After the death of Kennedy, Massachusetts might have a chance to throw off the cloak of insanity that kept electing and evil, elitist LEFTIST.

I SURE hope so!

I'd have to look at this guy carefully boefore commiting campaign dollars.

Sure, it's tempting to want to increase the number of "R's" in the Senate, but is it an "R" we want?

You already know how I feel about de-partisanizing the Senate by repealing the 17th Amendment to the Constitution. The Senate is supposed to represent state governments, not national parties.

Besides, a "Massachussetts Republican" is either Mitt Romney, gay, or both. There's something just not right about that state (pun intended)

We want right, not necessarily Republican.

beamish...that's a great way to lose 2010, to say he's not Right ENOUGH.
We have to get Republicans in there and go from there, in my opinion.
ANYTHING is better than another leftwing Marxist, don't you think?
I wish we had the luxury to pick and choose which Conservative...

I'm probably too idealistic in wanting to de-partisanize the Senate and have them representing their own state governments, and checking against how federal power will affect their state's power.

I hate knowing the names of Senators from other states. I shouldn't have to care.

And that, perhaps makes me uneasy about helping a campaign for a not-from-my-state Senate seat that "idealistically" should have nothing to do with me or Missourians.

Sometimes I think Missouri should go to war with Massachussetts, the little county sized cesspool pretending to be a state.

I'm ranting.

Truth, absolute truth.

I have decided to vote for this guy. Oh he's a complete arse who wants nothing more than the return to tinkle down economics and hasn't had an original idea in twenty years but I refuse to vote for some dippy hack coat holder like Martha Coakley.

The dumb liberals (N.B. I am a LEFTIST) from Cambridge, Brookline and Newton will be out in force for Martha and just swooning over being inclusive.

I'd rather show the Dems that they better move to the left or the party is finished. We just give it to idiots like Brown (you should here this stooge try to speak) and build something in time or let these jerks take it down and then we see what we build from the ashes.

Yeah Beamish, we have nothing in Massachusetts to compete with Branson.

Imagine, I have the boredom of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts announcing it may have found a new daVinci and you have the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum.

No, Beamish, I get your point better now and admire your comment you made after mine. I see what you mean about wishing you'd never heard of Reid and Pelosi (even if they weren't monsters?)

Ducky, I had to laugh begrudgingly at the Ripley's line! heh

Z,

Imagine an America where to compliment the voice of your community in Washington DC represented by your Congressman, you'd be active in your state's politics because the state legislature appoints your state's Senators in DC.

That's how it used to be. How the Founding Fathers intended it.

It would breed better citizens and better statesmen.

Ducky,

You got me there, believe it or not. Say, does that brewery up there that doesn't put women in its commercials still put that twinkletoe fruit flavor crap in their beer? Boston Felcher, I think it's called.
