Trace Adkins Sings with the West Point Glee Club

"It's not about the war, it's about the warrior....." Please make sure you watch until the end. I got this as an email with the words attached "I am so proud to be an American." Ya. Feels nice.

Seems that in order to be proud you need a military theme. Why is that, z?

Thanks Z, and God bless country music and it's artists for this fine presentation and reception it received.

Ducky, I'm sure Z will speak for herself as she always does so eloquently.

I can only speak for myself.

I am proud of our heroes. Men and women who put their lives on the line every day to fight for freedom, and to protect our country.

I'm also proud of Americans who rose up at home, and in a sense, are doing their part to join the fight. But here at home, the risk is small, over there in foreign lands that is not so.

There is no one I am more proud of than these brave young Americans who put on the uniform for a cause greater than themselves, and those who went before them.

If we want peace, there is only peace through strength. There can be no freedom without the willingness to fight for it. When you learn that, you will understand such pride.

We can all pray that we remain vigilant, remain prepared and strong, and that our willingness to fight will be enough to keep aggressors against us at bay.

Why wouldn't any American be proud? Only a fool who believes freedom is not worth fighting for.

Yes, this American is damn proud, and unashamed to say so.

really? who said, Ducky?
Conservatives are always proud of their country; it just takes seeing young people who want to stand up for her to make us even more proud.
"it takes military to be proud of America?" REALLY?

Pris...it takes all kinds, doesn't it? But, there's only ONE KIND who'll fight hard for the other kind's right to live without any feeling of responsibility to our country.

Yes Z, you've got it right as usual. Ingratitude seems to be a hallmark of the left. Very sad.

To Mr Ducky:

Yes. I need a military theme.

Because I don't know of a rousing Economic Theme.

I don't know of a rousing Bank Theme.

I don't know of a rousing Porkulus Theme.

I don't know of a rousing Deficit Theme.

I don't know of any of those themes -- and even IF I did, how could I possibly be PROUD of them, sir?

Gee, I hope you are thinking of us liberals..I was very proud to stand during the 'Army Goes Rolling Along' on the plains of West Point when my daughter and son in law were professors there.
Enlisted in '63, served as enlisted & and an officer.
(I know, I know, libs are weird!)

Ditto that -- I am so proud to be an American.

I'll never understand how Libs can possibly think otherwise.

BB, read Ducky's comment at the top which I responded to.
Of course liberals are more lax on military than Conservatives; it's a given. And, to say no liberals would fight for America is NUTS.

Seems in order for Ducky and leftists to be proud there should be no military celebrations until after the death camps are set up.

Z,
Our military members and police officers are the heroes in our country. Yeah, I'm proud to be an American. Read Zell Miller's speech at the 2004 Republican Convention. I have a copy on the wall of my classroom. It says it all. Good post.

I'll try to find it and post it.
