other European countries do when there's this far reaching a plan, this big a change, we're going to GO SLOW and GET IT RIGHT"

Ok, I'll do the calling tomorrow, and save him the trouble. I'm calling Senators Grassley, Enzi and Snowe tomorrow. I suggest you all do the same.
All three republicans who I understand may compromise. Let's keep the pressure on.

Here's why;

First of all, who funds the non-profit co-op? Guess.

Secondly, how can the private insurance industry with added government regulations btw, compete with that? It can't.

Enter the back door to government insured healthcare. Which is government healthcare.

It's all smoke and mirrors, and against the will of the people. Of course we're too stupid to see through it. Just ask Bill "Playboy" Maher.

The federal govt. is responsible for regulating commerce. They could deregulate the existing prohibition on interstate insurance businesses, and allow the free market to reign. That competition would ultimately lower prices. But, that's not going to happen.

Secondly, they could pass tort reform. That ain't happenin' either.

Those now in power, want total control over the people. They don't care about our health. In this case, just ask our veterans. Read their end of life counseling booklet.

It's about power pure and simple.

Z - No kidding! Of course we both know we don't dream pleasant dreams these days. Also, this dictatorial White House is too combative to do the smart political thing. They really believe they shouldn't be questioned, or they really are that stupid. Actually, it's both.

This latest revelation coupled with the military's newest rules of engagement, (extra care regarding collateral damage), is a double whammy ensuring more American deaths in Afghanistan.

America under this CIC, is opting for less risk for Afghanies over a higher risk for our own Americans, who he charged with this mission.

Holder is trying to reinstate
miranda rights for the enemy. Why not just wave the white flag and get it over with?

But of course why care any more for our fighting Americans than those of us here at home? This must be that "more nuanced" war John Kerry talked about.

This is a crime. It's a sham, and it's costing more of our brave young men's lives. How are they able to interrogate prisoners as to ambushes, and IED traps? This sickens me. How much more insanity do we have to tolerate?

Right. The democrats just had pre-orchestrated groans and boos. And in one case I remember, against Reagan during a State of the Union address, inappropriate laughter. The only thing missing was a conductor.

Yes we all know how, after a "W" speech, Reid called him a liar and a loser.

Paragons of virtue those democrats huh? Now they'll waste time humiliating Wilson, which of course they have down to a science.

Writing a coherent bill, however, is beyond their capability. They can't respond to questions about their own bills.

I remember months ago posting that it was time for another Hartford Convention (1815-16) and getting some replies that we needed to be careful about possibly touching off a constitutional convention.

I think if that were to occur the states would probably amend the constitution to prohibit profligate government spending. The people have finally awakened and the congress is sufficiently scared of losing their jobs that they will act on the desires of their constituents, provided of course, we keep the pressure on. The congress is like a puppie, you need to correct them immediately when they mess up, otherwise they forget.

As Locke said, the government exists only to protect the rights of the people. My ninth graders are getting a dose of the Enlightenment thinkers, John Locke foremost among them.

His ideas abound in the Declaration, most notably in the second section which is the most eloquent narration on Western democracy ever written.

In part it reads that if the government fails to protect the rights of the people, they may "alter or abolish it." "We are endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights, among these is life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

I think the people are speaking, loudly and clearly.

I've been otherwise occupied lately. Now I'm back. Sorry.

Law and Order, I agree. The tea party movement should push for constitution modifications on spending and also on reinforcing the power of the states.

Other things they talked about at the Thu events was to file lawsuits against all those bills. It's not easy especially when the bills mention that no citizen can file one against government. But even that should be the subject of a constitutional amendment saying no bill could contain such a clause.

I am beginning to see a bloodbath at the polls next year that could possibly bring on a movement to impeach the imposter of 1600 Pennslyvania Avenue. The only thing that might save him and many in congress will be if they smarten up concerning health scare. I also see cap and trade as a close to non issue because of what we average Americans are doing. Can you even imagine what would happen to any of those jokers if they even dare to try to pass that piece of crap?

Z, When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation:

1. Obama is trying to overthrow and Socialize America.

2. Obama is giving aid and comfort to our enemies.

3 Obama is violating the Constitution by bypassing the Congress in his creation of unaccountable "czars".

We need to separate our beloved country from this rogue government in the same way in which our forefathers separated from England.

First, declare our independence.

Then, revolt, peacefully if possible, by asking Obama, politely, to step down. If that doesn't work, impeachment proceedings should be initiated.

If that doesn't work, we must arm ourselves and be ready to shed blood. We must take our country back from this narcissistic despot.

If not now, when? If not us, Who?

The cost issue is not one actually. It's only used to manipulate peak brains such as yours. Here's why:
- A lot more disposable income in the US
- More preventive care
- Doctors and nurses paid a lot better than France for example
- More advanced science
- More R&D
- Drug makers making profit in the US to compensate the set prices of medications in other countries

How do you explain France is not able to control costs despite paying nurses 1200-2000 a month? Or setting fixed prices for doctor visits? Or medications?

It matters because if you have more, you spend more. That includes myself. I go to the dermatologist, the dentist, the massage therapist, the chiropractor, etc...

Than the French for example. Science budget in France are abysmal. Great scientists come to the US b/c they get paid and they have the funding. Dr Montagnier went to UCLA.

Medication prices are set in Canada, France and I believe in Germany and other countries. So to make the profit necessary to keep R&D going they increase prices here. And they do have to advertise to make sales and keep the return on investment. It's a catch 22.

The US mortality rate minus crime and car accidents, therefore measuring the "health state" of the nation, is actually one of the top in the world.

Why are cancer treatment success rates higher in the US?

Also the mortality rate is also an indicator of diet and health practices, not just medical care.
When you have one third of the population that is obese, it's easy to understand that the mortality rate may very well be due to the life style.

If you want to use stats, use them thoroughly and drill down.

I look at those stats and knowing we have so many guns, so many obese people who don't exercise, I find the stats fairly remarkable.

We can live a relatively long life in a free country.

I'll take that over a longer life in a prison.
