"RAP" your mind around THIS one....CONSERVATIVE RAP...

Ya, ya...I know you don't like rap, but YOU HAVE GOT TO HEAR THIS ONE!  It's fantastic!

I have to admit I've always kind of liked most rap;  if your head doesn't bob just a TAD while listening to this, I don't know what's wrong with your head! :-)

Sunday Faith Blog

I have a slightly different perspective on Obama omitting "Our creator" from speeches.....Please bear with me.......This might seem a more political Faith Blog than usual but I don't mean it to be... please put the politics aside and watch the video below........it's very short.

Mr. Obama left our "our Creator" when speaking to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. He did it again on September 23 at a fundraiser in New York City. And he did it yet a third time in Rockville, Md. when speaking to Democratic Senate candidate donors.
Whether you're a person of faith, an agnostic or an atheist, is it a good idea for a sitting president to misquote from the Declaration of Independence?   Isn't that something that deserves criticism, correction, SOME acknowledgment that he isn't representing our founding documents as they were written?  I can't imagine what Obama's Christian advisers think of these omissions.  If, as children, we'd misquoted what our teachers had asked us to memorize in the Declaration, this omission would have brought us a C minus, assuming all else had been quoted correctly.  I find it odd that GOD needs to go. Certainly, even a "Deist" would find that odd, no?

"Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name."  Psalms 91:14.

Acknowledge Him.........it'll be an even better Sunday.

I have to admit that I do, too, especially since November 2 is coming...........Let's hope it's more TREAT than TRICKS, huh?

Listen carefully to this and see his sincerity and love for this country and why.   We need to bring this sentiment back and we can.    Vote for your candidates who are like Rubio..(if you're lucky enough to find one).......America deserves it.

JUST heard on FOX

By now, all of you have heard about the suspicious packages sent from Yemen to the UK and America, but I thought this was a riot and thought you should know:

FOX's Megyn Kelly had just given the news that "two SYNAGOGUES in Chicago were destinations for some of these suspicious packages"....Two minutes later she read breaking news, live, right off of her computer..."Chicago FBI says that all places of worship must be on guard....Synagogues, Churches and MOSQUES...... because some packages were intended for 'places of worship'."
Right.  Ya THINK many mosques need to be vigilant?  :-)  Thanks, Chicago FBI, we love PC FBI alerts.

UPDATE:  I just heard Judith Miller ("a liberal on FOX?") say how well our intelligence is working through what looks like a terror attempt instead of a 'dry run' now that they've actually found an explosive, and I couldn't help but think of gratitude for the Bush administration for having put so much of this in place.    If Obama can say that "it's Bush's economy we're struggling with", almost 2 years later, can they give Bush "it's Bush's diligence" almost 2 years later, too?  Just wondering.  Or will this be all Obama's greatness :-)?

The REAL truth about Obama care....

A NEW HEALTHCARE VIDEO: This is horrifying.

I don't know who this candidate is but VOTE FOR HIM and vote for anybody AGAINST Obamacare.......
Stop listening to the LIES, especially how "you can keep your private insurance if you like it."   My own agent has warned me that "you won't be able to afford the new premiums, I don't know many who can...you're going to have to enroll in the government plan."  That's one of the "Blues", folks, not some high and mighty special expensive plan.  When nobody can afford the premiums, it won't EXIST, you won't be able to "keep your private insurance" and, if Obama didn't know that, he's stupid; if he did understand the consequences of his plan and says what he's saying to us, he's lying.  Listen through this video..........it's about time somebody told us the truth.

wake me up on November 3

Disheartened? I sure am

We have a president who refers to Republicans (half the country) as "The enemy", we have talk show hosts calling Republican candidates "bitches"and saying they're "going to hell", we have campaigns calling other Republican women candidates "whores",  we have a media which skipped a pretty important story about possible fraud in Nevada, some would prefer not to say the Pledge of Allegiance and then say anybody who respects the Pledge is part of a 'mob' which, it appears, is just too patriotic for their taste,  we have a mosque probably going in 2 blocks from Ground Zero against the wishes of nearly every New Yorker and most Americans, this great country's letting scum print secrets about our military and can't do a thing about it, etc etc. There's so much more, but I just don't have the energy to mention and link them...........fire away in 'comments' if it helps you to vent.
Tuesday night, I watched two minutes of Anderson Cooper on CNN where he did a story ridiculing candidates saying anything they want, getting caught, and then saying "what I said was 'out of context'" ..For examples of this, he used 3 Republican candidates and Rod Blagojevich, as if they're all similar people (Clever and cunning on Anderson's part, huh? CNN in campaign mode. Does the DNC pay the liberal media?)!
And, Tuesday night, Meg Whitman got booed for not agreeing with Matt Lauer that informing Californians about Jerry Brown's shortcomings in office over the last forty years is "negative campaigning!" !!  And Brown gets cheered for saying he won't run negative ads after all he's done to Whitman ("the whore" and illegal employee hirer).........what?
Where's our country going?  Will civility ever return?  Do you think we have a chance?

Would THIS help, maybe?

To our fellow Americans,
We on the right remind you to vote on November 2 and please vote only once and only if you're legal, because we have rules in this country and getting back to those rules just might help.  Also, if you see fraud, please let someone know.
We speak to you today, however, to emphasize something we feel will convince you to vote for your Republican candidate:  We want to take Congress over and SLOW DOWN.
We want to make sure all of your representatives have read the bills.
We want to make sure we go slow enough to be sure what's in the bills will be helpful, not a hindrance, to our economy.  We will actually welcome all insight into the planning.
We want to review the Constitution and make sure people on both sides of the aisle are more familiar with it than what has been shown these last almost two years.
We would like to make sure that Democrats AND Republicans can weigh in on what's happening in Washington.
We really will stop earmarks.
We really will explain to you what's happening, not just promise that.
And we will never call any American "the enemy."
Oh, and we really are the "party of No"...No out of control government, no rushing to make mistakes.

But, as we said before, what we most want to do is SLOW DOWN, WAIT! we are in no hurry, especially not to hurry into passing bills that nobody knows the content of.   We don't care if the president says "we can't go fast enough" (See the video at Mustang's blog) We know that 'going fast' isn't the answer, 'going all out to do it right' is.
Think before you vote.......we need a Congress which is really looking after America, not just growing government and throwing good money after bad.  Thank you, America.

No Pledge of Allegiance?

Really?.......think again..........

The video's bad enough, but this quote from the article really did me in:  "The moderator further irked the crowd afterward, saying she felt "disrespected" by being "forced" to include the pledge "in presumably a planned way."  She felt disrespected?  SHE DID, after dissing the Pledge?  See, in her mind, it has to have been 'planned'..it's that nasty Rightwing that PLANNED this insurrection, according to her.  OR she figures that deflection might take from the gravity and bad press of her having said they hadn't planned for the Pledge of Allegiance. Sorry, Ms. Tate-Bradish, trying to put the shoe on the other foot didn't work...Better go back for more ideas from the the supposedly nonpartisan League of Women Voters.
Then you get the left suggesting it doesn't make  you patriotic to say the Pledge or wear a Flag Pin.  NO, it doesn't, what's questionable is disallowing it....and then throwing a fit that the challenge is "planned"....

Do you think every meeting like this ought to start with the Pledge?  Do you think the Pledge should be on the meeting's agenda?  How the heck has the leftwing been so successful at making AMERICANS feel 'overboard' for flying a flag, wearing a pin or saying the pledge, for heaven's sake?

Chile's rescue was largely due to US

I was emailed this and would love to give credit to the blogger or whoever else put it together... I Googled and plenty are carrying this piece but. regardless of who compiled this list and my not being able to give credit where credit is due, I had to have it here because I remember thinking how weird it was that President Obama said nothing about the great involvement of American companies in rescuing the Chilean miners.  I wonder if it's because these are those 'horrible private companies' that Obama hates?    Too bad HE couldn't give credit where credit was due.

Far be it for an American President to publicly congratulate (let alone even mention) AMERICAN ingenuity and AMERICAN PRIVATE ENTERPRISE for the miracle rescue of the Chilean Miners.

Schramm Inc. of West Chester, Pennsylvania built the drills and equipment used to reach the trapped miners.

Center Rock Company, also from Pennsylvania, built the drill bits used to reach the miners.

UPS, the US shipping company, delivered the 13-ton drilling equipment from Pennsylvania to Chile in less than 48 hours.

Crews from Layne Christensen Company of Wichita Kansas and its subsidiary Geotec Boyles Bros. worked the drills and machinery to locate and reach the miners and then enlarge the holes to ultimately rescue them.

Jeff Hart of Denver Colorado was called off his job drilling water wells for the U.S. Army's forward operating bases in Afghanistan to lead the drilling crew that reached the miners.

Atlas Copco Construction Mining Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin provided consulting on how to make drilling equipment from different sources work together under differing pressure specifications.

Aries Central California Video of Fresno California designed the special cameras that were lowered nearly a mile into the ground sending back video of the miners.

Zephyr Technologies of Annapolis Maryland, made the remote monitors of vital signs that miners will wear during their ascent.

NASA Engineers designed the "Phoenix" capsule that miners would be brought to the surface in, and provided medical consulting, special diets and spandex suits to maintain miners' blood pressure as they're brought back to the surface.

Oh, and Candadian-based Precision Drilling Corp. and South-African company Murray & Roberts, drilled a backup rescue shafts in case the American rig failed. Which it didn't.

What I want to know is how the heck UPS got that huge 13-ton drill into one of their brown UPS trucks. :-)

Obama's economy......WHO's fault is it??

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:
At the time:
1. The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
2. The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
3. The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
4. George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
Remember the day…
1. January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
2. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
3. Thank Congress for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment to this CRISIS by dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fiasco’s!
(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001, because it was financially risky for the U.S. economy, but no one was listening).
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA.

Bill Maher..........Where does he come UP with this stuff!?

And people apparently BELIEVE Maher!??
I got this email on Sunday and felt like I ought to share it with you.............this is from a buddy from L.A. who now lives in Anderson, Indiana  ...well, you can see for yourself what happened....here's his email:
Z - I turned on the TV to watch a little football and the station that came on had Bill Maher and a panel that included Rob Reiner. I decided to see what the liberals are talking about so I stayed tuned. After Maher insulted Sarah Palin about the crowds she draws (sarcastically stating that Yanni draws crowds) I wasn't too surprised, but get this:
He then says that 35% of Republicans (presumably in Congress) wanted him (Obama) impeached last year before he had even done anything! Obvious implication because he is black.
And then he says that "52" of Republicans believe Obama wants to set up Sharia law in the US.
This was just in the first few minutes that I watched! I decided the guy is such a lying partisan I wouldn't give him the respect of watching anymore.
Point is; Do people really believe what this guy says? And if so, I can understand why the divisiveness just keeps getting worse on the part of the liberals who on their own are not necessarily ugly people. But when indoctrinated like this, it becomes understandable why so many are bitter toward Republicans.    MGM
Z: Yanni draws crowds so you can discount the crowds of Palin?  WHAT?  And, can someone give me any proof that 35% of Republicans wanted Obama impeached in his first year?  35%??  Did Maher do a POLL?  And "52" Republicans think Obama wants Sharia Law here?  Which 52?   I'll wait for a list.   And yet, people believe BILL MAHER.  WHY?  The funniest thing is watching Larry King sit awed by what he appears to think is THE GREAT BILL MAHER's every word......I just don't get it.   Not that I wasn't a fan years ago, but he's become so nasty, negative and full of unfounded comments like the ones above........wow.
My friend MGM's right....the indoctrination people soak up without looking into facts is scary.

Vote with Obama...he's really so concerned :-)

Is THIS article a joke?  Here's the first paragraph:

"WASHINGTON – Preparing for political life after a bruising election, President Obama will put greater emphasis on fiscal discipline, a nod to a nation sick of spending and to a Congress poised to become more Republican, conservative and determined to stop him."
Obama's "Sick of spending"? "Determined to stop" WHAT?   I can't stop laughing at this article......and the Associated Press's campaigning.......get this paragraph!:

"Even though Obama and the Republicans ostensibly share the goals of reducing debt and creating jobs, they disagree fundamentally on their approaches. That problem appears to be worsened by the lack of a serious working relationship among the leaders. If divided government simply leads to more division over the budget and economy, newly empowered Republicans and a Democratic president seeking re-election may both pay the price."

Well, looks like you'd all better vote Democrat, according to the AP,  because this president TRIED, he always welcomed the Republicans to the table, let them weigh in on health care, listened to them re the Stimulus (you laughing yet?)...and any MORE divisiveness, ALL caused by those greedy, nasty Republicans, will make all of us "pay the price!"    Man, you can't make this stuff up.
But the Associated Press sure will :-)

Swimming in hot water.............Fran Crippen dies

THIS happened today.  A swimmer, Fran Crippen, died while swimming in the United Arab Emirates.
Here's the AP opening paragraph:
"Fran Crippen, a medal-winning open-water swimmer on the U.S. national team, told his coach he wasn’t feeling well late in a race before he died in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday."
"The 26-year-old from a family of prominent swimmers in suburban Philadelphia was competing in the FINA Open Water 10-kilometer World Cup in Fujairah, south of Dubai, but failed to finish and was found in the water two hours later, according to Swimming World."

He wasn't feeling well, did they discuss his stopping? Did he insist he go on? nothing said about that......here's more from the article:

"In addition to Crippen, Maglione said three other swimmers - two U.S. women and one Brazilian - were taken to a hospital.  The magazine said the water temperature was in the mid- to high-80s, and several swimmers were treated for heat exhaustion after the race. “They are not in any kind of problem,” he said."
They weren't in any kind of problem but were taken to the hospital?
  And, more:

"Competitors all described the conditions as unusually hot, but would not comment about Crippen’s death.  “These are very hot conditions for swimming,” said Thomas Lurz of Germany, who won the men’s race.  Evgeny Drattsev of Russia, who came in second, admitted he had never competed in such warm conditions before.  “The water was really hot and it was a kind of new experience for me here,” he said.
Crippen’s death has raised the possibility that a 15-kilometer open-water grand prix that is supposed to be held at the same venue Wednesday could be canceled."  Ya THINK?

Z: I'm not one to think all has to be called off, or a sport should be eliminated from competition, because of one awful accident, but this terrible death's kind of haunting to me.  The fellow said he didn't feel well, and his body was found two hours later in the water?   Don't they at least have helicopters or something hovering above open-water swimmers?  Meanwhile, a terrific, talented 26 yr old kid's dead.  This breaks my heart.
What do YOU think of the details of this story??
z

Barbara Boxer.....I just heard everybody's blogging this; well, watch it again for me :-) .

You'll love this one!
Pray that woman is NOT reelected!   I'll never forget watching CSPAN about 10 years ago and she was making a presentation to a senate hearing and at least 2 of the charts and graphs she held up to make a point had spelling mistakes on them. That, and the fact that she's done so little for our state is so disheartening when I consider voters could pick her again.   As a California who has had to be represented by this woman for far, far too long, I was just cringing, so this video was a thing of beauty to me!

Disturbing and shocking... what kind of talk is this for a president?

"The Empire's Striking BACK?"   Is this how a PRESIDENT should talk?   Should a PRESIDENT be slamming "insurance companies and banks?"  He keeps slamming businesses and acting as if all of them are rotten to the core....he so clearly shows the leftist pablum he's been fed all his life,  the views of his mentors, the thug mentality he learned in Chicago.   Are presidents supposed to treat the other side of the political aisle as filth to be done away with?  REALLY?  This is really disheartening.

I can't imagine an American president sinking this low.........it's shocking and disturbing and a real threat to any semblance of further civility in our country.

Listen to the boots on the ground, Pentagon

KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN -- To the U.S. Army soldiers and Marines serving here, some things seem so obviously true that they are beyond debate. Among those perceived truths: The restrictive rules of engagement that they have to fight under have made serving in combat far more dangerous for them, while allowing the Taliban to return to a position of strength.
"If they use rockets to hit the [forward operating base] we can't shoot back because they were within 500 meters of the village. If they shoot at us and drop their weapon in the process we can't shoot back," said Spc. Charles Brooks, 26, a U.S. Army medic with 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, in Zabul province.
Word had come down the morning Brooks spoke to this reporter that watch towers surrounding the base were going to be dismantled because Afghan village elders, some sympathetic to the Taliban, complained they were invading their village privacy. "We have to take down our towers because it offends them and now the Taliban can set up mortars and we can't see them," Brooks added, with disgust.
In June, Gen. David Petraeus, who took command here after the self-inflicted demise of Gen. Stanley McChrystal, told Congress that he was weighing a major change with rules for engaging enemy fighters in Afghanistan. That has not yet happened, troops say. Soldiers and Marines continue to be held back by what they believe to be strict rules imposed by the government of President Hamid Karzai designed with one objective: limit Afghan civilian casualties.
"I don't think the military leaders, president or anybody really cares about what we're going through," said Spc. Matthew "Silver" Fuhrken, 25, from Watertown, N.Y. "I'm sick of people trying to cover up what's really going on over here. They won't let us do our job. I don't care if they try to kick me out for what I'm saying -- war is war and this is no war. I don't know what this is."
To the soldiers and Marines risking their lives in Afghanistan, restrictions on their ability to aggressively attack the Taliban have led to another enormous frustration stalking morale: the fear that the Karzai government, with the prodding of the administration of President Obama, will negotiate a peace with the Taliban that wastes all the sacrifices by the U.S. here. Those fears intensified when news reached the enlisted ranks that the Karzai government, with the backing of senior Obama officials, was entering a new round of negotiations with the Taliban.
"If we walk away, cut a deal with the Taliban, desert the people who needed us most, then this war was pointless," said Pvt. Jeffrey Ward, with 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, who is stationed at Forward Operating Base Bullard in southern Afghanistan.
"Everyone dies for their own reasons but it's sad to think that our friends, the troops, have given their lives for something we're not going to see through."
Other soldiers agreed. They said they feared few officials in the Pentagon understand the reality on the ground.
From the front lines, the U.S. backing of the Karzai government, widely seen as riddled with corruption by the Afghans living in local villages, has given the Taliban a position of power in villages while undercutting U.S. moral authority.
Corrupt government officials have made "it impossible for us to trust anyone," said elder Sha Barar, from the village of Sha Joy. The people of that village and many others profess fear of the Taliban, and recount tales of brutality and wanton killings by the Taliban and their sympathizers. But they don't see the Karzai government as a positive force in their lives.
Karzai said that talks need to continue with the Taliban "at a fixed address and with a more open agenda to tell us how to bring peace to Afghanistan and Pakistan."
But U.S. troops and Marines interviewed during the past month in Afghanistan question what negotiations would really mean, to both them and the Afghan people. And they almost universally believe that negotiating would be a mistake before achieving decisive gains they believe are attainable once oppressive rules of engagement are relaxed.
"What does it mean if we give in to the Taliban? They are the enemy," Brooks said. "This place is going to be a safe haven for terrorists again. The government doesn't care about the sacrifices already made. As far as the mission goes, I want to see these kids go to school and have a future but not at the expense of my friends -- not anymore."

Illegals and Gumballs.........worth the few minutes, I promise

PLEASE WATCH. For about ten years now, I've been saying that we should help illegals stay in their countries instead of turning a blind eye to illegals ruining ours with what our left seems to feel are their entitlements;  that it would be cheaper to us and less harmful to our economy, infrastructure, society, etc., to have them stay where they are and maybe we could send 1/8 the amount of money we're spending here now on them and make sure the money we send creates jobs and food and opportunities for their own people in their own countries which they'd rather stay in anyway.  Let THEIR countries be their 'sanctuary countries', come to think of it!  I know some of you won't agree, that's fine, but I see it as one possible solution.  This video should be seen and passed around, please do:

THIS is worth your read...Tom did a fabulous job writing about the economy.

15 minutes of Network Television................

I've been lazy this morning and lolling around drinking tea and watching TV because we have had a lovely rainy few days here in West Los Angeles, a welcome change to "it never rains in sunny California"........I love it, it's dark, cozy, the kind of day when you want to stay inside.  I wish I could, I have to leave around noon, so I took advantage of the morning.  I looked at a book I'm reading but decided I was even too lazy to read and so I watched network television, something I almost never do.   Here's what I found:

The very early LA morning news, around 6:30 am, always (always) has women delivering the news in very low cut cocktail dresses with long, dangly earrings and stiletto heels. I do watch that from time to time, and it never fails to make me curious who'd ever dress like that so early in the morning.

CBS was talking about the political races getting tighter and tighter (which they are, folks, we need to be a little less optimistic and keep hammering friends/family to vote), Republican leads of a week or two ago are dwindling.   Here's one reason why they're dwindling:
During the short segment, CBS only discussed perceived gaffes, carefully edited, of Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell and Republican Buck from Colorado, whose highly important lead is shrinking by the second.  That was it...short snippets from Republican candidates to show why the gaffes they've made have their races  tightening, as if they were Dem campaign ads.  No mention of any gaffes by the Dems.....It was announced as "this is why the races are tightening" and that was that.  What it was, of course, was a great opportunity to show gaffes.......that's all.   Does the DNC pay for this kind of advertising by network TV?

Rachael Ray...She had on some couple which hosts a TV show called "Strictest Parents" (or something like that?)...they talked about how kids put vodka into their eye so they can get higher faster, how kids are choking each other and themselves for a thrill, and how kids can find 'how to make flame throwers' on the internet (all had videos as kind of a 'how to').   During the segment, the mother of this parental couple was smiling the whole time.  "Here's how they kill themselves" ..big smile.  Her advice was to sit your kids down and list these things and have them sign that they won't ever do them.  (Yes, I'm serious.)

There's a new show called "Whatever" with 2 women who interviewed a really quite charming guy who identified himself as gay ....  they were talking about electronics and he said he just learned to text last week (which is better than me, by the way), and one of the hostesses said "Jennifer's been having SEX by Text message for FIVE YEARS!?"    He, of course, had the good taste and sense to ask "Jennifer" if she didn't mind having been outed just then in front of millions of people and she said no, it was fine, it was 'liberating'.   Yes, I'm serious again. The guy came back with "I just can't text that fast"...which was so clever and amusing I had to hand it to him.  um.........anyway:

CNN had a man from Uganda talking about how some new Ugandan newspaper has published the faces, names, etc., of 100 homosexuals so they can be outed and chastised in society. It's a dreadful story.  Here's what got to me:  The CNN reporter talked about how homophobic Ugandans have been and then said that "US Missionaries have encouraged the legislature of Uganda to push for laws making homosexuality punishable by imprisonment or even death."   REALLY?    Uganda's population is 1/3 Muslim so this slant of CNN's was not only questionable, but probably utterly ridiculous.   Of course, we know how accepting Islam is to the gay lifestyle :-)   Do you personally know one Christian who's want to kill any homosexual?

BUT, ABC redeemed the morning for me and my channel surfing finally paid off BIG TIME: There was Leon Russell on their CONCERT SERIES.........with Elton John, but who cares about Sir Elton?  (well, okay, he's good, but LEON WAS ON!)  My LEON was there...looking a little worse for age wear than I'd have hoped, and singing new stuff which doesn't meet his earlier standards but I was one happy girl to see him, believe me!   Leon, YOU ROCK!

For the rest of the shows I had seen?......What a way to ruin an otherwise lovely rainy, cozy morning.

VOTE DEMOCRAT, kids! (there's ice cream in it if you do:-)

From THIS article "Three van loads of Hughes High students were taken last week – during school hours – to vote and given sample ballots only for Democratic candidates and then taken for ice cream, a Monday lawsuit alleges."

Yes, I KNOW that the kids can't vote, let's not waste time commenting on that ..... please let's not obfuscate the facts.  "The suit alleges three van loads of Hughes High students arrived at the Downtown Board of Elections offices at 1 p.m. Wednesday, supervised by a school employee. School lets out at 3:15 p.m.
When they got out of the vans, the students, the suit alleges, also were accompanied by adults who appeared to be campaign workers or supporters for U.S. Rep. Steve Driehaus, D-West Price Hill, the congressman being challenged this fall by Steve Chabot. When the students got out of the vans, the suit alleges they were given sample ballots containing only Democratic candidates."

Think this is a good idea?  We do want kids to see precincts and sample ballots, but do we need to only show one party on the ballots?  Does this teach or mind bend?  There's a suit filed, this has yet to be proven, but the evidence is pretty clear.  Also, who'd go to the authorities without a sample ballot in hand?
If you think this is innocent, tell us here at geeeZ why you think they'd only have ballots with Democrats on them, okay?  Thanks.

I'd say it could get interesting and should get national airing, but, with our media, this story will go away with the rest of them which make the Dems look bad; heck, even Gloria Allred bitched that Hillary voters were intimidated in Houston during the '08 primary!  By the way, what got her to quiet down??  She was angry, speaking out, and now the story.......disappeared, like MAGIC!

Get a LOAD of this one.....

Please READ THIS ARTICLE....Thomas Sowell explains multiculturalism so well and it ties so well into my post just three posts down.   Sowell ROCKS.   The sorrowful thing is that I don't believe Germany or any other Western country will recover from their open-hearted stances of the past which have been largely greeted with disdainful open palms and little else.  Oh, and don't forget the signs saying "Germany will belong to Muslims soon!"
And PLEASE, I am a first and second generation American, so do NOT lecture me on how I'm heartless toward immigrants.  By the way, Heidianne, our friend and commenter, left a comment about a friend who's a teacher and knows many Hispanic kids who've lived here in America all of most of their lives and who don't speak ENGLISH well...How can they survive and flourish here without English?  My own beloved (you'd have adored him, too) grandfather came at 9 years old from Eastern Turkey (He was not a Turk) and learned English within a few months.  They didn't cater to HIM in his school in Troy, New York, they expected him, having come to America to be an American, to learn the language, and he did.  And he became the owner of 3 of Troy's best meat markets.
Why do so many in our country undersell the intelligence of Hispanic children?  I guess it's the soft bigotry of low expectations, as Mr. George Bush so articularly put it ( for a change :-)
Why do we expect any country to survive when other cultures insist on ignoring and even insulting and threatening that of the host country?

Ruining America's Universities...one by one...........thanks to the Left

Only a liberal like Jerry Brown would (sorry, COULD) go to UCLA and announce that "we have enough wealth to continue to have a great university..." and we need to "get every kid in the school that can qualify....EVERYONE! documented or NOT!" $$$   Then he says the first thing he'll do as Governor (GOD FORBID) is get a budget signed :-)  There's just no common sense known to these people.
Of course, there's HUGE applause from the crowd of kids because the kids whose parents are paying for UCLA don't realize that their brothers and sisters who were born and raised here and whose  parents are willing to pay won't have slots open to them, which is a phenomenon happening at the California Universities already.  Well, you know, political correctness, allowing illegals in and paying for them, that's what our kids have been indoctrinated with.  What an amazing situation...I guess Brown thinks illegals will LIKE us better if we pay for everything.  He KNOWS they'll love the Left, that's a given.
Imagine an AMERICA where a guy can run by promising law breakers free school and get votes?
Thanks, Lefties..........what a way to ruin a country...right after you totally ruin our university systems.
(thanks for the head's up, Pris)

Mrs. Obama wears a backward sweater and OH, the media's all a flutter!

Mrs. Obama, the media darling, is praised for wearing the same sweater twice!  WOW!...and she's praised for wearing Jimmy Choo shoes 'into the ground' since Inauguration Day.   Look at THIS if you can.  They LOVE HER, don't you? :-)

Here is the first paragraph of the linked article: "The first lady — who is, at times, hailed as fashionista-in-chief — seems to have morphed into a recessionista in residence: Michelle Obama has been seen recycling her outfits. Now, this is change we can believe in."   Gosh, isn't that ADORABLE?  (heh)

Laura Bush was certainly no fashion plate, but she sure did wear those beige pant suits and red gowns over and over again.........did you hear any media gushing?   I didn't either. Gad, how many times did we have to see that beige suit? At least she looked dignified.

MultiKulti isn't working in Germany.........Merkel finally speaks out

Angela Merkel, is the most courageous World Leader in Western Society........Have you see THIS STORY?  I'm glad Merkel is addressing the statement that brought such controversy, from a German Central Bank member, that the country was being made "more stupid" by poorly educated and unproductive Muslim migrants.  Which it is.  I've known about the controversy for months because my stepkids live in Munich and we all have wondered how Merkel would finally handle it.

Germany has every right to suggest that people without Christian VALUES (not having to hold to the Christian faith, nobody is saying that) are not lending anything positive to the country and haven't for years, in fact they're bringing it down in many ways.

Read this:  "Horst Seehofer, the leader of the CDU's Bavarian sister party, CSU, who represents the right-wing, recently said Germany did not "need more immigrants from different cultures like the Turks and Arabs" who are "more difficult" to integrate."    "more difficult"?   they don't WANT TO INTEGRATE.  I've seen this countless times in Germany, I've lived there, I KNOW this.  I've spoken to some immigrants; they like being supported, they're not there to integrate!  I know for a fact that they speak out about how Germany will no longer belong to Germans soon (and, of course, when Turkey is finally in the EU, God forbid, because passports are not necessary between EU countries, those muslims will finally fill even the small mosques being built in German villages with little or NO muslim demographic in them now, which Germans have been wondering about for years.."Why here?"  Because hoards are coming, that's why....)

Arabs, Muslims, Turks, Pakistanis, etc etc., have moved in and live on welfare from Germans and don't learn the language and  build ghettos and demand respect and pity.   And Germans, I guess, just have to suck it up.   And of course,  there is THIS.   The minute Germany says the slightest thing about difficulties between people there, they're accused of a rise of a Fourth Reich.   Odd that muslims have lived there for years and there hasn't been much trouble from naive Germans but the Germans will be the people blamed for the fact that they're not welcoming "DOWN WITH GERMANY" sentiment on signs at protests.   Why doesn't THAT ever get much notice in the press?  Why is it always the host country which is finally falling apart from the financial burden and from the nasty threats which is demeaned in the media and the rest of the left wing?  By the way, I got an email from my stepson in Munich today telling me that many high-caliber FOREIGNERS in Germany share Merkel's opinion.

Maybe, someday, we'll get those foreigners who love and support Germany speaking out and our media will let us know that, too.  Ya think? Germany, Austria, France, they can do NOTHING because of the left.........Vienna's trying to stop minarets from ruining their country amid signs by muslims threatening Austrian life as they know it, you all know what's happening in France regarding the burka, hijab, etc........now you finally hear about Germany, but did you know how threatened Germans have felt for years or are you just now hearing that they are FED UP and the media and other leftwingers are now more threatened by THAT than muslims?  What German would have particularly CARED if Muslims just came legally, contributed financially, and lived their lives as guests in a wonderful Western country?   What Austrian would have, what Frenchman?  But, the implication is it's THEIR FAULT multiculturalism IS NOT WORKING IN THE WEST?  REALLY?   Good for Merkel...my stepson thinks she'll get nowhere and receive nothing but disparagement from the outspoken bleeding-heart, naive left, but, at least it's a try.  Imagine what Germany's put up with and it's HER FAULT now?  WOW.

Sunday Faith Blog....

A little old lady was driving along the road when someone very abruptly and dangerously cut her off.
She felt more furious than she'd ever been before and began yelling and screaming and cursing and even used a gesture one wouldn't think that old ladies might use.
Well, the cops came and put her in jail.  She was calmer by now, more her usual demeanor, and perplexed.  She asked one cop what she'd done to put her in jail, she said the other driver almost killed her and that she didn't think yelling and cursing was an offense bad enough to jail someone.
The cop came back an hour later, hat in hand.  He told her that the car she was driving had a Christian 'fish' bumper sticker, a pro life sticker, and a few other Christian bumper stickers all over it.  She asked what was wrong with that.  He shuffled his feet and sheepishly smiled.
"We thought the car was stolen."

Live your faith! :-)
Ephesians 5:8 - "For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!"
You might be the only Bible anybody ever meets........a Bible in shoes.... have a great Sunday.

Our buddy "Imp" sent me this email (below in italics) and I had to share it with you because it so well captures what I whine about so much:  that the Dems obfuscate and/or deflect from really important matters with slogans that don't usually make sense let alone capture the true essence of the subject:

The large heavily populated Metro areas of the State are dominated by  emotional adolescents in the bodies of adults. I say this because my  liberal friends say they will vote for Jerry Brown because of narrow, emotional, social issues and/or blind obeisance to the letter "D."

If I say, "Jerry Brown empowered the unions to trash the state's  finances and is completely dependent upon them for his election  support" they say "Yes, but he's for a Woman's Right to Choose!"

If I say, "Jerry Brown wants to pass the Cap and Trade bill that will  cost an estimated 1,000,00 California jobs," they say "Yes, but he  loves the Environment."

If I say, "Jerry Brown trashed the judiciary system and as governor  his pro-criminal policies led to an explosion in crime rates. He says  he favors the same policies still!," they say "Yes, but he supports a Woman's Right to Choose."

They cling to these statements over and over like a drowning man  clutches at a straw - it doesn't matter how many facts I hit them with, or how many holes I can point out in their arguments, it falls  back to emotional positions. Oh, and that Meg Whitman's a bitch and they don't like her and she's an icky Republican.

We are being destroyed by these shallow, emotional children posing as adults.

The other day, I read an article which said the global warming bunch of scientists are worried that the earth's drying out....  One could say to a lefty here in California "You're drying out the WHOLE Central Valley which feeds about 30% of this country because of one little FISH which thrives elsewhere so why have you turned off the water?"   They'll come back with "We're for the environment!" (implying Conservatives just love filthy oceans and bad air, as usual).   Because of this fish, jobs have been lost, a huge amount of homes have foreclosed in that area, the economies have suffered in those towns in that area (less taxes for the State) and we have a lot less food for the country because "We are for the environment!"    Don't you wonder at the ridiculous little phrases of the Left and how so many of them actually don't THINK them through?  I sure do. Or, do they think them through but have an agenda..........which........WHAT, exactly?

Obama's Aunt................wow

Obama's aunt stands firm.........HERE............America's a great country and we owe her, from her point of view.   Her logic during this short interview astounds me and I can't help wondering what kind of man with approximately five million dollars doesn't help his illegal aunt to get off the public (that'd be US) dole.

She's kind of a metaphor for all of his dishonesty, in my opinion.
By the way, have any of you heard what her situation is now?  There was a hearing in February, 2010........but there seems to still be no decision on whether or not she should be deported.  The new story is she'll have to have asylum here because her being Obama's aunt could get her killed in Kenya.  (?)
But, why isn't he helping PAY FOR HER?

Chris Matthews: Conservatives would have let the Chilean miners die

As an adjunct to my post below, please see Always On Watch's blog HERE and watch the video.  This is the most stunning exhibition of biased stupidity I might have EVER SEEN.   You see,  MSNBC's Chris Matthews credit's Chile's President with having rescued the miners and suggests our Tea Party folks would have let the miners die rather than resort to government help.   When, in actuality, the rescue was a cooperation of Chile and many countries which came to help; the perfect Conservative situation, thanks to a Conservative president; NOT to rely solely on big government, but to use all expert resources available, right?  you really have to watch the video............it's kind of good for a laugh.
Thanks, AOW!

CNN and the miners...amazing

On CNN earlier, I heard a male news reader (off screen as they showed the miners) say "Ah,  there's the wife looking to hug her husband, knowing the world's watching this emotional moment!"...

The woman news reader responded with "I don't feel sorry for them; there are book and film deals,...." WOW, what compassion she has, huh?
.
LATER:  I just watched a bit more CNN, just in time to hear Larry King say he's going to ask his guest Michael Moore "Why do the miners do this job!?" Michael Moore was the scheduled guest and was there on the set but obviously preempted for the miner story...I had to laugh when King said "thanks for coming but we have an even BIGGER story than YOU!  I thought...is something bigger than Moore?, but decided I should be nice and not share this with you, so forget I said that :-)     I couldn't bear to hear what he responded with so I went back to FOX.  A few minutes ago, when I was changing channels again, I heard Michael Moore, when asked how he felt about the president of Chile, say he admired his hair....I thought "He must be a rightwing president"...and then he went into a diatribe about how "In Chile, they have universal health care, why can't WE in this country?"
I Googled Pinera, the president, and sure enough he's a Conservative who heads the National Renewal Party.(a name which I think has a real ring to it, don't you?  Anybody want to start one HERE? :-)

Viva Chile, I have even MORE respect for them now that I heard Senor Pinera's politics. AND, I'm even fonder of the miner who came out mid-morning our time, hugged him, and said to him "thank you, and keep on in the direction you're going...it's good for Chile!"  VIVA!

DON'T VOTE ABSENTEE if you can help it

I voted absentee a few years back because I hate going to the precinct here and having those who work there glare when I say REPUBLICAN. It's tiring, it's unAmerican, it's loathsome and they do it.   I've even seen Jimmy Buffet-shirted libs working precincts (when it's been old ladies over 90 for the last 20 years, suddenly these guys popped up) let a guy, who had moved but didn't show on the books, vote.  I did say something, but the Jimmy Buffet-cool banana leaf-shirted jerk with loafers and no socks said "You don't think EVERYBODY should vote?"   I said "Not if they're not registered, no."  BOY, did I get the glares.  SO, I'm not a stranger to wanting to avoid that scene, plus it's so much simpler, let's face it.

This November, I have advice;  DO NOT VOTE ABSENTEE IF YOU CAN AT ALL HELP IT.  I know some people MUST, I get that...but TRY not to.  I was going to post something on this soon but a friend called this morning and relayed this story about why she believes we have real reason to fear fraud this November and how absentee ballots are part of that situation so I thought I'd post it now.

Apparently, my friend's been a registrar for thirty years and she's always been worried about the integrity of the people at the voting headquarters.   She told me that she'd attended a Republican event a few years ago and 12 people signed up to vote.  She was downtown and decided to drop off in person the information to the office that takes the registration information.   A very surly and sloppy woman approached my friend and the woman looked at the applications  and said "They're all REPUBLICAN, don't you register anybody ELSE?"  "Yes, of course I do, that's the law," my friend said, "but I was just at a Republican event and these people wanted to register..."    The woman came back with "Next time you had better bring Democrat voters!"  She had many stories like that showing extreme bias but only had time to tell me this one.   She's worried about the caliber of those in charge of the votes on voting day and URGES you all to GO TO THE POLLS!

This year, we must stop all fraud.  I know you ALL feel as strongly as I do that Dems and Reps BOTH must STOP FRAUD because if we can't trust our voting process, what can we trust?  THIS was Dem fraud against Dems...I'm against THAT, too.  And, don't forget THIS!  Make sure you read THIS.
Now that I'm thoroughly outraged you, read THIS, a REALLY happy voting story from ...California!

Global Warming is cooling off...........

Take a look at THIS article by a scientist who says "Global warming is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific FRAUD I have seen in my long life".  Here is a paragraph I've italicized from the linked article:
For reasons that will soon become clear my former pride at being an APS Fellow all these years has been turned into shame, and I am forced, with no pleasure at all, to offer you my resignation from the Society.
It is of course, the global warming scam, with the (literally) trillions of dollars driving it, that has corrupted so many scientists, and has carried APS before it like a rogue wave. It is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist. Anyone who has the faintest doubt that this is so should force himself to read the ClimateGate documents, which lay it bare. (Montford’s book organizes the facts very well.) I don’t believe that any real physicist, nay scientist, can read that stuff without revulsion. I would almost make that revulsion a definition of the word scientist.
So what has the APS, as an organization, done in the face of this challenge? It has accepted the corruption as the norm, and gone along with it. For example:.....

The "For example" is WELL worth your time AND sending this to everyone you know.  Wake up, America, you're being duped and that does NOT mean that an expert who doesn't agree with the global warming story doesn't think we should have clean water or bright, clean skies.  Wake up to this WARMING stuff that a scientist with the following pedigree has disclaimed so soundly (along with many others, of course, but our media doesn't broadcast them):
Harold Lewis is Emeritus Professor of Physics, University of California, Santa Barbara, former Chairman; Former member Defense Science Board, chmn of Technology panel; Chairman DSB study on Nuclear Winter; Former member Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards; Former member, President’s Nuclear Safety Oversight Committee; Chairman APS study on Nuclear Reactor Safety
Chairman Risk Assessment Review Group; Co-founder and former Chairman of JASON; Former member USAF Scientific Advisory Board; Served in US Navy in WW II; books: Technological Risk (about, surprise, technological risk) and Why Flip a Coin (about decision making)

You think it's time for her to retire? :-)  A bottle of white-out and a computer screen? YIKES!

A Chilean miner who doesn't want to be rescued! And how long would YOU have lasted down there?

One Chilean miner just might be asking "Can I go LAST?  After you...no after YOU....you go, I'll go later............no, that's OK, YOU go first!"  as they wait in line to inch up that long, long shaft to freedom and fresh air.  He might want to go last because his wife heard a woman yelling his name when the cave-in happened and found out that was his mistress...read HERE!
He might be the miner who isn't quite as glad as the others that they'll be coming up very SOON.......which is GOOD NEWS.   (For most of them, that is!)
By the way, I have no trouble admitting that I'm very sure I'd have never made it like these guys have..........could YOU have even gone down there to work let alone stayed sane in this situation?

Dressing like Hitler........

There's a story about a GOP candidate who was in a reenactment of WWII and wore a Nazi uniform.  Well, apparently, he's been told off rather soundly........Read HERE.
Please see this paragraph from the article:  "The House Republicans' No. 2 leader, Eric Cantor of Virginia, on Sunday said he repudiates Iott's actions and would not support someone who would dress in Nazi attire. His remarks on "Fox News Sunday" came after Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, of Florida, cited Iott as an example of GOP candidates with extreme views."
Do you agree with Cantor?  Can you imagine Schultz saying anybody reenacting WWII (for education purposes, not for fun!) has "extreme views"?   The Wiking Group reenacts different military situations and I Googled them to find THIS WEBSITE that explains what's up.  I'd hate to think how many American actors have worn Nazi uniforms in film.........should they all get repudiated by Debbie Wasserman Schultz?
I'm curious....I could be misreading or misinterpreting something, maybe I don't know all the facts?...do you think nobody should ever wear a NAZI uniform in a reenactment which is meant to be educational?   We know Schultz went overboard because it's almost November 2, but did Cantor, too?
What do you think?
(I'd attach an image just to illustrate this post as I usually do but I'd hate to be taken for a whacko Nazi website)

The TRUTH hurts....think there will be money for pills to kill the pain? Another excellent Pris's Post

From Priscilla:

This week, MacDonalds announced that they would have to drop their medical insurance (HERE) for employees because it was unaffordable for them to continue to offer it. At issue is a new requirement banning annual caps on benefits, which began phasing in last month.
Almost instantly, alarm bells rang in the White House. Ah, but they were quick to approve a waiver for MacDonalds, and exempt them for a year. Problem solved.

But wait, Jack in the Box figured if MacDonalds could get a waiver, why couldn’t they? Almost simultaneously, the dominos began to fall. As of now, twenty eight more companies have followed suit and they too have applied for waivers. That’s thirty, and it stands to reason the list will grow.

I guess you could call this timing an unintended consequence so soon and so close to the election!! Administration waivers are being issued to stop the dumping of medical insurance by companies, and where it stops nobody knows.

And here people thought they could "keep the insurance they have". Helloooooo! These waivers are good for a year, but a year from now Obama will be running for re-election, and I don't think he'll want this to be a topic of conversation. So, do we think the waivers will be extended? I do. With this administration everything is political, but we’re not supposed to know it. We’re supposed to think they care. At this point, anyone who believes that has a screw loose.

Of course we were never meant to keep our insurance because the costs will be driven too high for us poor slobs out here in the hinterland to afford, thanks to the government which planned this from the beginning. So, the govt. will knock on our doors and say, "we're here to help", ergo, the public option will rear it's ugly head once again.
Here’s a newsflash. The healthcare bill is the public option.

Just one problem. Timing is everything. Welcome to Obamacare.......ummm....uh...but not quite yet, there's an election just around the corner! One would get the impression the administration didn’t bargain for this or they would’ve delayed the imposition of this part of their plan to go into effect. So, they have to backpedal. One wonders if anyone in Washington has read this bill yet. These are the people who are going to decide our healthcare?

This is about power not pesky details like the American people’s well being, or the nuisance called the Constitution. No, the healthcare bill is a patched together, 2700 page document for the purpose of getting it passed. It was not put together so as to be workable except to make it impossible for average citizens to afford private insurance, thereby assuring the destruction of the private insurance industry, and the government taking it over. And power, ladies and gentlemen, is what this administration is all about, nothing more, and nothing less!

Z:  I'd like to add this email I got from my insurance agent a few weeks ago:
"I do believe that once all the Obamacare requirements for insurance companies are in place, the premium  for your policy will be so high that you will have no choice but to go to the government pool. THAT WAS THE ADMINISTRATION'S OBJECTIVE!
In any event, I have asked my clients to just stay "as is" until more info is provided and the November election has passed."

Thanks, Priscilla, for another excellent Priscilla's Post....   Please, everybody, get this to as many voters as you know; we've GOT to win on Nov 2 and do all we can to turn this awful health thing around!!

Our friend MUSTANG sent just emailed me THIS article, which included this information:

"If the doctor is right, and he is not alone in saying this, the proposed sale of the three Mercy hospitals becomes a harbinger of what will happen nationally as a result of ObamaCare slowly tightening its government tentacles over the private health care system. Which means the sale of the three Mercy hospitals has added Scranton to what the Wall Street Journal has already called ObamaCare's "trail of destruction."  Z: You'll want to read the rest, believe me.   It's getting uglier and uglier....and the government's going to have to come up with an AWFUL lot of money to keep hospitals from closing down under the government's mandates....wait, doesn't that sound silly considering Obama says his plan will save money?   By WHOM?
geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeZ!
