Orson Welles on Julia Ward Howe.....Great stuff you don't want to miss

Would that celebrities would (could?) talk like this today. Why would you want to listen to Welles about Howe today? It seems so right, especially these days.....
I think you'll enjoy it. Z

You thought right. I enjoyed it muchly. Really moves the emotions when you hear something so deserving get such a fine recognition.

It´s been so long since I heard Orson Welles' voice, I never realized how much Kelsey Grammer sounds like him, so I suppose he could talk like that today. But who he could talk about is a more difficult question to answer. Maybe a blogger.

Wonderful to hear...and no, they don't speak like this anymore, do they?

BTW: In reference to your question over my way about Germany...I was stationed there in the late '80s. I had a wonderful time in a wonderful place...and couldn't wait to get back to free (well, sorta free) ground here in the States.

Z, this is wonderful. Battle Hymn of the Republic, my favorite to sing when I was in choir in HS. It's not easy to sing with a lump in your throat. So powerful.

Orson Welles was perfect for this. That rich, compelling voice, and with such sincerity.

Thanks Z.
