Mass. union voters need to be ASKED TO VOTE??

Massachusetts unions are saying they'd have voted for Coakley if only they'd been ASKED. If this is yet another leftwinger media's report trying to show Brown really wasn't popular, doesn't that backfire on the leftwingers?
Don't union voters THINK? Are they just puppets that vote WHEN ASKED and VOTE THE WAY THEY ARE TOLD? OR, does this imply they need PAYMENT to get their people out and the Dems were too late in their payments? No ticky, no laundry with a union?

From the link below:
"Union members can't be taken for granted," said a labor source who confirmed the statistics. And in Massachusetts, "we weren't called in to the emergency till the end." Don't they have TELEVISION in their homes? Newspapers? Didn't they know the left depends on the union vote?

What do you think of THIS article's information? I found it very, very odd.

Good morning Z. What the hell is up with this?

..."we weren't called in to the emergency till the end"....

Excuse me, BUT THERE WAS NO EMERGENCY UNTIL THE END!!!!! Just 3 weeks before the special election, Martha Coakley's lead was well into double digits, was it not?

And union voters needed to be called in? Your point is totally valid, are they not individual American voters? Do they really need their union to instruct them?

I don't know the total number of union members in Massachusetts, but surely many of them turned out to vote. Turnout was 50%. Surely some of those voters belonged to unions.

It's an asinine statement!

oh, good, am glad you agree, FW...I just couldn't believe it.
These are INDIVIDUAL AMERICANS FIRST, aren't they?...aren't they first Americans who VOTE for things happening in their area? Or are they REALLY just UNION PUPPETS? Are they TOLD by the unions to stay home till you hear how to vote, from US?
VERY VERY odd.

and by the way...hats off to the unions for NOT informing their puppets in time ! :-)

Called in? ASKED?!?

This isn't Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, people. You know damn well when an election is held.

Hmmm... I wonder why everyone in the union is presumed to vote the same way...

HA!

That's why those people are on the left. They need to be asked to do something. They don't understand personal responsibility, commitment, work ethics or sense of being proactive. They're whiny babies that need to get pampered.

And then we want to be led by the people that support this kind of folks?

Great way to elevate a society! Pathetic!

What you have here is a critique of the Coakley campaign. She was MIA and thought she had it in the bag so she didn't run.

She wasn't running events in minority neighborhoods, didn't get her sign holders out until way to late, refused to appear on radio.

Then there was the infamous incident after the Bruins played the "winter classic" at Fenway. Brown was there mingling and shaking hands. No Martha and on a local talk show she asked why she should be out in the cold shaking hands.

The article is about her campaign and her failure to get her campaign workers out. As a result her turnout was lousy. Just a poor campaign from a woman who was really running her first competitive campaign and got her teeth kicked in.

Just a lousy campaign from someone who represents the new left: an intelligentsia who despises the people and use them to establish power, yet has little consideration for them.

"Or are they REALLY just UNION PUPPETS?"

I'd say it depends on the union, Z. There are hundreds of unions in this country. Many of the unions represent educated, trained professionals (like pilots, aircraft technicians and engineers) who aren't likely to be amenable to coercion. Then there are unions like SEIU, whose rank & file members work in lower-skilled jobs, ergo their ovine qualities.

The reason SEIU leader, Andy Stern, is constantly visiting the White House, is because his imprimatur is all over the now dead-in-the-water healthcare legislation. His goal is simple, he wants to unionize ALL those who work in supportive roles in healthcare. There are millions of folks working in hospitals, doctors offices, nursing homes, clinics, blood testing labs, physical therapy, dental offices ... the list is endless. And most are not very highly paid & their benefits are few.

Can you imagine the explosion in healthcare costs if SEIU succeeds in unionizing all these individuals? That is an enormous part of the stalled healthcare bill. We must make sure it doesn't pass and we have to take back Congress in November!

Ducky, that isn't at all what the article says; The point is that those in unions have to wait to be told to vote and who to vote FOR...and, if they don't get told, they don't vote?
What's up with leftwingers? America deserves people who are thinking for themselves, stay aware of voting dates, the issues, etc...like Conservatives!

That's why the left is losing. They're the new aristocrats. (Some GOP members are too like Graham.)

Pelosi is a horrible woman

froglegs, I live in Massachusetts and I have been involved in many campaigns.

To say that Coakley is "New Left" is so deranged that you can only be called stupid. She's nothing but a go along to get along hack.

Now, it's to bad nobody came out for the primary because if Mike Capuano (D - Somerville) had won he would have punched Scott Browen's face in. Mike is old school left but instead we got that wimp Coakley.

But have a listen to Obama's town meeting in Ohio today and tell me this isn't going to backfire on you fools. You weren't happy with his triangulating and being more right than left. Nope, you made him realize he better drop this bipartisan crap quick.

Bye-bye Bernanke you cheap Wall Street pimp.

I love it when a plan comes together. You think you won frog legs? Make way for the adults you child.

Check the video link I posted above, wimpy duck. You'll understand what I mean from one Democrat since you don't want to listen to me.

You're just a pathetic clueless individual. You're so stuck in your camp. Talk about endoctrination.

And your photo gives me the chills. Looks totally psychotic. Aside from our dear friend with the gun, everybody uses pretty nice pictures (Eiffel Tower, paintings, etc...) But yours is creepy and menacing.

The union members are used in much the same way as the blacks. Vote how we tell you and we will take care of you. No independent thought needed. Some find this paternalism comforting. Others, like me, find it offensive.

BTW while O'Booboo flaps his gums about JOBS, the market drops. Hmmmm, could it be that we don't believe his lies?

Another thing to celebrate: Air America filed for chapter 7.

Thank you my son.

Air America is out of money AGAIN?

Well, since they've filed for bankruptcy, we can expect leftists to start calling for "equal time" on successful conservative talk radio, since they can't cut it on their own.

Ducky's here said...

Well Brooke, Air America was fairly successful.

Helped get Al Franken elected to the Senate.

Got Rachel Maddow on prime time.

Locally 1510-AM has most of the lineup. Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann and some good local progressives. Right wing talk has been on the decline in Boston ever since Jay Severin got suspended for calling hospital waiting rooms, "Condos for illegals". He's 18th in his slot although Howie Carr still gets a decent rating.

The local scene is pretty good. To bad about your limited choice in flyover country but I'm not sure the right can handle choice.

Who's watching MadCow? You?

Thank god you don't run the economy. You'd juge success on weird criteria, like the Soviets would.

FrogBurger said...

And by the way, I like when Maddow was with Tucker. At least they were debating and she was bringing something to the table.

Z said...

Ducky, leave it to YOU to explain how liberals love liberal radio so much Air America has to shut down.

You're priceless!!

Ducky, the problem you leftists have is you can't get past your arrogance. You can't campaign on the truth, so you obfuscate and lie to the electorate. Well, the people have caught on. Your words fall on deaf ears, and well they should.

Ms. Coakly was no different. Elitism and arrogance are a turn off for regular folks. Even "normal" Democrats. Many of whom are now considered independents, along with disaffected Republicans, and libertarians.

The unions were taken for granted as were democrats in Massachussetts. If they really were motivated to vote, they would have. It was thought that "Kennedy's" seat was somehow magic political elixer for voters.

Arrogance, pure and simple, and
the Kennedy stamp died with Teddy.

Obama and the left are 0 for 3. A political hat trick for the winning side. And, don't look now but we're not finished, we've just started.

my own union used 33% of our union dues and union members themselves to get Obama elected.

I was so disgusted.

Elbro...Leftwingers: ONE SIDE ONLY, PLEASE. We're closing the doors to Republicans on the health bill, we're not inviting anyone with a differing viewpoint to a Bali Climate change conference, we have Rachel Maddow and Olbermann both of whom NEVER have a person from the other side so they don't have to THINK and ARGUE...
amazing...

Z,
If ever there was proof of the sheephood of unionists this article is it. I am humiliated for them in that they think this article is about political analysis. It's simply more proof for what we all knew. The left is about indoctrination.
